  1. Just visited and the stadium was completely full which was great to see. A few changes can be seen since the last update, including painting of the rock faces, ceiling of the cafe completed, covering over some of the brick walls, and the far side continues progress. One of the keepers said that along with what has been stated for stage 2, a range of cameras throughout the enclosure, including on the top of the climbing post and underwater, will be installed and show footage on the big screen. Patrick is heading over to Cambodia in a few weeks to get some footage for the show and provide conservation.
  2. Filmed the ride today with the spray effect in action: https://youtu.be/vhZYyBe_eqo
  3. I also went today, only for a quick visit. And I haven't seen it this busy in a long time. I don't usual visit during the peak periods, so today was quite a shock. Queues everywhere, people everywhere. The gate for villains area was closed for some reason, meaning you had to enter through the shop or right side. But didn't seem to make an issues. And with half the SDSC inside queue closed off, the queue outside was booming. And I've never seen the WWF overflow queue area be used before, and it was today and was overflowing too.
  4. Noticed this extra detail had been installed on the queue roof:
  5. Yeah there's a MW logo type QR code on the seat in front of you. I saw people in the second row wearing it.
  6. I'm thinking: Halloween - Fountain DOTD - Main Street Apparitions - China town alley Gothix Hall - Gothic Hall
  7. Hahaha yeah, we all sat awkwardly there as we turned on the turntable.
  8. Lucky you, I just missed out, the first train they sent through, a few people got to wear them, then I rode it and didn't, and then the people after me got to wear them ?
  9. From MWs FB: A world of virtual insanity launches tomorrow 24 September at Warner Bros. Movie World! Arkham Asylum will feature a 360-degree virtual reality experience with technology seamlessly syncing the movement of the coaster with the visual effects to take you on a multi-dimensional journey. Please note, virtual reality on Arkham Asylum costs $5 and is available for purchase in-park. And here's a POV featuring parts of the VR: https://youtu.be/9hR_9uv2cBE
  10. Just been a checked out some of the figures and the interaction with them is great and plenty of people were trying it out. They were having a couple of issues with the Joker and Harley Quinn set, but they were trying to fix it. The detailing for the characters is amazing. Great to see that they also painted all the side of the sound stage blue, and I hope they cover up the back of the bank with something that blends into the western area.
  11. Went on WWF this morning and was pretty impressed with all the extra detailing up into the ride. Some of the effects weren't working, and it felt like some of the timing was out. All the extra signage and TNT throughout the ride really added to it, and making the storyline make more sense. Old faithful has been pressure hosed too, looking much better now. The train scene was really good, but I feel like the trains whistle should be heard earlier, and the explosion sound should go off just as soon as you see the train, because the explosion sound went as we went past the scene. And the population of the town has increased to 167 now (if I remember correctly). Besides those couple of thing, well done to MW
  12. Drilling is getting closer to GL now, and quite large holes have been dug with plenty of steal reinforcements in place. Drilling has also moved closer to AOS, along the main road, as well as diggers appearing on the other side of the lake, near the GL queue line (where footings were spotted)
  13. Wow those 'figure sets' look amazing, even more from what I'd seen. And the interactive elements so far sound great. And $15 for a band that can be used over an over again does sound reasonable. Especially with all that happens with each character. Can't wait to see the rest of them. I also saw the tv ad that was filmed a couple of weeks back on tv today, and it showed off some of the figures and their effects too.
  14. Where's another video from DWs page showing some more of the VR video: https://www.facebook.com/dreamworld/videos/10154009396933613/
  15. Damn it DW. That confirms that they are adding a space theme to the VR. It's great that they are introducing the system to the ride, but why have a system that displays something that doesn't even relate to the ride. All I can hope for, is they refurbish the ride next year to suit that theme of the VR. Otherwise, very pointless and disappointed. Magician ain't happy.
  16. Patrick is a fantastic photographer though, so I doubt they need much touch ups. Unless removing the collar.
  17. That was from DW website, and my understanding is that the VR won't have anything to do with the theme of MDMC. If my understanding is correct, in my opinion thats a stupid idea. Why wouldn't you have the VR system make it look like your riding a motorbike track. And it looks like your on a bike, and racing against others.
  18. I checked out Tiger Island, and Im really really impressed with the area. I even noticed that the ceiling of the food outlet wasn't completed either. Despite this and a number of things not being completed, it will be even better once completed. I love tigers, so to see this great facility for them and guests was great.
  19. That tower ride was a hot topic of discussion back when concept art was released: But what ever this coaster is going to be, I'm excited for it.
