  1. The RMC Wild Moose looks like a cool ride, hopefully someone down here gets one.
  2. Have we got any Rove McManus impersonators out there?
  3. It sounds very iconic, and maybe they can build the helix of a coaster around it so it can be the first hotel in the world inside a ride. Seriously, I'd stay there if I was doing a night event like Fright Nights and the price was reasonable. Conferences and film production people might be a good occupancy base on top of tourists.
  4. I'd love to do WWW at night, even better if there's an overlay. Not on fast track, sigh.
  5. It doesn't look like the Underground Package even has fast track for the rides just the mazes lol. I guess Fast Track Mazes and Rides will cost almost the same, hard choice. I value the ride component because you don't get to ride MW coasters at night all that often.
  6. Oh sorry, I thought it was Wicked Twister 2 lol. Are amusement parks around the world having a comp for the least imaginative ride name? Will it really get to the top of the back spike, or will it do a Tower of Terror 2? I was fortunate enough to ride the original many times and will always remember the pure exhileration of that launch.
  7. I've been involved in a lot of product wind downs, and in my opinion which hopefully is obvious, just tell them the product is being wound up and here's your options, emphasising benefits. Jacking up the prices ridiculously and hoping people quit the product lol. It really creates a perception about VRTP. I'll visit eventually too, though I'll be quite circumspect about it. Maybe some better product offerings for Fright Nights will get me up. Last year I wasn't going to bother and only went to Fright Nights because friends were going too, who I hadn't seen in 3 years thanks to COVID. At the end of the day VRTP can do what they want and consumers will do what they want based on what value perception they have of their product offerings.
  8. Lol I only noticed that on the g-link heading to the airport bus yesterday morning (we were staying at Surfer's Paradise north). Did Infinity for the first time in decades. Still seems to be going strong. Shame Dracula's haunted attraction is gone, so cheesy. The talking shark animatronic was hilariously ridiculous, and the way they suggested sharks are just sitting there waiting to prey on humans.
  9. Wow, glad I didn't bother going to Seaworld on Sunday (possibly much the same as yesterday). I'd made the assessment it wasn't worth the risk prior to the trip. This membership thing has really blown up in their faces PR wise. As a potential customer, I didn't bother this trip just past based on broader issues with the parks, and that report in the previous post adds to the case against.
  10. Not to be outdone at Cedar Point, Magnum is sinking. Looking forward to seeing what this will actually be, soon enough, they won't be able to hide it from us lol. I have fond memories of riding TTD it's opening year.
  11. @Brad2912 better still, make it a gate opener KPI, where all your other KPIs automatically fail if you don't get the gate opener. I've implemented stuff that's created a few of them in my time, it's fun watching execs squirm.
  12. Sounds more like Doomsday Destroyed. It's a mediocre ride in my opinion. Frankly mystified why they got it, must have got it cheap. At least the precinct is pretty cool. Clearly customer satisfaction is not a KPI at MW lol, maybe they'll start caring more when revenue contracts considerably. Do they under-resource maintenance, so it takes longer and/or they can't do work concurrently?
  13. I'm just a member of the general public, and it seems logical that eventually this reputational damage is going to hit them where it hurts. There were so many better ways to handle the objective of winding down memberships than jacking the price up exponentially. I'm going to the GC this weekend, mostly because my GF is speaking at a conference. I thought about going to Sea World on Sunday, but I'm not going to bother - why spend all that money when I only want ride Leviathan, and who knows if it will be up. Compounded by Jet Rescue under maintenance, which at least is known. First time I've visited the GC and not gone to at least one of the parks. Definitely did not consider heading up Maintenance World in Oxenford.
  14. ^They could get Knoebels in as consultants, they are the masters of that.
  15. ^That's my understanding. The door to the ride was open when I left the function at Coney Island and workmen were going in after their lunch. Couldn't see any machinery.
  16. ^It sounded more like a mega refurb, and I know there are heritage guidelines. I didn't get into too much technical detail as I was talking to the execs.
  17. I forgot to add: Halloscream is planned for 27-31 October, with an 18+ night onnthe Saturday night. A hard ticketed Luna Park lights out event is planned for July.
  18. Was just at a function hosted by the CEO of Luna Park, for Friends of Luna Park where a plaque was unveiled in recognition of their efforts. They are rebuilding wild mouse from the ground up. Capital is fully allocated for the project now.
  19. I'm going there on Thursday for a function. I'll see if I can get a look at what's going on.
  20. @DaptoFunlandGuy Lol I was at Kentucky Kingdom and they had on a constant loop on Lightning Run and Storm Chaser that you must have two fully formed feet and two fully functional hands to ride. You can read into that what you like what may be a good sized demographic of the park.
  21. Yeah, I'd check it out. I got on DC Rivals once, and I still some K-tape on the side of my knee from playing sport the night before, and the ride of freaked. I pulled it off right in front of them and said there's no problem, and somehow I managed to get a ride even though they were still concerned. I know in the US, some parks even announce that you must have full use of both hands to ride.
  22. I hope they at least keep the Minotaur statue, that is impressive. I've found the Maurer SC2000 spinning coasters to be a lot of fun (like at Seabreeze in NY State) if they were to add a realistic and appropriate coaster.
  23. There's a cheap version of the Easter Show on the green in the Entertainment Quarter at Moore Park, there's some rides there, but nothing special. More aimed at families. SYDNEY EASTER FAMILY SHOW - Entertainment Quarter
  24. While I'm supportive, given their circumstances just after they launched season passes, part of being willing to pay $199 for the season pass for me was the additional incentives that didn't happen. For some reason I didn't get the $99 offer to renew, but $125 is palatable. They've got to get the wild mouse going again lol, it was my partner's first ever coaster, and she refuses to ride it ever again. It gives me the opportunity to encourage her to try again.
  25. It's been closed since what, August or September and that's on top of a lengthy closure earlier in 2022. Is it a bugdet thing or something seriously wrong they didn't anticipate? There's been plenty of things they didn't get around to like the season pass loyalty rewards, the app. To be fair covid delaying reopening might have hit them hard.
