  1. Standard chain link fence (powdercoat black). not big enough for a driving range once you put the bottom end in the ground - bent top edge for application of barbed wire. I'd say rather than relying on temporary fencing to keep people out, this will be the new permanent park boundary fence to demarcate the ride envelope for the new coaster \ and\or the boundary fence for topgolf.
  2. The other major entry point to the US is usually Dallas - there are some noteworthy parks in Tx, but I believe most are a bit of a hike from Ft Worth.
  3. The Mickey's fun wheel is a darn sight larger than the LPS wheel though, isn't it?
  4. I don't know how enjoyable a flat roller coaster would be - it wouldn't roll, nor coast very well
  5. Clearly hoses run through the ring, so it stands to reason tanks aren't going to be INSIDE the ring - surely they'd be able to run lines further afield to a location much easier to swap out tanks though?
  6. As for your picture puzzle Skeet - that bracket on the arm is pretty well in line with the ring. the artist's impression doesn't seem to show anything there, but i'm assuming something that will fit in with the Ring theme...?
  7. Shockwave has a loose items box at the start of the ride, which is your first indication that phones \ cameras etc wouldn't be permitted... but i think a go pro chesty wouldn't be an issue, and clearly based on @reanimated35's quote, as it isn't in the Big9, i don't think it would be a problem - but TBH if they allowed you to take your phone on board, it isn't really going to cause an injury to anyone if you dropped it, and its unlikely to get into machinery, so i'd like to think it'd be more a case of 'at your own risk'... although in some cases it would depend on the operator.
  8. Thats the general gist of it - any ride you can take your bag \ phone with you is generally ok to record with any device. Of course you're risking losing it into the water etc. if it isn't secured properly.
  9. I doubt the tanks would be in the structure - far easier to refill \ replace Co2 in a ground mount, run lines to where the outlets are.
  10. Off topic Skeet - but i'm interested - why the name change?
  11. Lol. I don't believe so, but my source is also a member here who was at the park yesterday. I'm not sure whether they got pics, but i'm not stealing their thunder, just retracting my previous certainty to a somewhat more open minded view.
  12. Picture 2 shows tubes \ hoses \ cables coming out of the end. I'd assume this would be something to do with it. The artists image you posted just above shows it coming out of each of those 'vent' type markers, but it doesn't appear to be the case. If the devices aren't bulky, we may see them installed once the ring is in place, especially if they are sensitive, to minimise damage during the install.
  13. I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet, but apparently there were some people within the confines of this fencing yesterday, and i'm now not so sold that its just grass growing. have to wait and see.
  14. We've seen that one before @GoGoBoy - i'd say their teaser was just using the generic manufacturer's rendering rather than any artist's rendition with added theming - you wouldn't want to let the cat out of the bag this early - i'm confident we'll see more than what you see in that image...
  15. I'm still with Magician - looks like the grass has been worn out a bit and they're trying to grow it back. these fences (known in events as 'bike rack fencing') aren't sufficient to keep people out of a 'restricted area' - they're just there as a barrier to encourage the area be avoided. If something were inside of it you didn't want people to get to if they wanted to, you'd either need the fence manned by security, or you'd need a higher fence. i'm sold its to let the grass grow.
  16. In context, i'm inclined to agree with @reanimated35 on this one. "A while ago" can vary as you say from not within the last few minutes to several years. but in context it makes clear the appropriate timeframe - consider this: Hey, Is Jim around here? Oh, he was here a while ago, but he left This implies maybe half an hour, to a couple of hours ago. You wouldn't be talking about Jim being here 5 months ago. When did that movie come out? Oh, it came out a while ago Since movies are released once a week, the length of time a 'while' constitutes would be much longer. If it was this week you wouldn't say a while, nor would you say a while for something that was last week, the week before or pretty well anytime that month. For movies, i'd use "Recent" to talk about something that had been out in say the last 2-3 months, and 'a while' for anything longer than that - and i'm sure general usage would mostly agree. Some popular films can spent that long screening in a cinema, while others hit DVD not long after. If you take Krampus for example - it came out in December 2015 in most regions. It's already available on DVD. I wouldn't class this as recent - but again that all depends on context - it came out recently if you're considering the film industry since inception, but in today's modern world of 'everything and everyone, instantly' it changes.
  17. i'm thinking primarily more gore in the streets. the mazes do well, but the scare zones are usually just made up \ costumed characters walking intimidatingly. I'd like to see them have prosthetics - missing limb, blood spraying out (non-staining and washable of course). Hell - hire some amputees and do some really funky creative stuff with them.
  18. ^that's because MDMC above all others is the worst for rider fit. with our capacity and speed of loading (both of which are almost non-existent) - a tester seat really isn't needed as there is usually a station full of them to try out... far less in public than one out at the entrance.
