One thing I have noticed is that it is not just a small bunch of people like us who are getting hyped for this park. Loads of people are anticipating this opening, (even without me bringing up the subject!) Even people who tell me to shut up every time I talk about any of the parks are getting behind this. I think the demand for a park was always there, it's just that no one thought that the matter was serious enough to take any action. Shame this didn't happen earlier, but now is better than never.

When they say 2m waves, do they mean height, or wavelength? Obviously they are trying to sell it as height, but they need some sort of evidence to back their claim right?

Haha! Today Tonight viewers will be disappointed that the drop is "Only 30 metres" compared to the 100m they were promised.

Too right. I once had a guy push through the line at the Sea Viper, claiming he was coming for his family, who were currently on the ride. He thought he was entitled to the front row seats that me and my friend had waited one circuit for. Then he went off at the ride operator when he tried to explain that he had to go to the back of the line. Bet you anything he was one of those self-absorbed 'VIP' pass owners. Hopefully the triple digits will stop these people from seeing the value in the season pass. Anything to keep more of these guys out of the parks.

By yourself, you could get a lot done. If you are in a group, it will be more difficult. More people = More opinions = More time wasted.

That's never how it is going to work unfortunately. Put the money into accommodation and tourists. Then worry about the parks. Otherwise we won't get the big coaster. I still think it's a stretch to imagine at this point in time that Ardent are even considering providing us this much needed attraction. As Alex said, they will probably just use their money to install another flat ride or shittle coaster.

In the development plan it shows a new lazy river, with three new slides being built. I'm not sure in which order This is all happening on the left side of the chairlift. Seems to me that they are getting rid of the old body slides. EDIT: The picture was posted here before...

As long as it isn't Eastern River or Darling Bay, I'm happy.

There are already 2 kids driving rides. Why make another one? Is this one going to be any different?

I'm not sure... I don't think putting it right in the middle of Superman Escape is a brilliant idea, it is too close to the Batwing and will ruin the size factor of both rides. All in all, I'm not too psyched and I would rather they didn't build it, wait a couple of years and then build a bigger attraction. Or they could just build a massive B&M Mega Looper!

This is great! For years we have said that a Eurofighter would be perfect for Australian parks, and now we are getting one.

I wouldn't mind this happening (though keeping the new trains) but the Sea Viper will never go back to the Corkscrew. All of the new kids already know it as the Sea Viper, and even though I like the aesthetics of the original corkscrew more, it still seems like taking a step back. It may have been better without the re-theme, though I think the new trains are good, now it has changed, it is better for it to stay that way.

Some guests wouldn't understand, they'd just complain. Even if there's a perfect reason someone can't get their coca cola from McDonald's, someone will still complain about it... And this is why I have never worked in food service.

If that's what happened, then they should have been able to prevent this from studying previous accidents, hopefully this won't happen again. They probably could have finished it by September, but I'm glad they're taking their time with it. Just would've been nice if they'd warned me earlier. Still looking forward to seeing the ride in person in October. I'll just have to make my own way up there next Easter holidays. Perhaps I'll be able to slide something in over summer.

Surely you don't believe that the average person would travel 1000km for a day at a water park and an overnight stay rather than stay home and not miss an episode of Masterchef. Perhaps you would travel to Sydney on a weekend for a theme park, but that doesn't count for the general public. Also, flying could not result in day trips being easy, you would need to drive to and from airport and the park, would the average person be bothered just for a water park? At best it would make a weekend trip more feasible, though I'm sure people would rather stay within their own state for the weekend. I don't think even I would do this more than once (just to see the park for the first time). Definitely not multiple times a year. If Sydney get's a theme park within an Hour's drive or so from the main population, then why is it fair to expect that people from Melbourne should travel 1000km to visit one? They deserve a WnW just as much as any other city in Australia. And Jacob makes a fair point about day length. Would the regular person stay up for 24 hours just to visit a theme park?

One seems to be more of an orange than a red, perhaps the time of day made them look very similar. Still, why put an orange and a red slide right next to eachother?

Disney has an exception for everything. They also have practically unlimited money, so they are running in sandbox mode when it comes to their attractions.

Is there an extended themed section? Or does the ride go straight from the station to the lift hill? We don't want a theming cataclysm like Journey to Atlantis at SW San Diego. I trust they can do a more elaborate and complete job than that disaster.

Perhaps because they posted a full length POV of the Green Lantern, they will do the same with this new ride when It opens. There are some decent videos on their channel, but it would be great to see one of each major ride.

I think LatiTube should invest in a new slogan. "Everyone Gets Tubed" doesn't really sound like a selling point to me.
