  1. @AlexB I thought this would always be the new lakeside precinct talked about in the approvals due to it would be easier to turn a swamp into a lake. I’m still going with that idea but I do believe the new roller coaster will also be in this new lakeside precinct. The entertainment precinct could be what is getting built at the moment or could be the new golf setup. I have been waiting on the approval to show up for the new golf building and we have seen nothing yet. I can only assume that the entertainment precinct is actually the new Top Golf.
  2. You've gone soft since you have had a child @AlexB (agree to disagree on the definition) Where is Push when you need him. The new proposed lake present which I would believe to be a lake would need to be in a low point. If this was built in the shown area then this could really open the land usage up.
  3. I had no choice of words for you because I was not talking to you. MW has not reached critical mass. Looney Tunes River Ride was removed and a new ride installed in the same shed. "Replacement" happened and it’s real. If they build a new ride in the other half of the shed then that would be 1 added ride. I’m not going to derail a whole topic to continue a discussion on the meaning of "replacement". If you want to talk further about the meaning of "replacement" then bring it up in “Let’s talk shit”. There is an age bracket that MW do not cater for. Once you are no longer a youngling but not quite ready for tummy turning rides then what have you got to go on?
  4. It is never an added attraction if it replaces a attraction.
  5. @The_Ninja_59 Main Constructions is mainly a civil construction and would be overseeing the whole project. They might be doing the install of the ride. Does anyone know if Intamin always commission their own ride? Would MW staff install the ride?
  6. I definitely want more coasters and the bigger the better. I just want MW to babysit my kids better and give me more time to ride. When I go to Magic Mountain I always mark it down as a lay day for the family and leave them at the hotel.
  7. Thank you @The_Ninja_59 Are you able to see what company are doing the install?
  8. I normally don't care if a park is heavy towards roller coasters @AlexB except if after just getting to ride 1 or 2 coasters my wife and kids have already finished all the rides they can ride. MW kid’s area is in need of a major upgrade. If MW is spending as much as we are lead to believe then MW shouldn’t put it all into 1 age group.
  9. @AlexB I think the photo that you where looking at was the photo of the gear case cover. That cover was installed a while ago but was removed again before testing. We are probably talking about different photos.
  10. Good photo @Theme Park Girl. I can't wait to they add the theming to the outside of the arms.
  11. @Theme Park Girl I think you might be posting to the wrong topic.
  12. In TopGolf press release it was mentioned it had to be built very simular the USA ones. The photos attached are of some of the TopGolf in the USA.
  13. Prefab cladding by the look of it. That blue gets peeled off after it is installed. Zoom your camera in just like you did on the bolt and see if it is the product I'm thinking of.
  14. I thought they said it was going to cost around $20.00 an hour for a family to use the range. By the video it looks like you have to use their clubs.
  15. I'm putting my money on the new announcement being for the new cabin accommodation. If you look at the old faithful site you can see the make decision date is the 13/07/2016. This might also include an announcement for the hotel. I also have a fuzzy feeling the new golf addition will be the centre of a bigger precinct.
  16. Not talking about 10 years ahead. I’m not talking about a parks dreams or wishes. A new coaster would be ordered a long time ahead of any construction happening on site.
  17. I think they have had a few issues with the install. Arms went up. Arms went down. Gear guard went on. Gear guard went off.
  18. What do people think about Australian parks not releasing new attractions information like the USA parks do? For me it could cost a park receiving no money from me. Nearly every year I travel to the USA to visit family so I normally only buy one season pass for an Aussie park each year. When I buy a pass I can only go on what I already know. For example I know next year that MW is getting a new coaster and I don’t know what DW is getting, if anything. What makes Australian parks so different that they don’t market a new ride before they get it?
  19. I think DW need to buy Belinda some new wheels.
  20. I hope we didn't scare you off @The Original Belinda Brown When DW's CEO was asked about The Wanda Group interest in building a new theme park on the Gold Coast he replied with. We have our own plans and will be a very different looking place in four years as well.” Was he just talking it up or will DW look like a different place in 4 years?
  21. @The Original Belinda BrownYou have lead straight to my next question. When DW first opened up is was very much inspired by Disney. MW & SW pretty much says what they are in there name. What is DW direction or idea of what is it? Now the Koalas’ have their own dating site are you thinking of cashing in Kenny?
  22. LOL @Theme Park GirlDon't waist your time. @The Original Belinda BrownThanks for answering my last questions. Do you think DW will ever build another large attraction? I do have concerns and some other members do too. I believe that DW will never put in a new ride to the scale of the TOT again. We know DW have spent a lot of money on fillers since the change of ownership but we are yet to see a new attraction that makes me go. “I must do that” The Buzz is good but it’s no superman. When the major attractions like TOT are too old to upkeep are we just going to be left with a permanent fair?
