  1. For those who are lucky enough to have visited the two themeparks with the most rollercoasters in the world, which did you find best and why? Which has the better ride selection? I hope I can visit these two parks in the near future and experience them for myself. Cheers
  2. Something I have wanted to see for a long time is a pandora's box ride. http://www.vekoma.com/index.php?option=com...5&Itemid=30 A spectacular addition to MW's currently small flat ride lineup. It is a dark ride and can be programmed to be a high thrill ride. Put in some mist, music and sweet lighting and you have a world first and a sensational ride. It also has mulitple theming opportunities. See above.
  3. That is safety issue so it won't change. But I do agree with the other stuff. The flumes have terrible capacity even with 4 of them they have a really slow moving line which is not worth the wait unless it is still inside the building which still takes about 20 minutes. I think they are good rides though and I don't no why most people dislike them. I rode the one closest to the Terror Canyons and though it was great.
  4. Well no new news has been posted. Can we expect a new ride in 09. I mean usually we would have heard something by now if it was anything major or even minor. What do you think, considering the current finacial crisis? I hope so, but I expect 2010 will be a big year at MW. Thoughts, Cheers,
  5. The Q150 pass is strictly for Queenslanders only.
  6. How are they going to know how often you have been to the park, unless you are a pass holder.
  7. Was this sent out to MyFun members via email, if so why didn't I recieve it?
  8. I have found it to be smoother in the rain and have never had a problem with the rain in my eyes on LW. I like the rain continually being shook off the top of the trains and falling on you.
  9. Haha good work disquising it. Those transitions and text slides really downgrade the quality of the film. Good to see it is still the typical themepark video program
  10. Gazza, I did not see any signs of Windows Moviemaker in there (typical thempark video program ). What program did you use? BTW nice work.

Could you explain what you mean please? I can't understand the post? Sorry Cheers,
  12. As much as anything it is to do with rider comfort. Being on a launching rollercoaster in the rain is painful as the rain is hitting you face at the speed you are travelling. I have been on SE once when it started to rain and it hurt heaps on the launch.
  13. To my knowledge it actually cost 18 million.
  14. Yeah I did understand that you were talking about style not theme but I personally think a Maverick style coaster would be better at MW, though I do like the idea of it winding through the Bushland at DW, low to the ground. I think it will take something like this to get the park back off the ground.
  15. IMO something like maverick would be more suited to MW In the Western Area. Maybe DW could get a Decent Eurofighter placed somewhere in gold Rush country.
  16. This thread isn't about what Dreamworld are getting this year. We all know that Dreamworld are gettting laser Tag so for goodness sake you stop telling us about it unless you have some new information. This thread is about what ride do you think should go in Ocean Parade hence the title "Which ride should DW get next in Ocean Parade?" Rant over.
  17. B&M proabably for rollercoasters though Intamin does have some great rides and it is a toss up between Whitewater West and Proslide for Water slides both have a great selection.
  18. Gee, 10 to 20 bucks seems like a bit of a rip off to me especailly considering the small cost of the attraction if it is what estimates are showing. It really depends on how long you get though, does anyone know?
  19. Naughty, Naughty, Naughty Anyway the preshow was barely visible in that video I could barely se a thing until the cars. I am suprised though it has taken some this long to actually get a video of the whole ride, preshow included.
  20. Yeah, I agree with the Custom Dark Mammoth on the otherside of the mountain maybe they could do that and put something else on the other side.
  21. Well IMO I think the Terror Canyon's should get replaced with something really eye catching if they are going to get rid of them. The land on which the rides currently sit is in a prime position. You see it almost straight away after entering the park and it is clearly visible from the road. So If they put in some thing really fancy and new, like the ride Gazza found the other day then it is bound to attract more people and there attention. Just like Giant Drop catches your attedntion when you drive past Dreamworld. Thoughts,
  22. O.K thanks for that, I understand now my statement only applies to QLD residents who are allowed to buy the pass. Cheers,
  23. Yeah, I know exactly what you mean but say the holiday maker is here 3 days and they want to go to the parks. Yes they could buy a Fun pass (3 parks over 5 days) which would suit their needs however, for a considerable amount less they could go to them all for a longer period of time. If they only use it the 3 days they are here then yes they have wasted most of the pass but they have saved themselves money. Same applies for the Super Pass. I hope that makes sense. Cheers,
  24. From the website. Kids are only $49.95, Incredible. IMO it screws around with the other pass deals and their prices. Like the Super Pass which is 14 days unlimited is more expensive than 5 moths of unlimited. And the Summer Saver pass is 79 bucks for 2 days at 2 parks when for $10 less you can get 5 months of unlimited entry to all of them. This pattern applies to pretty much all of the combo ticketing deals though I don't suppose it matters as it is we the consumers that are befitting. Cheers,
  25. Wow that does look great Whitewater West Certainly have some great attractions! Re The one on the left does it just go straight down after the turnaround without the bumps because I think that would be awesome. They both look steeper than out current ones. I hope that the new Sunshine Coast Water park at Aussieworld gets one of these.
