So is Corkscrew and SW's skyway (when they were with Arrow of course).

Plus the expansions suck My hard drive got wiped, and I gave the CD to someone which means I may be without the game for a bit. So if someone wants to go first then I'll chip in soon.

Any one going to Screamworld next month?

Well if other members do, I will too. So anyone going? -
lisalila welcome to the forums, take a look around if your wanting more information on what the new ride will be. I'll sum it up quickly, look at the link that Skipper provided, and imagine that ride with a Scooby Doo style dark ride section, and you've pretty much got Superman.

Haven't heard, though I seem to recall "Kokomo" as the name they give to the over flow carpark next to Mammoth Falls, so perhaps there. Not gospel but a theory none the less

I'm pretty sure the term 'Ekka' came as slang for 'Exhibition' and sort of got taken on the official name over time. I could be wrong though.

There's alot happening at Wet 'n' Wild over the winter, just try and get your head around all these: Interesting to see no Whirlpool Springs, which was responsible for a big boost to attendance over last winter, and Mammoth Plunge is closing in preparation for its long awaited move across the Coast. Nice to see a some compensation for guests this winter with the temporary kid's area, should be well worth a look.

Hang on, haven't we already had fighting between the states in this thread? Everyone just needs to chill out, and read this -
Exactly, and my point was that because they aren't going to have the Wiggles everyday (Its just not possible) then people will probably be really dissapointed. Its the same as people who go to Aussie Zoo and get pissed off when Steve Irwin isn't there.

Ahh, year 12. I remember playing a lead role in our drama production for year 12. Its a great scapegoat for failing everything

Well, not to put a fine point on it, but Dorothy the Dinosaur is no substitute for Jeff if you get my thinking…

How about this fix, no expansions, no custom scenery? I’d really love to use RCT3 because of the better graphics, but realistically, most computers can’t run a park of this scale. The polling also so far suggests a slight lean towards RCT2, so what I’ll suggest is two parks, the first in RCT2, then if its successful, another in RCT3. Thoughts?

Ok guys, I've added a poll to this thread. Please vote if your interested in participating.

Whats your favorite show ride or your worst ride?
joz replied to Katz's topic in Theme Park Discussion
lol I must admit, I cheated; it’s in the operator’s manual. Exactly what for I have no idea. I say odd because there is/was (haven’t been there for a while) one where the bulb has been taken out, so it’s probably 1331. $5 to the person who can spot it though -
Ok, here's an idea I've had for a while... The park can be divided into 9 lots, and each person gets to complete there own themed section of the park. At the end, staff are added, plus transport rides, and anything else that the park needs to be complete. After which time the park is avalible as a public download (IE, as the official R-C.com.au members park). I suspect that it'd probably work best in RCT2 though, any thoughts?

It’s not that hard or expensive to change the light bulbs when they blow. SW's carousel has 1,332 odd light bulbs, and they are being replaced more or less constantly (I've seen one blown for 4 days in a near impossible to see spot, where as more prominent ones are replaced within 2). It’s not that expensive to do, and if anything it could possibly help increase revenue. Take this tip from Safer Parks: Now, you don't have to tell most people that. If a ride looks poorly maintained, people are likely (and even advised) not to ride. So something like half the lights out is something to make you wonder about how well the ride is being cared for. That’s a good reason aside from the obvious fact that it looks like crap with half the lights blown. On topic, I'll head up to the Ekka this year and come up with a favorite. -
I dunno, it sounds more like a themed stage area then a 'land' as such. I'm not convinced it'll boost attendance in any major way, but one would think it would have (if nothing else) the potential to raise merchandise sales. The other thing is stupid people who will go to Dreamworld expecting to see the Wiggles, and will be disappointed. The various releases out there talk about regular appearances by the Wiggles (every holiday season?) but that’ll leave long stretches without them, and I don’t know how well “interactive displays” will quell the mob of parents.

I thought it was "Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end" Yeah, its pretty obvious that it was being run into the ground, I don't think anyone will argue. In fact, there is pretty much that consensus out on the forum if you have a look around...

So what ride are we talking about here? (Echo, echo....)

Parking the ride during normal operation. Corkscrew is always run in "manual" mode, since its more reliable then having a computer do it. I'm not sure exactly what safety mechanisms are in place, though I believe even without any, the words 'attempted murder charge' would act as suitable deterrent.

I think Animal exhibits are, and should be a big part of Seaworld's future. However, of all the Gold Coast parks, Seaworld is the one that's most due for a new (thrill) ride. There is a demand for it in the park, people want more thrills now that Thrillseeker is no longer in the line up. As for the not enough land thing, I don't fully agree with that thought. There is plenty of space if you know where to look for it. For example, a S&S tower ride could easily be placed where the lighthouse currently sits (and even partially enclosed in a lighthouse?), a road runner coaster style coaster could be squeezed in where the current Seal Rocks is (which is meant to be moved soon-ish). In between Bermuda and the Castle is dead space that could house a small ride (It'd have to be small, but I'm sure something could go in there), so that's 3 extra rides without replacing anything, and not mentioning the land between Bermuda and Corkscrew. In addition, there's a few other places around that could house new rides. Really, when the time comes to use that land between Cork and Bermuda, one would think it'd just about time for Corkscrew's retirement, which would leave quite a bit of free land, especially if you retire Pirate ship at the same time. I know, there isn't much of a desire to get rid of Corkscrew or Pirate ship (both on these forums and within the park), but I'm sure if the park decided to replace them with a Seaworld Orlando style floorless, then I suspect there wouldn't be much resistance. Besides, you could probably relocate Pirate Ship to somewhere else within the park anyway.
