height requirement is very specific. There has always been a bit of a myth in terms of Superman appearing in park - apparently some guy got shot because people believed he was bulletproof. Don't know how much truth there is in that, but you never see Superman in-park anywhere that i can think of. It'll be interesting to see what we end up with...

Well I think dodgems is pretty well confirmed given the closure dates. I'd say Showstage is a definite possibility too, given the studios being out, and the 'new land' opening right in front. -

As usual... Rappa makes sense. -
ok. maybe they changed it but back when it was just VIP, usually a renewal would be electronically renewed, without need for new photo or pass.
-
Because they usually don't give a new pass if you renew your pass, i'd say the reason for lack of expiry is just that.

it is a little disappointing, but given there is so much going on right now with VRTP, I think in this case it was a matter of it being overlooked, and then at the last minute when people realised the date, we've quickly rushed out some cups, made a cake.... here's hoping they really put something massive into their 30th. -
Am I the only one cursing the park over the size of that bridge, and wishing they'd made it MUCH wider? As for the water feature speculation, that ring doesn't appear to be level, there doesn't appear to be any waterproofing. Its definitely got something coming to it, but i'm thinking more a daytime version of a nickelodeon light show they have at the resort or something like that.

Really? AOS Steaks are pre-cooked at Stars Cafe? That multimillion dollar shed of magical dreams doesn't have a kitchen capable of catering to the seating it provides, and needs to send food on a round trip to a venue that only ever served light snacks and couldn't possibly handle 500+ steaks..... I don't think so... I'm pretty sure there is sufficient kitchen space below the stadium seating to accommodate some pretty massive kitchens. Transporting steak across property is a sure fire way to get a shitty steak. Soundstages aren't possible for reasons as mentioned. Dodgems, Scooby, Showstage, Chinatown Alley, New Shed Thing, and the LTRR maintenance area are all possible, although whether likely is up for discussion - I can't see a terror maze going into a kiddie area - its just going to clash too much during the day. As for HWSD arena, the road out of the back of HWSD arena, and the road out the back of LTRR - the arena isn't going to get locked out for months just to build a maze as mentioned above. They could though, if the show got the arse and they needed development time to bring a new one (we can only hope). As for the roads - those roads, i believe, are the only roads from BOH around to the southern end of th epark, without using the studio accesses... I recall one night at a FN the Fire Brigade used that road to access Scooby for a fire call, so seriously unlikely they're going to block either of those. -

I'd say with the wall and bitumen, they're not preparing the site for any new ride (except a trailer mount temporary attraction). In the off season I foresee a nice set of table and chairs to sit and relax in, or another facility - food carts etc. If they were bringing a new ride in - the bitumen means its a trailer, and trailer rides usually have their own rear facade. -
In terms of operational ability etc it's fantastic. I love what it has allowed them to do - but the aesthetics - the 'escaping from everydayland' - the feeling of walking through a street that is set somewhere in yesteryear, and feeling like you're on a film set... thats the part that the roof has affected, and is the only reason I dislike it.

That totally should be something that Fox looks to partner up with someone (Universal perhaps?) as that totally works! -
I'm thinking the counterweight connections are either: additional theming to be attached to the outside, to continue the theme of 'doomsdays arms' a rigging point for lifting - as the only other apparent connection point is where it has bolted onto the main arm, and it won't be used again. I'm thinking the first is more likely given they've highlighted it with white though.

Guys, you're trying to reason with a moron. My plan is to ignore everything he says, downvote every post he makes, and move on. I suggest you consider it too.
