  1. I am surprised they've already released some info about FN already, usually we don't really hear anything until late August.
  2. I noticed that. It's highlighted for available purchase dates, but you can't actually click it. Has FN always been on Halloween as well, no matter the day? Or in the past only if its been on the weekend?
  3. The website is live: https://frightnights.com.au We obviously know lasts years new mazes are returning. The Gotham Hall precinct is returning, with 3 new precincts. The dates for this year are: October 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29. The Horror Film Festival is returning. The rides that will be open are: SE, AA, SDSC, Batwing and DD (So I'm assuming the new are will be open before or on October 1st).
  4. I agree with you @Slick. When I've been on TPR, it feels really outdated, and considering how big the company is, compared Parkz is so much better and nicer. And I think yours is a really nice site to. I much prefer DWs newer look compared to the previous version, and I do like MWs, etc, but a couple of elements could be done better, such as the park maps.
  5. I only ever make the boosts for a couple of days, and only for posts that I feel like are important, and always target every age.
  6. While I sat for about 10 minutes for them to test DD, I realised how many people thought WWF was still open, and thought there was another access to it. I thought people were exaggerating the amount of people thought they could get to it, but I was wrong. Having the sign where it is is fine. But it needs to say that WWF is closed, cos people were thinking it was for DD.
  7. Some good point from iwerks, and agree with not posting too much a day. I don't like when some pages post tonnes every day. Today was the most posts made on my page in a while, mainly because I hadn't posted an update on doomsday in a week. And even $5 is fine to promote a post is a good amount, and can push a posts reach up a few hundred people.
  8. I went in this afternoon, and finally saw it being tested. Looks like a really good ride, and did see the floor drop: This big white box is pretty ugly though, hopefully they cover it once testing is complete.
  9. I agree with you @Theme Park Girl. And you've got to remember @Theme Park Ninja it does take time. I've been running my page for almost six years now, and its only in the past couple of years I've seen a real increase, especially this year. I'm just passing 4,500 likes, and that may not be overly many when compared to TPSN who are about to hit 9,000 likes and has been doing it a couple years less than me. But I've found my own style for the page, know what people do and don't want to see, and I've learnt how to present my posts. I don't post things that are unnecessary that don't directly link to our parks. I know the focus of the page, who I'm targeting and I stick with it. And I think that's why I'm still going and my page is starting to get more popular. It's fine if people don't agree with what I've just said, but that's my opinion and what I've learnt in the past six years. And it's a shame that some of the smaller pages out there, who do brilliant coverage and have taken some great photos, aren't getting as many likes, but if they keep at it, they will eventually get there. If you want to keep a page going, why don't you rebrand your current page to Theme Parks Australia, delete all unwanted posts or references to Theme Parks World, or The Ninja. Then you've still got those likes, and find a style for your page, what do you want to show, and stick with it. Hope this helps you.
  10. ^This has been discussed before. And it would only really work if there was a ride on that land, and for a while it was believed the coaster could be going there. But as they've now building a big shed there, its unlikely. I'd say the reason is because that is where the entry to the queue line is. But they may put it on the other side to, with something between them so it doesn't look strange.
  11. Having something in the queue where you could pay for it is a pretty good idea. But I do hope they don't charge $10 for it. I just don't see that worth paying for. $5 for one time would be good, and I'd pay that to try it. And if they had the option for multiple use at a higher price that would be a good option to.
  12. How? I went on it on Sunday, and I didn't think it was anything more special than usual. Except the door opened as you left the station, and the disco room had a few extra colours in the laser.
  13. I'm thinking if its over $5 it will be a no from me. Hopefully it's only a couple of dollars.
  14. "Construction of the Topgolf attraction is anticipated to begin within the next few months and will span across 15 acres. Construction of the building and driving range is planned to be next to a new nine-storey hotel and lakeside precinct." https://brisbanedevelopment.com/35-million-topgolf-attraction-coming-movie-world/
  15. I did read that in a news article (I think it was with the announcement of TopGolf), but I don't think an official statement or article has been released about the hotel.
  16. But if this is a 'world's best' attraction, and is a coaster, then I'd imagine it to be quite big, and that would take quite a long time wouldn't it? And depending on where it's built, major ground works may be required, so they'd have to start earlier if they were aiming for a Summer 2017 opening, as an example. So wouldn't they have to start towards to the end of this year, so they would announce it just before construction began?
  17. ^I feel like if this was the big announcement, they would've made a lot bigger deal about it. Not just a small article in the paper. I'd say the big announcement will be coming very very soon.
  18. I think AA is the best choice of ride to introduce this system, and will be interesting to see how the visuals come out, because I've seen some of the videos of it used in other parks and some of it hasn't looked that great. And hopefully it won't reduce the loading time. Does anyone know how you get them in other parks, as in, do you pick one out of a box, or are they attached the rides train, do you collect it while waiting to load the ride, or after the gates open?
  19. This sounds really cool, especially being able to walk to the top of AA. Would be really interesting to go behind the scenes of the rides too. And the price I think is pretty reasonable $299, or $350 for park entry to. And it's only available every Saturday, which is understandable. And it's a little cheaper than DWs VIP experience tickets.
  20. Yes there are signs at the turnstiles saying what aractions are closed. But it seems so stupid not to have opened the Chinatown alley for access to AA. I'm imagining that the queue will be even shorter now, and if people don't see the signs to say how to get to it, people would probably assume that it was closed to, making them even more annoyed. I am surprised they've fenced off that whole path, but I suppose for when they are painting the track, it would be unsafe for people to be passing under the track.
