  1. The maintenance period for SDSC has been pushed back and extended even further. The ride is now closing on July 22 and is reopening November 5.
  2. Here is a look at some of the food choices and stage
  3. They definitely need to improve the entrance procedure. Because right now... IT IS SHIT. The queue was almost back to the ticketing booths, and only 2 gates were open. The stroller/wheelchair entrance sign is still up, and a couple people tried to enter that way, but security told them they needed to enter the normal way. Scooby-Doo, DD Store, Dirty Harry Grill were closed. And the Dirty Harry Bar was just opening at 11. And Drink refill stations were all closed too There was some work happening here though, couldn't work out what was being done
  4. GL still remains closed, but JL has reopened (probably because there are so many other rides closed). However was experiencing some technical difficulties this morning. And as someone has mentioned, the AA entrance theming is being redone
  5. Just at the park, tonnes of people gathered around the rides entrance for its opening at 11. Then the staff say, sorry guys, we are experiencing some issues.
  6. Just announced on FB it will be opening these school holidays
  7. Good to see the park publicly addressing the issue and providing a legitimate reason for its delay in reopening. Good work DW
  8. Wow, 2009 that image is from. Surely they’ve taken a new aerial photo in the past 10 years
  9. I wouldn’t say I’ve had a Disney welcome, but over the past couple years I’ve had a pass, I’ve only had a hello (name) have a great day a couple of times. Most of the time they just make eye contact and scan the pass, or are talking to the person next to them
  10. What Universal Orlando is doing now with their new HP coaster I like. They announced a new family coaster in the HP area was coming. They’ve started building the ride, and that creates great speculation, and then they will officially announce everything when things are well underway. I wish this was what MW did with Rivals, because for months they weren’t even acknowledging it was being built. Like come on, we can see it, everything can, just say something is coming. Anyways... they got there eventually. I like DWs marketing for this attraction, but wish they didn’t refer to it as I-ride. It should’ve been flying theatre from day one. And then a sentence giving some idea of what that is. And then the media wouldn’t make mistakes, and people would understand what’s coming
  11. On the attractions page they refer to it as I-Ride, but all the new pass marketing, billboards, posters, etc refer to it as a Flying Theatre, which is a much more interesting name to call it.
  12. So... apparently the DC Super Heroes & Super-Villains event is running this July from the 1st to 15th. Just came across this post, and have done some searching but haven't found anything to confirm this. Anyone have offical knowledge?
  13. The attraction is now listed under Family rides on the DW website
  14. The bubbler near shark bay is in the Ray Reef area, and obviously because that’s closed for maintenance, there is no access to said bubbler. You’d think that the parks message is about recycling, etc and yet they only provide one facility to fill up your water bottles. For a park that’s quite spread out, realistly they should have at least 4
  15. Well, AA, JL and DD are closed for maintenance, and the main part of this event is around the fountain, so I’d say that most of the park will be sectioned off during this event. But it is strange they didn’t open GL as well
  16. The new cub encounter area is complete at tiger island (Photo: TPSN)
  17. But the school holidays aren’t until July, so that’s here is a possibility, or maybe they will do that in the September holidays this year.
  18. AFTERGLOW On selected Friday and Saturday nights in June, Warner Bros. Movie World’s Fountain of Fame will transform into an electric evening filled with amazing live DJ acts, roving entertainment, street-food and all your favourite thrill-rides with the all new Afterglow event. Afterglow is the park’s hottest new after-hours event and is included with your Village Roadshow One or any valid ticket. Experience Afterglow on the 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, 15th, 29th, & 30th June! https://movieworld.com.au/seasonal-events/afterglow
  19. Works are also still happening on the dolphin lagoons, with fencing everywhere. And because of these works and the land works, COTD still mostly remains closed
  20. So the reason Ray Reef has been closed for so long is because all of the pools walls have been entirely replaced
  21. Still nothing major happening externally on the Sea Jellies. The only noticeable difference is the wall on the right of the entrance has Griffith University added
  22. Originally AA was scheduled to be in a months time, but was brought forward a couple of weeks ago. JL certainly is a new one and wasn’t supposed to be for a couple of months. DD was also brought a couple of months ahead, but that was changed a few weeks ago too
  23. That is some serious work happening on the reclaimed land, because last time I visited a couple of weeks ago, all that machinery and sand wasn’t there. So maybe we could see something coming in the near future
