  1. It always closes for that long every year for the Winter
  2. The WnW maintenance has been updated. Black Hole is closed for an extensive time again this year. The Wave pool is also closed for a long time too
  3. If the log ride is going, then they definitely need to replace it with another water based ride. And I would be more than happy if it was just another (but modern) log ride. It’s a staple for a theme park, especially within the climate. If WWW was still an area of DW then they might be able to get away without having a water ride, but now that it’s seperate it’s an essential. Another ride within Ocean Parade is necessary and I would love to see the park get a dark ride (even if it was a shooting dark ride like JL). When the park had the laser skirmish it was always very popular (especially when it was Alien vs Predator). If they could make it more thrilling than JL but keep it as a family attraction it would be an awesome addition.
  4. I went past Aussie World yesterday and despite seeing pictures of the ride, I did not realise how big the ride is. It towers above everything else at the park and will really pack a punch when it finally opens
  5. It is likely there will be different contractors for the coaster construction vs the removal of the TOT. It unfortunately isn’t that simple. They will likely remove the horizontal track during MDMC maintenance and then the vertical track during GD maintenance
  6. @Gazza if you look real close... ...nope never mind I hope this doesn’t just become a ride placed in this position and it doesn’t connect in with the theming of the area. The concept art I think looks really good. I would much rather they take their time and get it right, rather than rush things to just get it open
  7. This summer as in the summer we are in now
  8. I’m shocked they still think Vortex will be opening this Summer
  9. Most of the slides are closed around the same time as previous years, but interesting that there is no end date to any of the maintenance (unless this was a technical error)
  10. AA’s future scheduled maintenance has now been removed
  11. Dive n Movies is continuing until the end of Feb every Friday and Saturday night. Movies start at 6, but slides will be closing at 6. https://wetnwild.com.au/attractions/dive-n-movies
  12. I’ve heard people say that HK DL is one of the best Disney parks, not because of the number of attractions, but because it’s one of quietest and it actually gives you time to enjoy everything. I love that they are properly investing in this park now with a better castle and new lands, I can’t wait to visit it one day
  13. Nope, we’ve had two on one year, but if all coasters are on track and don’t have delays then it could be an Australian first
  14. I went in late March early April a few years ago and would highly recommend them. It wasn’t too cold and wasn’t overly busy either. The bullet train will be your friend for travelling long distances. So fly into Tokyo, do Disney, then train to Fuji Q then continue on to Osaka to do Universal. And if possible, fly out from there. While your in Osaka definitely spend a few days in Kyoto too. Beautiful part of the country. If you want some tips for Universal, happy to share
  15. The carpark flooded because of the canal that runs under the entrance, so I would definitely say that the front part of the park would have flooded. I would also say that the western area would have flooded around WWF
  16. But Jet Rescue was built well before Corkscrew was gone? I know what you’re trying to say, but it wouldn’t have worked with the timing of everything
  17. Where? on the Gold Coast This source is a friend, that’s all you need to know. I’m not going to share it if I don’t trust it.
  18. But before that, we said they spent way to much on MW for them to invest in SW for some time. And then they dumped $60 million on SW. Never say never
  19. I’ve heard through a reliable source that 2020 will be the year for WnW GC. With possible slide refurbishments, relocations and one (maybe even two) new attractions. Multiple locations within the park are being explored (Buggy’s, Mach 5, Behind Block Hole). I would at least hope to see Mach 5 removed, with a replacement attraction and some slide refurbs (River rapids, Aqualoop, Constrictor, Tornado). After WWWs big investments last year, I hope that is a wake up call for VRTP to invest into the park properly.
