  1. I wasn't expecting a home movie.
  2. 100% on the money. Plus any wanter stored in tanks has to be treated and balancing out the chemicals for that can be a nightmare also. The filters need cleaning (these are the size of cars)and that process can take a while. Pools and slides get cleaned up also. As stated before its also then the retraining of staff that becomes a big issue also. With governing regulations stipulating minimum training hours etc.
  3. That has been on the cards for a while as I mentioned above. Breakdance should be next unless they have an issue with another ride.
  4. At least HMS Endeavour did not have a roof over it. Nothing like a protein spill and the smell of industrial cleaning products on a hot summers day!.
  5. Well, they can clean it up pretty well after people throw up in it. Hence why it's known as the "Chunder Machine". I am sure it is easy to clean, plus I've seen it cleaned also. Just do a similar thing to what Disney is currently doing. Plus if you have ever been to the park after someone chunders everywhere they usually send it on a cycle anyway.
  6. The rotor will never go. They would just rebuild another one. It Is indeed a unique ride. As mentioned for the other two rides the days have been numbered for a long time. I know everyone goes coaster crazy but I don't see it happening. Not unless something is occurring with the wild mouse. That being said the wild mouse can be moved. Its just a giant Meccano set. Id likes to see a kids area made up honestly. The Maloneys corner part has a bad vibe. The issue is being so confined they are virtually landlocked. Interesting times ahead indeed. Breakdance should be next on the removal list. It had its major overhaul over 12 months ago and from memory instead of doing half of the bearings, motor servicing they did the lot. Indicating that they might want to get the most they can out of it before its time is up also. Its had no major modifications to its trailers also (unlike Tumble Bug & Ranger).
  7. The haunted house was not present in late February. Makes me wonder how much longer the Breakdance has now.
  8. Rangers days have been numbers for many years. It cant operate efficiently with a full gondola. Since the reopening of the park in 2004, it had several issues both electrical and mechanical. Sourcing parts has become harder over the years also. It is a real shame as its the only way you can view the harbour bridge upside down. I am sure it'll live on (in some ways ) but its time as it currently looks it is definitely done. Troika "Tumble Bug" has had a good run. its a great ride but it also has some dramas during its time. Mainly hydraulic and it's been evident during the last few years that major welding repair jobs have been conducted on the arm (near the rams). This ride has also suffered from a "shudder" during the lifting sequence since its reinstallation back in 2004. I am assuming this has also caused the mentioned repair jobs above.
  9. Estimation of WnW training and recertification is around 8 days.
  10. Please don't start this. I don't want to be called stupid again by someone on here... But you are right. Not too much open. But that does not matter. It's Hollywood on the GC!. So a little movie magic and no one will know the difference.
  11. It's the colder months of the year. It's fine. No one goes to WnW anyway. It's not MW so it's fine. Those are the excuses we will hear. The big issue here is all the casual staff left. That's the issue. Re-training takes a long time, unfortunately. It's not as basic as many think. But let us look at the positives. At least MW will be open!.
  12. SARS virus, the 2002 bushfires the collapse of HIH
  13. No point arguing with him. He always wins anyway. Now come over here and have a beer with the men.
  14. People had to know this would occur. Sure it takes a lot of money and time to set up and organise but it is just too risky to run such an event. The cleaning measures would be a lot. Plus the social distancing rules would not virtually no mazes at all. Smart move for the health and safety of the workers/performers and the guest.
  15. I know this ain't QLD based but still. Good to see a park explain this process via a video. Will be interesting to see how some things are implemented. Obviously most of the access gates (LPS has no gate fee normally) will be closed to ensure social distancing.
  16. I managed to do it months ago and I ain't a local. I had issues setting up my virtual queue but I got that sorted at Guest Relations at the beginning of the year.
  17. The app had been able to do many of those features for a while. The newest one is that you can see when a pass is about to expire and you can scan the pass from the phone now. Meaning no more pass holder cards.
  18. Call me late to the party. But I have used the current app for virtual queuing several times this year. Only at MW cause, it was the only park to actually use it. Virtual queue through the app works well. Its a case of booking the ride make sure you ride then make another booking. If you decide to change rides it asked for confirmation on deleting the first reservation. for families, it can all be linked to the one account also.
  19. You don't say!. I love how you really want to make me look stupid. Of course they are a public traded company. Google search can prove that to anyone. I don't think they purely wanted to open to "boost the local industry". Some of us know they wanted to reopen because it makes the sales transaction much easier. Sure pay the staff and that. But a park running at 50% and especially VRTP how they love to cut staffs hours all the time still wont make money atm. But a sale will make money. Got to look good, just like they did for Lionsgate and WnW China.
  20. Profits before guest experience. Our parks are our banks
  21. I don't forget. That's the exact reason VRTP want all properties open. Makes the sale even better.
  22. I totally understand the whole aspect of ensuring the workers have a job and money in the bank. But it seems a little odd. I thought they where conducting maintenance during this down time?.
  23. Hopefully not all of those rides are closed. Wouldn't look the greatest for them.
  24. Looking forward to the future plans for Jamberoo. Its a shame council have had slight issues over the years though with the park. Good to know even though a delay has occurred in new attractions that we will still be getting them. Just need a solid one or two flat rides now.
