  1. my completely uneducated guess would be on the site of the old octopus. its about the only clear space i can think of, excepting the mouse (which I don't think is clear yet).
  2. Dude, seriously... quit it. It's annoying when thats the only new post to read. And yes, I do realise that your replies were neither one-word or single phrase, but i'm sure you get the point.
  3. Yes that is true - East Coast USA and Japan. I don't think Tokyo Disney has Marvel for that reason.
  4. I think it's like a tube. For my own opinion, i'm thinking some of the news outlets got a little bit of an arse kicking over the DW thing with all of the wild rumors they started. Obviously not publicly, but privately I reckon they got a little nudge from some people in industry, the police, or perhaps even their own management when the true information was revealed.
  5. Do I get to whine about being bullied and harassed because my joke got 3 downvotes now?
  6. Well, Wet N Wild is doomed to be closed down for good then, aren't they?
  7. all i see is an aerial image without specifics. I'm sure we all are of the understanding that the station will be somewhere within the triangle of space that is between the swamp, the studios and the JL building... naturally that means a final turn will of course need to be somewhere in that area. It's a shame there isn't anywhere high in that area where you can take a camera. If MW had an observation tower attraction it would be perfect!
  8. Wow. those pillars look to be almost double the spacing of the GL pillars! Looks to be about 4.8-5m apart. thats a big span. What looks like conduit on the top of the pillars suggests we'll see something on top.
  9. I wonder if it is to have any sort of theme (like the GL lights on the pillars) that might give us a bit more of a hint...
  10. This is a good read: http://www.couriermail.com.au/rendezview/dreamworld-gave-me-the-best-memories-of-my-life-please-dont-let-the-dream-be-over/news-story/fe41ca432dfc30e7ead3caabf97df591#itm=newscomau|home|nca-homepage-topstories|5|link|homepage|homepage&itmt=1481674883605
  11. I had forgotten about them, hence why I didn't list them in my original post. You are correct... although again what I had meant to say was recent times - as both viper and skyway demonstrated. They are the same company, and i'm sure decisions about the waterpark are made with both divisions discussing. Like i said - it is semantics, i'm not pushing that point, but it is a point of difference to the rest of the park. What I meant by the train being different is that many aspects of the train couldn't just be demolished, because they were integrated into other structures (viper, seal stadium). I did say they could have taken out the track, but its a lot of effort for something that didn't really impede anyone. The station itself of course you are right about, but it was a nice photo spot for some time with the 'train' parked at the station. I think i've got a wedding photo here somewhere we took up on the platform...
  12. Sea Viper had been 'up again' 'down again' whilst they tried to get it operational. it's last uptime was february 2014, and it was 'closed for maintenance' from there until around July 2014 when Sea World announced they were closing it for good. (link). According to the August edition of the Parkz Update (link) Sea Viper was almost completely removed in less than a week. My point was that once a decision (and an announcement) is made, removal is quick. I guess it hasn't always been that way in the past, but I was turning my memory to more recent events. You are right about Bermuda. Didn't realise it had been that long - 2011 is a long time! As for the water park - its semantics, but it wasn't part of the park at the time of closure. it belongs to the resort. The train is a different kettle of fish - sure they could have removed all the tracking, but with Viper's station housing them, along with the seal stadium tunnel, it would have been impossible to completely remove all trace of it (although yes, they could have done a better job than they did). As each part of the park has received some attention, it is slowly disappearing, but it didn't really occupy any usable land (although it did cause havoc for pathways). Edit: oops. didn't see page two. Great Minds @Jamberoo Fan!
  13. Take Sea Viper as your lead here - Sea World can not afford to have old SBNO rides laying about. Once a decision (and an announcement) is made, removal of the ride is very quick: Bermuda Sea Viper SkyWay just as examples.
  14. well i'd suggest stock \ earlier photo but i know thats unlikely. Definitely your doppelganger then.
  15. Yeah. Even with my head tilted sideways, looks pretty busy for a tuesday!
  16. make it VR. same ride experience, better game integration... you could BE Donkey or Diddy.
  17. http://www.news.com.au/travel/travel-updates/dreamworld-visitor-numbers-below-average-on-reopening-weekend/news-story/5ab59e47f4026a65473a6ac0876ac677 That's a carton @pin142
  18. Funny though that on the one hand they've announced an attraction to replace VR, but on the other hand they're building MW's new coaster and they still haven't said much more than worlds best theme park drawcard.
  19. Robb wouldn't be cruel, he'd just ban him and ragefit.
  20. it would be nice if they updated JDS to reflect the rest of the park.
  21. Regardless, if you're expecting to be considered a media outlet, and you use a photo that isn't yours, you should identify that it isn't you that owns it - you'll note most online media sites do state 'source:supplied' in the case where the company the article is about supplied it. Since you found it necessary to correct someone's grammatical error - i want to point out the word is 'relevant'. The majority of newcomers that get a hard time get it because they either don't follow the guidelines, or don't learn from others in the community who give them helpful tips and advice on how to fit in... or because they troll. Couldn't tell you about VRTP policy since i'm not an employee. Can't say i've heard many people IRL discuss Parkz - except for those who are members here, none of which have anything bad to say about the site, and in general only discuss irritants. Also - this: And as for new members - one only has to look at http://www.parkz.com.au/forums/forum/34-introduce-yourself/ to see that those that take the time to start a discussion to introduce themselves (with one POPping exception) are generally welcomed, and in many cases similar interests strike off a conversation, or helpful suggestions are made.
