  1. A rollercoaster for the Wild West area has been discussed before and it was said that it couldn't be done (depending on where it was) due to the noise restrictions at that end of the park. It does look like a good ride that could fit well in the area if the theming was done right. I was thinking more of a ride like the 7 Dwarves mine ride that is just about to open. The old styled mine carts would fit well into the theming of this area of the park.
  2. Or they could have something like what they have at Cars Land. Obviously on much smaller and cheaper scale, but have cars drive through a looney tunes themed area. Then at the end they get a bit of speed on them and they go down the length of the building. For this to happen the cars would have to be much smaller and so would the track (That's just obvious though).
  3. You say that they spend heaps of money on maintenance for skyway, but I am sure they spend more on Sea Viper.
  4. You aren't imagining that, but I do believe it used to be in the Main Street Parade. I could also be wrong, but thats what I thought. I think they got rid of it once they put the roof over main street.
  5. That would be a pretty cool idea. I'm sure it will do very well in Australia as it has got great reviews and is doing well in the box office in other countries. I don't have much reasoning, but I don't think Movie World would add this attraction.
  6. Work has begun on upgrading the overpass at this exit on the motorway. I have some friends who's parents are in the business. I don't know how long it will take or what it will look like but it is happening now. Also I went pass the site for the shopping centre and they are already putting concrete barriers on the edge of the site.
  7. That pic does show where I meant, cos I thought the water was a waste, but I didn't realise that was how they moved the boats off the ride if they are broken, etc.
  8. Oh I didn't realise that was what it was for. In that case they could have the effect close to the edge of the water maybe.
  9. For Movie World to add effects to WWF to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad's level isn't going to happen. And even if they did, they wouldn't always happen. I think they could add lighting effect to make it seem like TNT was about to go off, without using fire. Even if MW added a few crates of TNT at the top of the lift hill, that could make it even better. Something else I would like to see would be if they added something extra at the start of the ride. Even if it was just a splash effect or something simple like that.
  10. I'm just going to assume from that comment that there were health and safety issues and they are fixing the issue.
  11. When I went to movie world a couple it years ago we were asked if we wanted to go around again when on Wild West falls.
  12. Reports have just come in and they apparently were only stuck there for 30 minutes, but the boats were stuck till after closing. That's what I've heard.
  13. I think it's sarcasm for why the bakery closed at Dreamworld and sea world
  14. Movie World does have plenty of variety: Village Bean Gotham City Ricks Cafe Arthurs Bakery Ben & Jerry's Concession Stands Dirty Harry Bar Newspaper Stand Outback BBQ Santa Fe Sundaes Sweet Treats Wild West Roadhouse
  15. I don't think we will see much work happen for the next couple of months now. Also, has all evidence of Dinosaur Island left the park now?
  16. It would be sad to see it go as it is a classic ride at the park. I always find it enjoyable when it is open as well. It does seem to be closed a lot lately, so maybe its costing them more. If they get rid of it, they should replace it with a roller coaster, but obviously one with a different track. However they might decide that after all the recent problems with Sea Viper, they might build a entirely new ride.
  17. Yeah I think you definitely do that. It just depends on how busy the park is, which I don't think it will be. When I have a pass, I usually get to MW for opening time and stay until lunch time and then go home. I usually can go on all the major rides. This is the order I usually go on them: Arkham Asylum Superman Escape Scooby-Doo Wild West Falls Batwing Spaceshot Green Lantern Justice League And then sometimes I'll watch HSD or the 4D show.
  18. I always get the cat woman burger. It's my favourite.
  19. I agree. The food at Dreamworld isn't that great at all. Don't bother with Dominos at Wet n Wild. When I buy food at Sea World I usually buy food at the front of the park, because its the best I think. Movie World also does some really nice food and has a variety. I would recommend Gotham City Cafe (When its open), Wild West and/or Ricks Cafe. They are all pretty expensive, but I always find that a burger, chips and drink at Movie World and Sea World fills me, which is good. If you don't want to spend money just take your own in a cooler bag and leave it in your car. Providing you put ice blocks in it, it stays cold, you just get a stamp out.
  20. When I went to sea world December last year there was lightning just past surfers paradise. the monorail, sky rail, storm coaster and jet rescue stopped operation. The final jet stunt extreme show of the day also didn't go ahead.
  21. Hahaha. No I don't. I just find that when the train turns, I find my head hitting each side of the restraint. The reason my knees hits the train is because each cart isn't totally rectangular, so my legs have to go to the side a little, so when the train goes around corners the force causes my knees to hit the cart. i don't think cyclone has a bad track layout, it's just the rest: the train and turbine theming and queue line.
