  1. Last year the dates were released on August 25 and in 2013 they were released on July 30. So I would expect they would announce dates within the first couple of weeks of the month.
  2. It seems that DW have decided to have most of there rides open for 10 now (according to the website). And most are open to 5 as well. Seems like they've listened to people that have been complaining about it.
  3. Someone asked on FB if they knew if they had a reopening date, and they said that they still don't know. But the maintenance page on their website will be updated with a reopening date once confirmed.
  4. ^I think that gravel area was also used by channel 9 staff for BB when it was filming.
  5. I think the introduction of an overflow car park would be a pretty good idea, because I have seen the carpark full before and once its full, there isn't really any grass to park on (unlike MW's carpark). Here is a satellite image from October 2013 when it was full:
  6. OceanGirl, when speaking to the staff did you ask or did they mention about Tiger Island's 20th Anniversary and the makeover that was supposed to happen?
  7. Also, the maze in Scooby Doo doesn't usually begin construction until a couple of weeks before the first fright night.
  8. Sounds like an awesome addition to the park. You are definitely making the park into a serious competitor for the GC parks. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the themeing. Congrats with it all.
  9. I would like to see it stay at the park for a couple of years. I've been to SW and checked it out a couple of times and I think it is a really good addition to the park and a good replacement of DI. But as you said Alex, over time it will get worn and regular visitors to the park won't bother with it. I only went to the park one while DI was there, would people say that it was still reasonably popular towards the end of it being at the park?
  10. SW have confirmed that it is only a temporary attraction and will be at the park for at least 12 months: the Creatures Of The Deep is a temporary attraction, and we do not currently have a date for it to finish. However the attraction will be here for at least 12 months. Regards, Eve from Sea World
  11. why's that? What's the difference between this one and the one at MW and the one that was at SW?
  12. I noticed on DWs park map that the motor coaster is no longer labelled as MDMC, but Honda Motorcoaster (or has it said that for a while and I just haven't noticed). Could this link to what is coming this Summer.
  13. I do know last year there were a lot of completes about the queue lines for the first weekend. I went on the second weekend and they had reduced the waiting time from what people said they were waiting on FB. I think the longest I waited last year was an hour. They weren't that bad, and were a little quicker than 2013.
  14. Unless they've started already, I'd expect major work to start once the holidays end. But it obvious depends on what type of atrracitom it is.
  15. ^Ah ok. When you explain it like that, it does make sense.
  16. ^And he spells cool as kool, along with many other spelling and grammar mistakes. And what does get a little annoying is we get told everyday what MW and SWs park hours are. Look, I know people could say 'well just don't like the page', but it would be nice if he at least made sure the spelling and grammar was right. He is usually one of the first to post photos of new things in the park or construction updates, which is great. But it is a shame that he doesn't say, as mentioned earlier: 'It is to my belief, based of information found on Parkz, there is a likely chance that the Green Lantern Coaster could be reopening in September. This is currently just speculation, but be sure to stay tuned for updates.' If the person behind TPSN is reading this maybe just consider some of the points a few of us have stated. I understand it's your page and you can do what you want, but you have quite a few people liking your page and they may find some of these things beneficial.
  17. I did think that the show in 2013 for Fright Night was alright. They had bikes doing stunts, and they just brought the ramps in during for the event, and drove them out afterwards.
  18. But if they put a tent in the HSD arena then the show won't be able to run during the day for at least 5 weeks.
  19. ^ I agree. But sometimes they do get things right.
  20. Theme park social network have posted saying that there is a chance it will reopen in September.
  21. Sorry, it was autocorrect and I missed that when I read over it. Was supposed to be 'use'.
  22. The theory about the Pirates of the Caribbean filming does make sense. And maybe that could explain why the maintenance for the bumper cars was only put on the website a few days/the day before it closed. Maybe Fright Night will only be using one of the sound stages this year, if the other is being occupied. I can't imagine though that the water set next to AOS would have an affect on whether the sound stages were used for FN. I'd say the only reason they wouldn't sue the sound stages they use every year is because they are being used for filming.
  23. I think he meant that the theme park social network guy didn't know it was closed on that particular day.
  24. The doors open and close on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwLtwrUL7PI
  25. That is great news. Glad to hear that DW are going to bring back Eureka and finally fix up Cyclone. Happy days.
