  1. I definitely think the SW Monorail is just a mode of transport. It doesn't offer any form of unique experience. People really only use it to get from one point to another. The park themselves don't even list it as an attraction, its under its own heading in Park Info. If the transport incorporates a show or new scenes or views that aren't seen on foot, then yes I would class that as an attraction (Eg. Disney's train, DW's paddlesteamer, etc). An attraction is something go to a theme park to experience, I doubt there are many people that go to SW to purely just ride the monorail, or go out of their way to ride it.
  2. Can confirm it has closed. A friend of mine had booked to do it in a couple of weeks time, but received an email letting them no it had closed and they will be provided with a refund.
  3. Well in that case, technically even rollercoasters are a form of transport. Especially SE because you set off at one location and arrive at another
  4. So it turns out it is leaving and for now will just be an events venue
  5. Topic is already made https://www.parkz.com.au/forums/topic/7989-warner-bros-world-abu-dhabi/?tab=comments#comment-157493
  6. @Skeeta well obviously you are trying to find a way to push his buttons
  7. Does does that mean the ride won’t just be screens? It will be like the original version but even more awesome
  8. Two slides have suddenly gone under maintenance at WWW I wonder if they will clean the little rippers...
  9. "Dreamworld's owner has promised the theme park will become among the safest in the world once safety measures, design improvements and new rides are operational." https://www.couriermail.com.au/news/opinion/dreamworld-chief-quits-as-ardent-promises-leadership-shakeup-after-thunder-river-rapids-tragedy/news-story/aa1cdc89c7550fe39ca6e5ca638ac074
  10. Visited the park today and went on the ride for the first time in a while. People have mentioned this before, but too confirm there is a large white wall in place at the first bend as you leave the station, up until the bunny hops. There was no smoke in the disco room, and one laser placed on the ground.
  11. Wow that is horrible. I haven’t been to the park in the while, but it definitely needs some love. Even the outside of the little rippers is horrible. And I can’t imagine it would take much effort to clean them Just watched the rest of their videos of the slides at WWW, and it seems pretty much all of them need a clean, especially the Temple of Huey because it makes the water seem really dirty.
  12. Nope, it’s a police car at the moment And there have been a couple more additions overnight
  13. Just read that at some stage during the rides operation, during testing four rafts collided, one filling completely over
  14. Here is a look at all of the theming and decorations throughout the park, definitely Joker focused this year
  15. Definitely not overthinking it... the ride will remain based around the original film, and the name is basically SDSC 2.0, but just a better name than that. I made a post about the rides refurb coming up, and one of the common comments was people hoped it wasn't going to based around the new cartoon, and still stick to the original film. And I am very glad it is doing so. The queues entrance and the cars themselves are based off the film, so it makes sense to continue with this.
  16. When the ride originally opened, this turntable did operate, but at some point was obviously turned off and the queue was modified
  17. @dbo121 Every-time you would enter the rafts you would walk on the turntable, but it is easiest to see on a satellite image
  18. To provide some context to anyone unsure about what @RabbiJody is referring to about these railings. I posted this photo in May 2016 when these railings were installed during the rides maintenance period.
  19. It’s been seasonal and just run during night events since the park reopened, and it’s been on the parks website the entire time. Even when they were using the entrance for Cub Kindy, it was still on the parks website
  20. Was just checking through the DW website, and have noticed that Kevil Hill has been removed from all aspects of the site (except the park map). It was included under the Activities category, but is there no more
  21. MW have taken the idea of renaming the park to DC World somewhat literally...
  22. They have also updated this website with the new look too: https://themeparks.com.au/ The new website includes Topgolf, and they have categorised, tickets, attractions, accomodation, events and functions. Really like how they used this look for the main VRTP website, reads and works really well
  23. I think the reserved seating definitely shouldn’t have something they offer, because really everywhere in that stadium has a good view.
