  1. for a waterpark in summer (you know.... where its hot all day) it seems stupid and judging by all the negative feedback they are getting a shitload of their potential customers agree.
  2. sounds like a very poorly managed park. what the hell kind of decision is only opening 3:30pm to 8:00pm
  3. Wouldn't just be base rent either, there would be a turnover rent or profit share component too. It's not the worst idea and i'm sure a balance of internal catering mixed with external operators would work from a profitability perspective. The theme park operator just needs to do a gross profit per sqm forecast analysis to determine viability and which option to go with. (obviously taking into account what their customers actually want) Adventure world has a mix of its own catering along with a small Dominos pizza outlet but i would have no idea what rental/profit/income arrangement they have with Dominos for that space.
  4. It is but wasn't operational late last week
  5. pretty cool concept, looks like they have done a pretty good job of it
  6. no no , keep it as is. Keep pushing groups no matter what size through as fast as possible. I've seen the conundrum of trying to pair 2 + 2 with all best intentions , people are just stupid and dont co-operate with the staff. And single riders shouldnt get to go in the fast pass queue - mind you i have not seen many, (if any???) single riders even lining up at all? I think over time the lines will diminish and calm down on this ride
  7. 2036 is excellent, we have lots of theme parks, western sydney doesnt have any new ones from what you are seeing today though if you survive the great war you will have so much fun on the future rides
  8. Hi my name is John Titor i am a time traveller from the future, I have been sent back to this time as it is a very crucial juncture point in the history of the world and my people want to learn as much as possible about what happened in the great war. Feel free to ask me any questions and i will answer as best as i can.
  9. excellent, I will come check out and test the white strip this week
  10. I haven't been back since my feet burned off last time but apparently they have now put a painted white line down the red path like their used to be on the old black road path. Should help a little bit
  11. Treasure Island Resort is a nice place to stay for families , its more a caravan park than a resort but it has units to stay in also. has plenty for kids and the family to do , several pools, tennis court, mini golf, jumping pillow, restaurant, bar etc etc- http://www.treasureisland.com.au/ Its pretty centrally located between seaworld and the other 3 parks , its right next door to a large shopping centre also (harbourtown) and also near another (westfield helensvale) I have stayed here twice for theme park holidays and found it a great location for getting around. I wouldnt stay at Seaworld resort if planning on going to the other parks as well and seaworld doesnt have enough to keep you entertained for the whole stay. You will need a hire car in this option.
  12. WOW ! - That would be a ridiculously long wait ... more than 2 hours surely. Good to hear tonight sold out.
  13. I imagine it would be very expensive to cover adventure world in that stuff , worthwhile investment though in my feets opinion.

  15. Didnt notice the stairs, didnt even think of them but i guess they would be closed as freefall is still dismantled and fenced off. Those stairs aren't really a solution anyway, definitely not for kraken.
  16. enjoy, from what i saw of the setup today the fright nights should be good
  17. Yeah the Caesar was top quality ! The new surface i guess in one regards is an improvement in that it is smoother than the old black road that would tear your feet up BUT the old surface also had a smooth painted white line down it that was much cooler than what i experienced today. So the red hot heat absorbing path to me is an overall failure and yeah its steep and long so it's not exactly a quick journey over hot coals
  18. I dont think they will ever allow that, but something will need to be done, as i said it wasn't that hot today but the surface was and our feet are still burning. I'm not sure what a viable solution would be though..? lighter colour paint? shade cover over entire walkway? different surface? all pretty costly solutions i would imagine though unfortunately. Are you allowed to wear water shoes like these on the slides maybe?
  19. 2015: Adventure World Universal Studios (Singapore) Adventure Cove Water Park (Singapore) 2016: Adventure World Hong Kong Disneyland Movieworld Seaworld Wet n Wild
  20. Yep, went again today. All the setting up for Fright Nights was happening, looks like they will be good but i couldn't stay. Place was pretty empty again, Kraken was a walk-on, literally nobody up there. Went on only twice though because..... One grizzle... the new red surface on the hill, whilst smoother, is horrible. It is so hot. All of us left today with burnt sore feet. Our feet are still sore now. Today wasn't overly hot either, i hate to think how hot that hill surface is going to be come summertime and we only walked up 3 times (twice kraken, once wahoo) Chicken Caesar Salad and Schnitzel Baguette... Good !
  21. Hit up AW again this afternoon - went on the Kraken twice, only approx 15 minute wait. Definitely a world class slide, not totally sold on the first 360 but the rest of the journey and the anticipation for the drop is cool and then the drop into the funnel itself is awesome. Love it. PS - Love the ship entrance at the start too.
  22. yeah good work on your stuff iwerks i went today to AW , the place was a ghost town (sadly) but ironically i went with only my 2 year old for a few hours so we went up to the top (on the cable car) and had a look at kraken but I couldn't go on with him - there was practically nobody up there. spent our time mainly in dragons kingdom with all of approx 5 other people. the water was cold !! had lunch , I had the kahuna burger - was good, chips were average, junior grro had nuggets - I tried them they were tasty but overcooked. still good value price wise.
