  1. POP, you do realise an alt is not helping you at all and you're probably better off just giving up? Pretty obvious that it's you now.
  2. This is what I was thinking I agree, if this is the turnout with most of the major rides closed, I think DW will be a lot better off than we thought once the thrill rides are back and running.
  3. Yum! Although I'd prefer to have lunch before dessert.
  4. Not too long to go now, best of luck to Dreamworld, great to almost have you back ? Look forward to seeing photos (or live streams if you really want to win me over ?)
  5. No, but waterslides have many similarities to flumes. Supertubes could almost be considered a flume too
  6. I'm thinking of heading down tomorrow, even for a few hours. I'm also surprised they haven't opened any thrill rides, if I do go I might pay WWW a visit if it's not busy. Definitely want to show my support somehow though even if I don't end up going.
  7. I agree with push here, if they didn't have any plans before now it would be very hard to whip something up in time for the games.
  8. If DW really are closing the flume, I'd love to see them revamp the whole gold rush area with a completely new water ride that uses the land from both rocky hollow and TRRR with top notch theming (and perhaps a bigger drop). It's probably too much to hope for, but I'd really like to see something with the same quality as Universal's Jurassic Park water ride (the boat one at Hollywood/IoA, not the rapids). Dreamworld really are a fantastic park for families so I'm hoping this is just a temporarily omission as the removal of two of its largest family attractions is devastating.
  9. Even if this is true (which it's not as previously pointed out) you've always got wipeout - not a lot of water but it's a nice cool-down ride if you know where the hot seats are (well, more like the cold seats).
  10. @SunshineTom Maybe tone down on the new threads? You've only just arrived and have posted several new threads. Maybe just take things slow for now? on topic - for me the only park who have seen better days (not neccessarily a major decline though) is SeaWorld however I am sure VRTPs have plans to turn this around. DW had the TRRR incident but they are probably the park with the steepest incline currently as they seem to be really trying to make the park better than ever since the accident.
  11. Parkz world - fill it with well-themed B&Ms, fountains, and dark rides (for push).
  12. RMC are great at fitting the land they have to play with. Goliath being probably the most notable since it's so compact. I think the gold rush/blue lagoon area would fit an RMC pretty well.
  13. How I hope the next few years will go: 2017- www expansion (semiconfirmed already), possible retheme of gold rush (including buzz saw) 2018- possible retheme of gold rush if not already done, new coaster either in the trrr/eureka or blue lagoon area to the new theme - notable coasters include mack Big Dipper, eurofighter, or woodie. 2019- off year after coaster, possible flat (star flyer?) or area revamp 2020- dark ride
  14. Dreamworld are doing so much, reducing the price, extending season passes, and I really hope the public return the support and generosity the park is giving to us. I'll definitely be down as soon as possible to give my support, I'm up at Noosa next week so maybe not on opening weekend but most likely the week after
  15. Obviously my exaggeration has turned this into a which-movies-were-good thread. Of course there were plenty of great trilogies, although there are plenty of others where one movie was made and they easily could've kept it at that (or in the case of the Hobbit, had all three movies as a single one) Not a trilogy
  16. B&M Hyper seats are a fair way above the floor too, I think it adds an element of insecurity and freedom.
