  1. It appears that this year they finally fixed the spacing issue
  2. I noticed on my visit today that they’ve added a couple signs around the path towards JR, to make it easier to find. Does anyone else feel like this is there attempt at marketing the ride again now that Steel Taipan is open? Maybe they should just remove the bridge that serves no purpose to make accessing JR easier and more obvious. And then they can widen the pathway too so it doesn’t feel like you’re walking down a back alley to get to a major attraction.
  3. Unfortunately those white sheds certainly stand out everywhere. Hopefully some tall tense trees will be planted to hide them a bit, especially from the view in the Nickelodeon area They also built a temporary wall around the stairs up to the Tavern, so you can’t get a good up close view of the construction anymore
  4. A couple of footings have appeared along the lagoon edge. Anyone know what these could be for? And it looks like they are pretty close to the trident slab being poured
  5. Appears to be a lot of overgrown bushes, especially next to WWF. And it sucks to see the rubbish issue sort of returning in the queue too
  6. Oh really? I hadn’t noticed anything, but will have a look next time I ride
  7. Kaboom is currently closed until further notice And the other 3 attractions still remain closed after nearly 2 years. But also, WnWs got some weird maintenance scheduling going on
  8. Having ridden it a couple times now since it reopened, while some of the changes are good, a part from the terribly slow laid/unload the most disappointing part is how uneventful the town is. That use to add some much life to the ride, but when it’s just some of the audio and none of the effects work it’s so disappointing. At a minimum the ride should still be like this:
  9. It’s great to see they are giving the attraction some attention. Hopefully they give the queue a refresh so the ‘theming’ doesn’t look so tired and old.
  10. Golden years has shared an update and my prayers have finally been answered after years of posting on here about it. The vine/weed that has wrapped around the fire of the station has finally been removed. Also, they have repainted the columns in the station to a much more traditional DW colour. Hopefully they continue this colour palette across the outside of the station too to bring it close back to its former glory days https://dwgoldenyears.wixsite.com/dwgoldenyears/post/paint-tracks-fire-dreamworld-update-10-2-2022
  11. That’s great news, but it can’t open on April 1, people will think it’s a joke.
  12. I’d rather it opened late. We’ve already waited this long, a few more months won’t hurt. And it’s much better to have a completed product you’re proud of than announcing it’s open and it’s not anything like what you want. And if it’s open unfinished, when will they complete it, if they even bother doing so.
  13. Yeah it is. It’s been 1-2.5 hours long on the days I’ve visited since it reopened. On one of those days it didn’t open until 11 due to delays, I was one of the first boats and when I got off the queue was already 1.5 hours long.
  14. That’s a very good point @Dom I believe the ride envelope has to be clear, so that could be why we haven’t seen any testing begin yet. They are wanting to get as much of the major construction done first, so once testing is complete they can easily finish things off
  15. If we assume they will open on Easter weekend, that is less than 10 weeks away. I know it’s different depending on the ride manufacturer, but for comparison, ST did consistent testing for about 6-8 weeks. So let’s hope we see testing begin by the end of the month at the latest. We have already seen the queue shade structure was installed, so it’s signage, planting, queue rails and other theming. Trident will probably only take a week to construct (providing weather permits) once the foundations are done and ready. Then it’s the queue, theming and testing. I’d say there will be a couple weeks of testing. So based off this, they will be on track to open this Easter providing testing of Leviathan begins very soon.
  16. Most people complaining is always closed or the queue is now too long
  17. WWF has reopened again and MW posted about the new boats. Does anyone know if the front row is available again?
  18. I don’t think we will see leviathan open unless trident is open too. There will be major access closures and leviathan wouldn’t be able to operate while they are constructing trident. I think the weather will be the major factor when installing trident. Landscaping, paths and theming can be done at almost any point. I think the delay with leviathan testing is the construction of the station and queue
  19. To be sarcastically safe, Summer 2023 And to be non-sarcastically safe, you should definitely be alright for September. But if you really want to come up at Easter, I’d wait until we see testing begin
  20. The track doesn’t have as step of gradient as I was originally expecting, which is a good thing. My only hope is they populate this area with heaps of plants. So you don’t just look at a dirt patch when you are on the train, but also to make up for the lack of along the path towards GD
  21. That would be a smart move to remove AA while SE is already closed. So they don’t have to close it again in a few months when they decide to finally remove it. I’m interested to see if they construct a more permanent looking fence under SE to block off access to the AA area while they construct the new attraction/s
  22. Must be an error because the website still says Easter
  23. Wow that sign is in bad shape, the park needs to spend some time refreshing and fixing all these issues
  24. It is a real shame, I remember one trip the queue was full but it felt like it went quickly because we didn’t stop moving the entire time. Now, a 30 minute wait feels super long because you hardly move. It’s gone from the fastest load/unload ride at the park to the slowest.
