  1. I wouldn't read too much into the “four coasters” comment. They are including the wild mouse.
  2. Ah right, I should learn to read while making sure small person gets to educational prison. If it's double rafts then no need. If it's not I'm sure people know how to carry heavy rafts up. Tornado helps you build big muscles
  3. You can't expect them to install lifts. Sure like one water slide maybe in Russia has a lift but that's about all I know. When you go to a water Park remember these three important pointers • Be confident in the water • It's leg day • Cardio session! It sucks sure, but unless you want no stairs and massive hills to climb like Jamberoo I know what option I would prefer. Stairs, you get that height meaning you get speed. I am speed.
  4. It's nice to see this investment. New slides on the Australian scene will be a nice little touch. But I thought a former water park they owned that had giant slide towers gave guest the heebie-jeebies. Let's hope this property does not get sold.
  5. Well I mean it's been closed for a while now. No point letting it rot away for longer. It's sitting on prime land that could be utilised so much better than it currently is. Sure for nostalgia purposes, it's sad to see it go. But it's got to. Unless you want a permanent memorial like SW has done with Vikings Revenge.
  6. The picture I've been waiting for. Certainly is compact and this is not a bad thing at all. Looking forward to the ludicrous amounts of head chopper moments.
  7. Does that old oil rig that's on-site feel jealous yet, seeing ST has such a major presence?. Also, it's going to look out of place. It's still being built, Westfields next door looked out of place until it was finished also.
  8. I would have preferred “Within the coming weeks”. Mack his words...
  9. Artist impression is on display near Boomerang View of station area Second view showing metal "skeleton" already made. Footer holes have been dug in Maloneys corner. Footers are constructed while future materials for other footers sit and wait. I think we are aiming for a mid-late November soft opening for sure. Things seem to be progressing rather well when it comes to what limited construction they've been able to do so far for BD 3.0
  10. I would not be surprised if Boomerang commences testing by the end of this week. Hopefully the bad weather Sydney is having does not cause any major delays.
  11. I have knee pain from walking into the HWSD2 arena.
  12. Pardon me if I repeat anything mentioned above. Operations will be busy at the parks due to everyone getting back to normality. So while it's annoying to queue up etc it means they are generating profit even if it's just for a few weeks. One train ops. While unacceptable on busy days sometimes operational factors need to be understood. The second train could be tagged out or possibly muggy be close to service or have end of life components* on it rendering it useless possibly for daily operations. Parts shortages are evident in most industries around the world right now. Without making money at the parks you also need to put back on daily running cost. Don't run a train on and your saving on wear and tear. While frustrating for the guest it is something that supervisors etc do constantly think about. Sometimes however these taught and unpopular decisions need to be made for the benefit of the company.
  13. Sorry that I’m late to the party. The new ride names are alright. I agree with @AlexB. If you keep particles names people would assume that ride might exist in the form people have been used too. Big Dipper we know is a coaster (always has been). So it’s not like they used Big Dipper for Hair Raiser as an example. We gotta remember a rides name it not the end of the world. While some might seem underwhelming we must remember we essentially getting a whole new section of the park. They would number the rides from 1-9 and I don’t think it would be a deal breaker. This new master plan is the help continue the legacy of this fine amusement park. The rides we are getting are well overdue, even I never thought we’d see another coaster at the park. Here we are tho by years end we will have an astonishing four coasters. The construction I’m most looking forward to. I haven’t had the chance yet to pop into the city.
  14. Going down to that cafe would have been a mercy mission to try and secure a location. Tony & co are into motoring and boats. Not prehistoric animatronics that would cost a fortune to repair. It failed due to no outline or actual thought. Buying an asset like that ain’t like buying your groceries. Cleary however thought it would be that easy was kidding themselves. Nothing but egg on the face now.
  15. Wow, that's some amazing footage gouge found here. The famous “what if” question. We still had the big dipper accident just weeks before the fire. The parks rides where starting to show age and getting neglected in some cases. I truly think it would have turned into a shopping centre with a cinema and maybe a few kids ride with the Ferris wheel. Those concepts existed in peoples minds right up until the mid-2000s. It's hard to tell what would have occurred tho. We only know what occurred and what bought the park to its current time and place. The fire, while terrible and very tragic showed one thing, it helped the park survive. The parks downfall was the accident. People showed love for the park tho. That speaks volumes. Wonderland Sydney would have still existed. From my memory (without cheating by using Google) the yanks had been looking for a location since the mid 70’s. one thing I know for a fact. Seven people would have grown old, those haunting photos and videos would haven't have occurred on that faithful night.
