  1. Just to add another thought: Roxy is really the only 'family' ride at the park that is suitable for all ages and body types. It should definitely have some more effort (and money) thrown at it, because it is starting to look a little dated. I'd personally support money spent on this over another roller coaster.
  2. Guys, they've hung two PA speakers in a tree. That's not a step in the right direction, that literally the least amount of effort possible. Movie World has always been my happy place, but the place now is honestly a glorified shopping centre with 2 decent coasters, a long void of anything interesting and then a water ride.
  3. I went to Sea World yesterday. I was extremely disappointed in the park opening when things clearly aren't ready. For me, I don't mind. I have a pass and can come back whenever. I expected issues. But for the poor people who spent $100s of dollars, I would be extremely angry. I saw no signs explaining that these are new rides and to expect delays. Trident and Vortex were down (at least until I left around 2pm). Jet Rescue 1 train (no surprises) to take up the slack... What Village should be doing (same comments I said during school holiday madness at MW with rides closed) is organise the essentials for guests - signage, shade, water fountains, communication. It's the little things that help guests feel cared for.
  4. Thanks for noticing! As always, we welcome any feedback on here or in private. 😀 We aren’t here to replace anything or take over the world, just excited to have a few likeminded mates around for a laugh every month or so.
  5. Seems like the admin building was sunken behind the Super Troopers ride to keep BOH areas hidden. This park really was Disney-lite. If only they could keep that influence into the modern era with newer technologies and slightly bigger ride budgets. F**k me, this whole thread just depresses me.
  6. Wow, that's incredible. Is it possible to upload it to a workshop or something? I'd love to play it!
  7. Don't really care to share... ask me again later in the year
  8. While I do technically agree with this and there's ways they could have promoted the current offerings, us enthusiasts are constantly barking on about how the marketing depts need to announce things earlier on. This event was really highlighting the future of the park, and honestly, I think locals will respond sooner rather than later because it gives them some reassurance that the park will stick around for a few more years.
  9. FKin' awesome, great work Dreamworld.
  10. dang, I had no idea it was open only a few weeks ago.
  11. Bit disappointed they aren't running a second train on weekends. But hey, that's not surprising either...
  12. Yep, I experienced the rattle too on the last 2 rows, but worse in the backwards row IMO (perhaps the way I ride in the seat?). I didn't really feel it day one, but whether or not I was too preoccupied with excitement. @Richard has mentioned a possible wheel alignment issue, which I hope it is. Everyone says how smooth Mack coasters are, and I assume the forward rows are smoother (I have only ridden in the front once, and never in the middle of the train). It's a beautiful coaster, but I definitely feel the vibration is noticeable and uncomfortable (not overly however).
  13. So they're putting two mazes in one shed? Wonder how that's going to pan out...
  14. I've ridden a few Eurofighters and I've found them to be quite 'abrupt' at times. I've never been a huge fan.
  15. News agency said it was the first NIL in the world. I got angry. Then I hear the CEO say the same thing in the press conference....
  16. I can appreciate how realistic this map actually is. I also quite like the type of animation/artwork. However as a map it fails miserably. I think it's fine for a website, though.
  17. Re backseats - was there less of a wait for the backwards rows (factoring in time spent, as it's only 2 seats per train)? Also, do they usually 'cap' sales within a certain time period? I don't want to miss out if I do the first ride facing forwards.
  18. Really reminds me of Universal Orlando's Citywalk with the lake and shops around it. Let's hope it turns into something decent (or just turns into something...).
  19. In recent memory my most awesome marathoning experience was Mako at SeaWorld Orlando. Over 3 days I rode it in chunks of 10-15 times without having to leave the station. They were running two trains and it was really quiet in the park. I got to swap between A LOT of seats to experience it from all different rows and sides. It was a cool experience. And they were filming a TVC so we were in the non-models train But we had a drone that was filming our train as we raced past. I did two TPR trips in 2010 and we rode plenty of coasters during ERT and had some great marathoning experiences. My most memorable experience there was riding Prowler non-stop through the woods in complete darkness. It was one of my first woodies, too. At Dollywood I marathoned Thunderhead but got a bit over it. I waited outside the ride's entrance and got told to get back on lol.

  21. I was wondering how they were going to convert the old New York(?) section into sci-fi. Seems like they did it in the cheapest way possible. Hopefully they keep that white finish looking fresh. The inside theming looks great though. Very retro - I like it.
  22. Sorry, just going off what I've read online including from Richard as well.
