  1. Movie World is owned by Village Roadshow not Warner Bros., even they have to have these copyright disclaimers on there website and I believe park maps to give credit to the copyright holders - WARNER BROS. MOVIE WORLD and logo, LETHAL WEAPON and LOONEY TUNES and all related characters and elements are trademarks of and © Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. KIDS' WB! and all related characters and elements are trademarks of and © Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. SCOOBY-DOO and all related characters and elements are trademarks of and © Hanna-Barbera. SUPERMAN, BATMAN, JUSTICE LEAGUE and all related characters and elements are trademarks of and © DC Comics.
  2. I know that in Australia Warner Bros., Paramount and Universal are all distributed by Village Roadshow (in terms of DVD and Bluray sales). Is this why Universal Studios were able to secure rights to Transformers for the ride (a Paramount Movie) and Harry Potter (a Warner Bros. movie)?
  3. Well if it makes you happy jjuttp was wrong as well, the ride is called - Vikings Revenge FLUME Ride
  4. You have to remember that the ride is being themed to the game not any of the movies so those are the major characters featured. Joker and Harley Quinn are the two main Villians in both the "Batman: Arkham Games", Bane also has a large role in both, and Croc is featured in the first game but only makes a cameo in the second. They also stated "It’s time to get to know who you just may came across in the Asylum.", so they might not have listed all the charaters here just a few to get people interested.
  5. I recently heard on a news story on channel 7, about the upcoming Dreamworks Experience, that Dreamworld only has a contract with Dreamworks for the next 5years. It seems like a big investment for something that could potentially last only 5 years? Although I know that it's probable they will renew the license.
  6. Possible ride themes from non DC Warner Bros property - * Nightmare on Elm Street * Harry Potter * Final Destination * Terminator * Star Wars (Clone Wars) * Charlie and The Chocolate Factory * Polar Express * The Matrix * Pokemon Movies * Iron Giant But in saying that they don't really have to be based on a "Movie" in particular, but just a genre. Like the "Wild West Falls Adventure Ride", it isn't based on any specific movie, but the genre of Western movies in general.
  7. I suppose so, can't wait to see it either way! Has anyone seen anymore changes to the themeing yet, like what they're doing to the Lethal Weapon "Tower" and such?
  8. Yes, but why then would the ride be called "Arkham Asylum - Shock Therapy". Arkham City has nothing to do with the Asylum itself (In terms of location). The tagline "the inmates are running the Asylum" wouldn't make sense if it were arkham city. Besides Movie World has already stated that the ride is to be based on the events in the game - Batman: Arkham Asylum - when Joker took control of the Asylum, which took place one year before before the events Arkham City, and about 6 months before it even existed.
  9. In regards to the "Arkam Warehouse" as well, if you have played the game on which the ride is to be based, Arkham Asylum is an Island facility made of a number of Buildings - The Mansion, The Penitentiary, The Medical Facility, The Botanical gardens and a number of smaller buildings/sheds - so the warehouse sign definitely fits the theme.
  10. Maybe, but I'm not sure. I don't remember anything official from Movie World saying Boxing Day, They did however say "Opening this Summer" or "Face the power this Summer", I think we all just assumed that ment Boxing day which is traditionally the day new attractions open.
  11. I beleive the official opening of the Green Lantern was December 23rd, it didn't just open whenever - (they had a soft openening on the 16th). Arkham Asylum will be much the same I think. I'd say official opening in April 1st (Perfect for a ride with a strong focus on the Joker character opening on April Fools day) with a soft opening a few days prior.
  12. If you have a look at the Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster construction photos you can see the old Gremlins entrance being covered with the castle facade for Scooby.
  13. Wow, glad the Lonney Tune Costumes have evolved since then, they looked pretty tacky :/
  14. has anyone else seen this yet? >> its the Superman Escape in minature.
  15. A new page is up on Dreamworld's website, with a few details about "Po's Garden" >> http://www.dreamworld.com.au/Attractions/Pos-Kung-Fu-Garden/Pos-Kung-Fu-Garden.aspx
  16. Last I saw China Town looked much the same as in previous pics, I hope the wet weather is slwoing things down to much in there. One thing I want to see is the "lethal Weapon" Chinese arch replaced with the iconic arch gateway into arkham asylum.
  17. You really want to get your point across hey you've posted this comment on a number of Movie World's Facebook pics already.
  18. A boulder is a type of drink bottle that usually refers to the metallic flask style bottles.
  19. Shouldn't this be the best coaster 2011, as 2012 is far from over. like all award ceremonies they are held at the begininng of the year to vote the best of the previous year.
  20. Movie World commented about the "Looney Tunes River Ride" on their Facebook page in repsonse to someone asking about it, they stated - "Dont worry it will be replaced one day with something even better - if thats possible" and "No offical word yet on what will replace it"
  21. It is possible, it wouldn't take long to stick up a few "Cutouts" of the characters, just like when it was nickelodeon. The isn't much that needs to change so it would probably be done much closer the opening date.
  22. Does anyone now whether the "Pipline Plunge" at Whitewater World will be getting a Dreamworks theme makeover.
  23. Speaking of effects - now that the QLD drought is well and truly over I think it would be great to see the water effects (and the shark) back on The Wipeout at Dreamworld.
  24. Haha noticed that straight away, and the description for the "Whats up Rock?" Show is the description for the Scooby Doo Coaster. Obviously its just been put up and still needs quite a few "kinks" ironed out.
