  1. Today is a very sad day For two reasons. Anzac day and Wonderlands closing. 5 years since Wonderlands closure. Its a say day And probaly don't need to tell about the importance of anzac day, Wondercam
  2. Alex, i just have ask you if you will eventully going to tell us what really happen to wonderland. You keep giving clues and that. I am not pressuring you to tell us (why would you listen to me anyway) but just wanted to know weather you will tell eventully. By the way i think a disney theme park would work at sydney. People are wanting a theme park in sydney so badly and look at jamberoo. They are doing fine in sydney so disney can do it Thanks, Wondercam
  3. I would be checking movie world and wet n wild into the list straight away. both those parks give you different type of rides and experiences. Then its between sea world and dreamworld. Like JD said, if you want to go and see animals and go on a few rides, sea world you should. But if your a thrill seeker go to dreamworld. I would personally go to dreamworld. Or go to both! Where are you going in australia? Is it just gold coast/brisbane? If not go to luna park sydney (everyone hear will say its stupid!). Its not quite the same as all our other parks but still is fun! O, and there is always Adventure World near perth. Havent been there but it looks cool. Or you could just go every park Hope this helped slightly, Wondercam
  4. Sorry to double post but i have just been to Jamberoo on the Friday of last week. It was deserted and the only ride that took time getting on was Go Karts. When i was on the go-karts i looked around for construction and I looked around the whole park. No construction. I guess they will start in the off-season. I hope no one minds but I decided I would do a little trip report on all rides. The ups and downs. I will also upload photos of Jamberoo that I took because the photos of Jamberoo on this website (Mostly Rapid River) Are not updated. Hopefully i can make it better with my so amazing photo skills The taipan- Fun going backwards and I always thought the one on the right was better. One operator at the top made it really slow to get on. And I think they added more holes to it as it seems there is more light in there which has actually made it worse. Chairlift- Not much to report. Good views! And we saw it brake down on friday. People on it for awhile. Surfhill- Carrying the mats up is a pain in the arse but the rides is fun and had no one there. Rapid River- Better that the last time i went on it. I don’t remember waves near the cave which made it more fun but still thought it was boring. We also got told off for throwing a tube to each other Splash Out Slides- These were working better that ever. You went to the top of the slides on turns and when at really high speeds. Minigolf- Fun, nothing to report. Outback bay- Freezing!! So cold!! We got in and got straight out. The waves were not that good either. So we did not come back to that ride. Tobbogan- Depends on which toboggan you get. One time i was flying down the track and next i was struggling to move. They are great and there was no complaits about the toboggan. The Rock- Fantastic! Nothing wrong there Racing Cars- First time we went no one there and we got on quickly. I was amazed to see how little cars were on the track and thought they would add more later in the day. They didn’t! They had an whole line of cars near the workshop that they could have put on. An hour it took us to get on and some cars were realy slow. Luckily I chose a fast car and i won the race But still the operator was a slow moving guy seemed to be bored. Very annoying The Train- Dident go on and looked fine. Billobong beach and others- Were to old to go on. Looked fine. Theres my report. All in all it was a good day. I asked some people there wether they knew of any construction but they said no Wondercam
  5. sorry to bring up an old topic, but when is this going to happen? Has construction started with the second Lazy river and Billabong beach? If they plan to build it this year, they would have got started by now. Would they? Wondercam
  6. they probaley worked out that it was so populer at luna park

  8. 3 new rides this year: Pirates Revenge: Log flume with pirate theming! Buried alive: Motion Simulater, with theming of being buried alive Hounted Hotel: Ghost train thing Looks good, im going. But i really dont like the taipan. I think its boring and the line is huge. Wondercam
  9. Yeah, mabye a bit to big though Wondercam
  10. Dident some one say there should be a small (NOT TEMPORARY!) drop tower out the back of coney Island or at the front in that small space between dodgems and coney island. If they did, i agree. If no one said anything, ill take the credit Wondercam
  11. Ok, sorry my mistake cadboy, Wondercam
  12. Just showing my skills Mabye he could not back it up but with some quotes from anthour topic i could back it up! your Quote cadboy You dont like upcharges
  13. Without somone debating about somthing the topics would be very boring. No, i think he is saying dreamworld and other parks like dreamworld or not comperible to sea world as sea world does not have as many (or good as quality rides) then a normal park in Australia. He also saying he thinks you get annoyed with dreamworld because they have a couple of upcharges. Im with him on that! Is this alright Whitsy? Thats good of them, Wondercam Yay, 50th post!!!!
  14. GRRRR! I will kill those people! Balmain? I wonder where in balmain, Wondercam
  15. I agree. What happen to disney adding a park in sydney? Or was it someone eles?
  16. fast food, theme parks is not a good mix imagine getting a bigmac deal with a great big shake or whatever and then going on a fast thrill ride.... I know there is that type of food at most theme parks all ready but if you introduced "burger sea world" agaist mcdonalds, which one is know better and draws in more customers. (kids mostly) Macs
  17. OK ,Whatever ever you say Even in amount of rides/attractions, not even in quality. San Diago: Same Amount of rides, better quality Sea world: Same amount of rides, not as good quality (exept Jet rescue) See the photos to prove it.
  18. Im leaning towards Whisty side here. I found sea world boring when i went there in 2004. (might of changed since then) I know the rollercoaster just opened. I was looking for things to do. I expected lots of rides with a few animals scatted accros the park. but eventuly i just rode the corkscrew 6 times. Even if Dreamworld might be using the statagy Gazza was saying i still think, because of the rides and quality of the rides and themeing, dreamworld is better. Who cares if there are upcharge attractions. Just dont go/pay for them. It is better than have more non-upcharge attraction and then the ammision price going up! I still found looking at animals for 4 hours was getting boring. And with not many rides in the park... Agreed!, Wondercam
  19. Thanks, Stef, Bussey. I hope i can find some photos though And happy birthday to Gazza!
  20. Good idea! Or mabye a roller coaster like dreamworld's eureka mine ride or what ever it is. Is that type a wooden wild mouse? muh, its fun whatever it is. Woodie, Woodie, Woodie. Wondercam
  21. THANKS STEF YOU MADE AN OLD WONDERLAND FAN HAPPY ! can anyone explain mountain cascades?? Any Photos?? I went to wonderland twice and never saw/went on this part of the beach Wonderland history only has one photo of this ride and it is at the bottom splash pool (not much help). Did it close 2004? If not when? Sorry for all this asking of questions, just trying to did up memorys Thanks, Wondercam
  22. Is there any chance it going anywhere else in Australia? If so, sydney could do with a theme park. All we have is Luna Park......Joy! Since Wonderland i have never been so bored
