  1. I think it will come down to money. If they can use the same building and facade. Why not. (In a businesses point of view)
  2. I think its safe to say that the mine ride will not be the same cars or track. Especially since the TRRR accident. Considering its age and not operating for so long and not been maintained. The tracks would have rust and cracks and it would cost shit tones to insure. Plus the bad PR of opening an old abandoned ride. I think we will see the track replaced and new cars. However DW will keep the name and theme of the existing ride.
  3. Talking about offering free water. During hot days, AW has a greater outside the gates offering all customers with a cup a free cold water while waiting outside the park.
  4. To me this video has a propose and it fills its purpose. To show people how to set up VR and to make loading more efficient. At least they put effort to make the video suit the AA theme. They could have just put in a random person talking about VR that has no relevance to the ride and theme.
  5. This was put out a few weeks ago and was disscused on park quiet a bit. I find the most interesting point being how it says, "Not only will we be looking at brining back old faverioute including the Log Ride, Vintage Cars and Mine Ride LATER THIS YEAR." However if we were to see a replacement for Mine Ride reopen this year you would think construction would have begun or starting immediately.
  6. There actualy the first drops support not the lift hill.
  7. I thought I would post this here. I read this on DW's Facebook page. Looks like they haven't given up yet.
  8. Does the Dreamworld tower have any lighting on the top? (IE a red light for for pilots?)
  9. Those red light points are often used on tall coasters close to airports so the pilots can make sure they stay clear of them.
  10. They put tenders out online a while ago looking for companies and it's mentioned in the staff memo, that was posted on here a few weeks ago.
  11. Please have a look at what's hanging under the Main Street roof at MW. I think they get used more than just for FN. Oh and fairy lights are used for more than Christmas trees. Have a look at cedar point.
  12. I read somewhere that they are in the process of tendering out for the demolition of TRRR.
  13. I think DW's priorities before building any new rides should be to open all their attractions that are closed while giving them love. IE Vintage Cars, RHLR and Wipeout. Then they need to demolish all traces of TRRR, Eureka, blue lagoon and the amphitheatre, level the site and start fresh. (They can keep the eureka building or even the amphitheatre but they need to do something with that area.) But I think focusing on opening the existing attractions at the park should be priority number 1 and making sure the park looks well looked after.
  14. Now we just need Wipeout. Oh and Vintage Cars, RHLR, oh and the mine ride? Anything else I am forgeting?
  15. ^ Plus the labour costs for someone to wrap it around the whole coaster and cables ties to attach it to the track. $5,000 is not to bad considering they are spending 30million plus. I am sure MW would want to make this stand out at night. I am actually surprised DW don't have lighting running up the Dreamworld tower.
  16. I would have thought that WHS and OHS would have made people wear safety harness for the AA lift hill climb?
  17. If by that logic, that means SDSC will be getting a re-theme? Coincidence? Then SE will have another 5 years left before its re-theme.
  18. Big W have cheaper fairy lights. But dumb LED Pixel Strips are actually cheaper than fairy lights. $10/5 metres. (plus controllers)
  19. Keep in mind Disney nearly went broke building Disneyland. He had to get loans out and nearly lost his studios and house to build the park.
  20. Hey it's easy to trip over a garden bed when your playing Pokemon Go.
  21. The Mack Hyper down the road from DW looks to be way more intense and awesome than the B&M hypers.
  22. I would call it joker the ride or the battle between Joker and Batman. It had a giant joker face on top of the lift hill. So I call it joker.
