I agree with you @Slick. I think little touches the story and theming would be great, as you said with lighting inside the huts and updating the projections. I think some smoke blasts/effects would also be good through the town as the shooting happens. And I don't think they'll add all the effects that were at the top of the lift hill before the fire, but something extra needs to happen. An idea could be to get rid of the mirror and add a tv/projection showing some txt being lit and about to explode, and thats why you have to escape the mountain.

Hopefully they will be repainting the whole mountain, because to my knowledge I don't think it's ever been done, if it has probably only once. Regarding effects I'd like them to add a couple at the beginning before the first lift hill. They used to have that small crane moving back and forth, so I think they should replace the space, rather than having just a pile of dirt. And hopefully repaints and fix ups of effects through the back area of the ride, as well as adding some new, or replacing current effects.

Maybe, the winner of last years Reel Horror Film competition will have their film either turned into a maze or precinct.

Ok, just to keep a bit of an update happening for those who don't want to read through everything. ~CONFIRMED~ Maze Locations Dodgems Mazes Friday the 13th Wyrmwood ~MOST LIKELY~ Scare Zones Fountain Plaza (Under main screen)

That is one good thing about smaller spaces for the mazes, it removes any unneeded 'dead spaces' and blank walls.

They may just skip a scene with Friday the 13th, but I'd say it'll be either that or Wormwood going in there. In my opinion, they'd put the new mazes in larger spaces. Not just area size for the maze itself, but area for queueing, as we know how long queues can be for the new mazes.

I'd say that the Friday the 13th Maze will be going there, because correct me if I'm wrong, but the other maze last year didn't have onc, while the first scene of FT13 had a number of large Forrest scenes.

Thanks for the update TPG. I'm really liking the way the facades are beginning to look and starting to hide parts of the big prints on the wall; rather than making them a standout feature.

Who's confirmed behind WWF is a maze? That camp out idea would be good, but would they allow people to stay in the park all night, and have scare actors being paid for and doing nothing most of the time, except every now and then.

No idea, depends on where else they will put mazes, and the size of those spaces. One issue I'm seeing with the mazes not being in the Sound Stages is that the park will feel much more crowded without the large area where people queue, and the waking out to them. I still haven't seen any fully reliable confirmation that the sounds stages won't be used. Yes Thor is being filmed, but there are 9 stages, surely they won't use all of them, or they can't use some of the other ones, rather than 1 and 2. Otherwise I can't see where else they can realistically put the mazes.

There isn't. It's just an update on the building being constructed behind WWF, which some are speculating that will be used for a maze. But according the council submissions it's for catering.

^I was just basing if off that they said they'd said on the show they'd just extended their contract for an extra year. But if the show was filmed end of last year then maybe we will see something new coming for easter holidays next year.

I'd say filming for it was at the beginning of this year, so id say the contract was extended until maybe February 2017.

I doubt they'll try and hide the ride from view, particularly with the heights it will reach. But i do hope they cover up the back of the facade/framing they are installing.

I think you missed what Brad was saying @FoolishMortal999. The reused mazes from last year were licensed, and the 'new' mazes were also licensed. So you should've said, you think the NEW mazes will be in Dodgems and Show Stage.

^Yeah that's correct about the short film. And it's been said on here somewhere that the Showstage is staying and will be used for events, but the signage that's at the top of the show stage will be removed and replacing with the name of the area/ride.

Took this this morning. More progress to the stadium area. You can see large steel framework and the begging of a ramp and the back of it. There is also a massive crane on site lifting steel into place. To the left of the area there was a lot of timber panelling, and I mean a lot. Looks like it might be cladding for the stadium, because it didn't appear to be timber to build a frame, due to its colouring and length.

Yeah this had been discussed before, but isn't possible for the exact reasons stated by Brad. I know someone mentioned that sound stages won't be used this year cos of filming, but I'm sure that was said last year cos of Pirates of the Carribiean, but they did end up getting used. Is there any evidence that the sound stages aren't being used. If they aren't used, I can't imagine where they'd put the new mazes. Scooby-Doo queue area is to small. Dodgems and Sound stage are for last years mazes, and the new building behind WWF doesn't seem big enough for too large mazes.

The park has really become just one big maze. If the Skylink was still there it would have made things so much easier.

I just think it would need to drop down for the same reason the claw has a drop down floor. So taller riders who's feet do or almost touch the ground won't be injured when swinging through the station.
