  1. I seem to remember universal studios Singapore doing the exact same thing when they first opened and look at what the granddaddy of theme parks is bringing in.MThe new system allows you to book in advance your whole holiday. Select the day you are going, select your fast passes. Book seats at the live showsand restaurants, (even reserve you roar add spot) online weeks (even months in some instances) before your day comes to visit. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/plan/my-disney-experience/passholder/ While I don't see our parks ever getting busy enough to warrant this, maybe wet n wild sydney could have sold passes for specific dates. Davetherave, they don't close the park for the fun of it. I'm sure they would love more people in the gates. More people=more money. It is a safety issue - nothing else! If I was one of the other parents and you complained to a poor staff member at the entry to let the group in even if they were over capacity.. And then my kid drowned in the pool because the park was already over capacity... I'm pretty sure I would be more pissed at you, then I would be at the park had they not let me in. Maybe during these busy times the park could post something on its wall advising of closures due to capacity, But not every reads this. Like Keegs said (and the best tip for visiting any park) get there as early as humanly possible to avoid disappointment,
  2. My mum and dad quite enjoyed MDMC and wanted multiple rides. So I guess it's not just for kids but the older market who may also not enjoy the big coasters get a kick out of it as well. I think MDMC is marketed incorrectly (something our parks have a habit of doing - see Justice League) If the marketing reflected what it was - a family coaster, and not a thrill ride then I think their would be fewer complaints. "A giant waterfall, twists and turns, exciting explosions, a storm, death defying special effects and a splash down like no other! Join our hero on a trip down under with over 20 animatronic effects, all on a boat on course for excitement!" -looney tunes river ride
  3. gotta increase the post count somehow...oops i did it as well. Adding to the discussion - never been a fan of waterparks so wouldn't make the effort to visit just for this., it does look like a nice park but needs some time for the greenery to grow in!
  4. "Malaysian casino operator Gentings resort unit is investing $300M in Foxs first-ever international theme park. Dubbed 20th Century Fox World, a ground-breaking ceremony was held today in the Southeast Asian country that boasts a number of theme parks, including a Legoland, but no studio-branded amusement destination." Highlights from the park will include: · More than 25 acres of land, featuring more than 25 rides and attractions from media based rides, thrill rides, dark rides, to childrens rides and water rides · Rides and attractions based on Twentieth Century Fox blockbuster titles like ICE AGE, RIO, ALIEN VS. PREDATOR, PLANET OF THE APES and NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM (additional film build outs to be announced at a later date)
  5. Interesting point thunder. We know that the studio next to Movieworld will be home to the table tennis and boxing, but it makes perfect sense to open something huge around this time!
  6. I was once very heavy (about 135kg) and lied to a slide op at WWW and said I was under the weight limt. Needless to say I flipped the raft and whacked my head. If in doubt, don't ride it hehe.
  7. Great Luke - can't wait to see the pics! Kuto - if you are referring to upwards seating pit i wasn't laughing at you. I was laughing at upwards seating pit which I have added to my fun words to say list whenever I can. 8. Yea am aware that the passes expire 30 June but the current advertising is saying they re only on sale til the 15th of this month. Hoping that the price comes down after this as there's only 6 months left... Anyway I'll guess we will find out.
  9. Based on absolutely nothing.... Just another poster sprouting opinion or guess as fact.... and nitro - this is not personal at all - just seems to be a lot of that lately. this forums breeds it. kinda back on topic - Have asked Santa for a pass for Christmas so I am hoping to get to the park in the new year. Kinda weird question - the VIP pass in its current form is only available til the 15th of December. Does anyone know (read know - not guess) what the plans will be for VIP pass after the 15th. Does anyone remember what they did with the VIP pass following White Christmas last year?

  11. Thanks Gazza.. Your description is Much appreciated...
  12. Gawd stop complaining and be happy for once people... You haven't even ridden it yet
  13. A lot of complaining about a tiny tiny thing... We are treated like consumers every minute of every day, why should a theme park be any different. Just smile at them and keep walking if your not interested. Problem solved... No need to be rude to people just doing a job.
  14. So a couple of years has passed and construction contracts have been awarded to local groups for infrastructure. It is only $100 million at this stage (no where near enough to complete the park with the rides) Skip to 3 minutes 11 for some info... (In Spanish ) http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PjPG-m_XB78
  15. Looks like the Today show(channel nine) is at Movieworld today. Not just a weatherman, the whole panel.
  16. Correct me if I'm wrong but. A) keeps groups moving together through the maze some people have a knee jerk reaction to being scared and first instinct is to flail arms. Keeping hands on shoulders diminishes e chances of an actor being hit accidentally.
  17. Im pretty sure this event sells itself neway. No need to spend money on advertising when they will no doubt sell out and spend the money elsewhere
  18. I hate that animated commercial! I thought seaworld was about education !!!!!!!
  19. http://www.rwgenting.com/en/themepark/fox/index.htm "For the first time, audiences will soon be transported into the worlds of their favorite Twentieth Century Fox properties, said Godsick. Brought to life by our partner Resorts World Genting, this theme park marks the launch of our global location based entertainment strategy. "Highlights from the park will include: More than 25 acres of land, featuring more than 25 rides and attractions from media based rides, thrill rides, dark rides, to childrens rides, and water rides Rides and attractions based on Twentieth Century Fox blockbuster titles like ICE AGE, RIO, LIFE OF PI, ALIEN, PREDATOR, and NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM (additional film build outs to be announced) The Dream Parade, featuring a one-of-a-kind, animatronics parade based on all characters and titles represented at the theme park Retail merchandise and themed food and beverage outlets"
  20. New Resident Evil attraction at Universal Studios Japan.. http://kotaku.com/a-frightening-look-inside-japans-newest-resident-evil-833310331 Looks like a lot of fun and. Like the two stages concept. You don't get to the final showdown if your group does not defeat the first stage. Each gun not holds 30 virtual bullets... Once ur out.. Ur out! Maybe this is the route Dreamworld are taking but I'd imagine scare actors would be to expensive for anything to long term
  21. The green light was on, the ride just seemed to be very dark with no lighting on the car or track. Didn't notice any effects in the windows at Scooby
