  1. How is it not Joker themed if you are saying the Joker has taken over? His in AA His in Super-Villains Unleashed Precinct. Some would argue that he plays a part in Doomsday Destroyer. Would an appearance in another attraction be to much? How many rides is to many for the Joker to appear in? Why are we talking about this here?
  2. I have a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach that this is as good we would get from a "Downtown Dreamworld". The Lego store & the Patisserie & Grill is a look into what “Downtown Dreamworld” will be offering as an outside experience without entering Dreamworld. I have some questions. If the “Downtown Dreamworld” ever grows legs and gets off the ground and considering we now have 2 experiences outside of DW where will they build “Downtown Dreamworld”. Is Patisserie & Grill dining style enough to draw customers to "Downtown Dreamworld"?
  3. The issue I have with Arkham Asylum is if you have no knowledge of Arkham Asylum it can be easy to jump to the conclusion that it’s a Joker Coaster. If you have a little knowledge about Arkham Asylum like me, it would be hard to name the other characters that’s come from Arkham Asylum. People who follow the DC comics can say until they are blue in the face that it not a Joker coaster but for somebody who doesn’t follow it. All I see is Joker. That’s the problem you get when you name a ride with an ambiguous name. If the new coaster ends up being themed to the Joker what do people think about having 2 themed Joker coasters in the park?
  4. Excellence is in the details. Give ATTENTION to the details and excellence will come.
  5. Bumped 6 years latter because I'm an idiot. Is anybody going to the Commonwealth Games events being held at the Village Studios?
  6. @Jakev8 are the burgers any different from the ones they serve in Grid Burgers & Sports Bar?
  7. I'm trying to work out what this animal is. Is it a Pitbull dwarf adult tiger?
  8. Only one? When you said "usually at the top" I thought you had ridden many.
  9. @djrappa I took my daughter for her first babyccino at lunch. Buying Lego and grabbing a coffee without having to go into DW is a winner. You are right. My complaint would be it's very, very noisy when it's busy. I don't know if the aircon is still getting sorted but is was also very warm. I missed out on them.
  10. Saying something is the greatest in the southern hemisphere is never that exciting when you look at what countries are in the southern hemisphere.
  11. Being Fastpass smart is the best way of getting the most out of Disney. How I do it. Skeet example time: Disneyland has opened and the first fastpast in my pocket might be Indian Jones and it says I can ride from 9.am. At 9am I'm not at Indian Jones, I'm at Splash Mountain. The second it hits 9am I pull a fastpast out of Splash Mountain. Now I have 2 Fastpasses in my pocket. I head back over towards Indian Jones and if I see a small wait time on my way I might jump on that attraction. It's you are in a large group, have a runner. Before the days of mobile phones, walkie talkies was a common sight among guest, for this purpose.
  12. The Village sign is back on the post. I didn't take any pictures because nobody wants to see my crap night time shots but both signs are now lit up at night. The white light shines from under the capital.
  13. Thank you @themagician I just did a drive-by and as I thought the top piece of the support has been removed again.
  14. What is going on with this piece of track? They should have also said the pinkest roller coaster.
  15. @Glubbo & @themagician Can you tell us what time you both took your photos?
  16. We are overdue for a poll and I wish you added one to this topic. (sarcasm intended comment as a joke) As for your question, would it be a good idea? I think it’s a terrible idea. You are breaking my unique rule and all you are doing is copying MW. If you want a new parade my suggestion is for it to be at SW. If the Spit casino ever gets off the ground, I would like to see SW try and capitalise on it. SW opening the front of the park up at night, all the way to the kids ride area. SW to run a nightly Fire & Water parade on the lake where families can gather, have dinner and ride a few rides.
  17. How I see it- This is 100% a cash grab by Ardent Leisure to prop up the books. The most useful information I got from the ASX update was this. “engage with third party developers to discuss potential development opportunities” Ardent Leisure aren’t in the business of hotels. How does DW compete with Village new hotel when Ardent do not build hotels? They sell the land and get somebody else to do it. How does Ardent Leisure compete with MW night-time precinct? They sell the land and get somebody else to do it. Even if Ardent have the vision of a CityWalk what another party is willing to do and Ardent want could be 2 completely different things. A lot of members of Parkz would remember Dreamworlds failed attempts to establish at night time scene with AVPX laser tag, V8 simulators, Flowrider & Dreamworld Cinema. DW failed Skeet’s number one rule. Make it unique. DW believes that I’m willing to drive past 5 other laser tags places on my way to DW, just because this laser tag is at DW. This is what Village continues to do so much better than DW. Bringing unique experiences that you can’t do anywhere else in Australia. In other news, the wolves have started to position themselves to strike. “The company is preparing to face down a push for board representation from two activist investors who have snapped up almost 8 per cent of the company. Ardent has confirmed that Ariadne Australia directors Dr Gary Weiss and Mr Kevin Seymour requested board seats early this month, but a formal meeting has yet to take place. The company has attempted to pre-empt the push with a management shake-up that last month saw the appointment of a new chief executive, Simon Kelly, the sidelining of previous boss Deborah Thomas and a strategic review of the business by external consultants.”
  18. I think you can buy a cream to get rid of that.
