While some people could see it as impressive, I wouldn't post new threads too much @Gold Coast Amusement Force because it can be seen as quite annoying by many, especially for a noob. Take things slow and it'll be easier for all of us

If I could, I'd vote twice or even three times. What I've voted in the poll is Movie World - not because they desperately need a new area as they've just gotten one, but they need an area with a new theme as I'm sure everyone agrees the DC comics theme is starting to take over the park. Theming a new area to some major movie franchise and adding a new coaster (I am speaking several years into the future here though) or flat ride would be great. There's always the possibility that Dreamworld remove Gold Rush due to the recent incident and in that case they'd be in need of a new area. Great opportunity for a great new family ride (fingers crossed for a dark ride here) or the rollercoaster they're in need of as the area doesn't necessarily have to even stick to the Gold Rush plot of land and could always extend back into Blue Lagoon. Sea World, as has been discussed could also do well with a nice area. Something along the lines of Joz's idea would be ideal for the park. The water parks don't really need anything because they're not really split into themed areas in the first place. If you're speaking new slide complexes, well there is the rumoured slide tower for WWW next year. I've also attached a pole.

2017 for Gold Coast Theme Parks
Santa07 replied to Gold Coast Amusement Force's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I think every park needs a new rollercoaster at this time - MW is in time for one and is consequently getting one (a very good one too), DW has been in need of a large rollercoaster for a while, and Sea World has recently come in need of a ride to replace Sea Viper's level of thrill. Movie World definitely has the brightest future 2017-wise, but I think over the next two or three years both Sea World and Dreamworld have bright futures too (provided DW recovers well from its current situation of course) as I'm sure they'll both put in some great attractions to rival MW (in DW's case) or return the park to its former glory (in SW's case). As for refurbishments, I think the obvious one is Viking's, followed by Log Ride. MDMC as Brad said got (has it actually been implemented yet?) VR and won't be touched for a few years now. Scooby Doo is still in a great state, sure not as top-quality as some of the newer rides at MW but it's certainly not the worst ride on the GC. -
Doomsday Destroyer - 2016 Movie World construction

That's just cruel... -
Mods will stumble across it eventually, it'll be deleted or merged soon I'm sure

Message @Richard, I think usually it's a Parkz-crew only benefit, but hopefully he's willing to save us from the pain.

Because that wouldn't be out of place at all?

Already been mentioned by TPG Today must be a bad day for grammar, this is the second time in 10 minutes someone's spelling or grammar makes me cry.

Sea World needs another rollercoaster. Even just one, but they need some sort of high-thrill ride to replace Sea Viper's role in the park. An expansion and new area to accomodate a new ride would be awesome.

Now that you mention it Bermuda is probably a better word, not Storm, ie closing a ride during maintenance without notice. A few years ago Sea World was completely land-locked, now after the reclaiming of land, Sea Viper's closure, the waterpark closure, and potentially this, it's been completely reversed. Sad times.

Let's hope they're not pulling a Storm on us again. Not saying I think it's going to close but in the small chance that they do close it I hope they announce it's closure this time.

I did the math using your numbers, and a stretch of land and height of that size would equate to a lift hill with ascent of about 30˚, which is a pretty realistic angle. -

I'm not sure how they wouldn't be confidential but I'm sure we'd all like to see them... Thankyou for sharing -

I think you might mean the absolute value of your negative rep Unless you're all for an underground coaster It's a Mack, good restraints are pretty much confirmed -
I think that this article can be extended to the GC theme park industry in general, I'm sure attendance will drop all-round. Even one of my friends says he doesn't want to go to theme parks any more due to DW's incident (although surprisingly all my other friends understand the safety measures that the park does put in play). (of course, I don't expect the second part of the article to apply all-round, just the bit on the attendance being affected)

Arkham Asylum - VR coaster at Movie World

Yeah it's a really nice touch that makes it seem like an actual person instead of a hanging dummy -
HWSW could benefit with an extra staff member, but with one-train operation two is probably adequate. However, it is important to note many of the ride at DW, and on the GC for that matter could do with a few more staff members during some times of the year - eg ToT could do with 3 or 4 staff members to reach full efficiency instead of the usual 2, and Superman Escape, while I'm pretty sure they're trying to increase the regularity of two-train operation, could do well to run it even more often.
