I think that a Star Flyer will be a good addition to the park and will fit well in that area. The thing is though, on the sign it says opening in September (so it will be most likely opening for the school holidays). It is now May. They have got to get rid of the Reef Diver (I would say it will be gone by the end of the month) and then they only have 4 months before it opens. What ever it is, it isn't going to a something that isn't to complicated to build in a short time. So if it is a star flyer, this could be done. My bets for the make over is on either the cyclone, or river rapids.

I don't think it will be the cinema because it says a major attraction. I don't see the cinema as a major attraction. The cyclone, log ride and river rapids are the best bet.

I just think they haven't had a new ride there for a few years now, so they must (hopefully) have a good water slide in the plan. I don't see where else they could put a new ride.

Well Dreamworld have posted on there website that two major attractions will be getting a major makeover within the next year so maybe cyclone is one of them

It now says on the Dreamworld website that Wipeout won't be reopening until July 2014.

The new Big 9 thrill ride will either be replacing the Reef Diver or Mine Ride and the waterside will obviously be going out the back of WWW, behind the little rippers. I hope the water slide is something that hasn't been seen on the Gold Coast before.

Well. I don't think there will be a new thrill ride. But I do hope they replace the Reef Diver. I also don't think that we will see any new water slides this year. Maybe next year instead. And yes I would like to see the makeover of the two attractions. We have already got one, so why not the other.

As I have said before, I find it the most uncomfortable ride on the Gold Coast. I have got bruises from the ride before. I just think it needs a new train. When it goes up the lift hill it is quite slow and you always seem to go back a bit before the next pull. Also when it comes back into the station, it stops and then goes and then stops and goes and stops again. Why can't they just fix these small issues and then I would go on the ride again.

thats alright alex. I do think the volume should be turned back up a bit because sometimes you can hardly hear it. It would also be good if they had a few extra coloured lasers. Another thing. It seems every time I go on it the.breaking is really hard or nice and smooth, why isn't it ever the same?

Besides the lasers and smoke, are there any other major components to the ride that have changed since opening day

I don't think they will get another ride in this area. I would like to see a new western themed show.

I would also class Scooby Doo as a family ride. I always see plenty of people of all ages on it. And yes it is a dark ride. It's indoors and it's pretty dark in most sections

Dreamworld just need to install a few small paddle wheel systems, just to keep the water turning and much cleaner.

Hahaha very good Alex. Just wondering, what is the old china town enteramce being used for? I have seen food carts coming out of there, so are they just stored there and that is it?

I did think there were changes, but after looking at the other photo, I was wrong.

I know it doesn't look like much, but in my opinion it seems like they may be starting work soon. Or maybe I'm just hoping that something will happen to much. This may just be what it has looked like for a few months now, for all I know.

The Theme Park Social Network have posted this and it looks like there is some work going on.

I emailed them and they said this: Unfortunately the effect of fire has not been commissioned for the Storm Coaster; regrettably it was not known it would not be in effect until after the television ad was made. Sorry to cause you any disappointment. The idea of fire has not been completely ruled at this stage so feel free to contact us again in the future for any updates.

I would rather they didn't do anything at all then. And before they do any of this, they need to turn the Danger sign upside down.
