  1. For an exact figure, that area is about 16,000 sq m. Huge.
  2. The hype has reached its maximum point or at least, until the track actually arrives There's going to be a lot of track to take up that much space... cannot be more excited right now for what's to come.
  3. More like it's showing it's true Vekoma SLC colours.
  4. I'd say close to 0. The park has no reason to retheme batwing, and do you realise how hard it would be to repaint the tower to a new theme? They're not changing the whole area to fit JL, that would be silly. I feel like it would be hard to theme an entire coaster to the JL. A dark ride - sure - but not a coaster. By the logic you're using (saying that they'll theme it to JL because the movie is coming out later in the year), then it will more likely be a WW theme than a JL one, since that movie will have been out for a few months when the coaster is opened.
  5. A gondola from the main tram line to Sea World could actually work really well. Building a gondola system in the right spot could give some great views, and that certainly could be a fantastic spot for achieving that. Although probably a little slower than a tram, it would provide direct and frequent access to the park.
  6. It's probably been said a million times before, but I would love some similar sort of transportation between MW and WnW (and potentially TopGolf when it opens).
  7. Agreed, the removal of the theming was for the better... it wasn't being used, and it allowed them to increase the queue size - which was important due to the ride's awful capacity. Pity they couldn't have designed that part of the queue better, widened it up a bit and given it some better air ventilation.
  8. Can you explain more on this? I don't think Buzzsaw is anywhere near what the Cyclone was looking like in its later days. It's still in reasonable condition IMO, at least they turn the screens off these days. GD is one of the rides in poor condition (but I can see it getting a refurb in the coming years), ToT needs a bit of a clean, same goes with Shockwave.
  9. I don't agree with this "Dreamworld doesn't look after its theming" stuff - perhaps 5 years ago I might have - but not today. Cyclone was a case of rotting theming because Dreamworld didn't look after it yes - but that was the result of lack of maintenance many years back now, and if they didn't want to look after it, HWSW wouldn't be a thing. None of Dreamworld's "new-gen themed rides/areas" (Wipeout/Tail Spin/Tiger Island) have been around long enough for us to know if they've turned around their theming maintenance with this new effort in theming. Are the surfboards back on wipeout, and have they been repainted? If so, then that might be a sign that Dreamworld are trying to turn their past reputation around. Even Claw's repaint a few years back was a sign that Dreamworld are trying to improve things. When Tail Spin or Wipeout become to look like some of DW's older rides, then I will believe that Dreamworld doesn't look after its theming, but I currently believe that's a statement that really only applies 5 or 10 years ago. Wipeout's refurb and HWSW are both perfect examples that Dreamworld are fixing some of their theming, just slowly. Plus you have the little improvements at the park - general repaints, the themed wall next to ToT, etc. Whether they could deal with a Dark Ride, that's something I don't think I could say since DW haven't done something on that level before.
  10. Please can we not post the same things over and over (especially when you last posted it a page ago) or we'll have another 100-page MW Coaster thread.
  11. Ok, you pay for 13 (or 14!) new attractions at the park, and I'll support this. But seriously - I thought this convo ended last week.
  12. Think of the B&Ms you could build with that money... It's very sad for the park, but now they can only go upwards.
  13. I feel like we're going to see the fence lights added sometime soon, who thinks we'll have a good idea on the theme within the next week or two?
  14. Agreed, I'd much prefer a simple hypercoaster that does exactly what hypercoasters are meant to do than pushing the boundaries with spinning trains. They could make the ride potentially nauseating, and I am planning to ride this coaster a lot of times
  15. Alternating rides or reducing hours is a bit different to changing min rider load - on the quietest days of the year it is possible that it could take much longer than the couple of minutes it takes to alternate ride operation to load the ride to min capacity - hence, if it were possible (which I know it isn't) I'd honestly prefer they alternate wipeout and claw or tailspin than pull up the min capacity for them. Slow but controlled queue times is better than slow and unpredictable queue times. I've had my fair share of waiting for ZE minimums, and it can be slow even in peak season. While I agree with your other points, there's a pretty logical reason why they close this during winter...
  16. But this is not RCT Savings = longer queues in off-peak = unhappy people
  17. That would certainly be a pain for those of us who love going in off-peak.
  18. I think Aquaman would probably be my top pick for a theme, although a very unlikely one. More original than Flash or WW, and heaps of fantastic theming opportunities (and who couldn't say no to a fantastic blue colour scheme?)
  19. Sounds ok, I wouldn't agree with Affinity so high and certainly not Mammoth Falls before Arkham and ToT, but that's just my personal opinion. I don't really see how you can mix shows, coasters and flats in a list like this, but they seem to have done it ok.
  20. Uncle Gazza will never truly be happy. In other news, my Planet Coaster doesn't start... shows a couple of steam startup messages... then nothing.
  21. If the Mack Big Dippers count as floorless, then yes they have. Still don't know why people are discussing the theme when it's been discussed to death already. Points to anyone who can discuss the theme and still bring original stuff to the table. P.S. back on 100
  22. Unless the track is set to arrive later in the week and the park decided to close the rides a little earlier to get some tree-trimming done while they're at it.
  23. What do they actually want to achieve with this? It's not doing nothin to convince me, if that's what they're trying. Just convincing me that they're all lunatics who have their heads screwed on backwards.
