Since everyone's been hating on DD, they will probably replace it with a Skywarp from Skyline.
-
I think DD will be replaced after the new coasters are in

Be fun to see if this opens for School Holidays tomorrow or if it can hold on and really last the full 6 months!

Sandy Shores Lagoon Refurbishment at Sea World 2023
Naazon replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
They are also, as pointed out, temporary. If the fence line needs to move frequently to allow safe passage / adjust guest flow / works move/change, a fence like what DW has wouldn't be appropriate. This is just a possible reason, not the reason. I have no hard feelings against the fences themselves, I hate the concrete feet that stick out and are a tripping hazard in crowds. Oh and the banging noise they make when people hit them or its windy. -
Kinda disappointed its a 'relaunch' and not a 'redrop'
-
But if I didn't know who was building it, how would I get them to build my ride?
-
Honestly, has it though? It made some noise in the media for a day or two and the people on what they clearly determined as unprofitable memberships have cancelled which in business is a win. Check back in a month or so and it will have blown over. Movieworld likely will have gains from this overall.

Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point "Closing"

Lighter trains would improve the launch system and its cooling issues also. Edit: Apparent issues. I don't know and not pretending to know if the cooling is an issue or a feature. -

I watch enough Linus Tech Tips to know easy ways to cool things down. Just heat exchange with the filming pool over at the studios! Easy! -
Excuse my ignorance but aren't they a construction company? Their engineers are focused on structural engineering rather than... ride maintenance? If I'm way off the mark please let me know though.

My favourite part about this is how only just a few pages back we were discussing how great SE is and reliable the launch is. Honestly the only thing I would want changed is the OTSR, fix the queue to go past the lockers before boarding and past the other side of the lockers after disembarking, replicating some OS parks and maybe some reprofiling on the track to smooth it a touch. -

Using the thumbs up as a response to a 'survey' produces false results as its the default "like". Edit: They totally know that though, and want the results to be as sensational as possible to match their story narrative.

If I remember correctly, June/July was the original run/time for the H&V event, and the parade worked really really well at night.- 406 replies

You gave them roses and sang some Barry white didn't you?

I don't think our parks can afford the luxury of a coaster that's "better than I thought it would be". Our parks need something that people see and go "I want to be on you" not "hmm this could be okay, oh wait it's good". It's cool, and a cool concept and we have the space as pointed out by @themagicianbut I think if we're looking for different than the rest, the park should look towards a flying coaster.

Thats neither R G or B

I'm curious if the individual lights in the letters are ARGB. Thats more becoming the norm and I feel if they can't individually change the single LEDs then they dropped the ball. ARGB allows them to do much more complex colour patterns and effects.

Or better yet, don't accept is as an L and accept it as a learning opportunity. Say thanks for the info/insight/research, and move the fuck on.

Honestly, this forum moved from talking about the details, to bashing the details. No one on here is ever satisfied and say "cool, nice work". We just recently had a number of YouTubers come through and yes they called out some negatives but honestly every review of our parks had heaps of positives. For some reason, as a forum the audience here seems to only focus on the negatives. When a positive is brought up, the thread quickly derails into a bashing of the opposite park. About the font? Honestly it achieves its goals. A quick scroll through the dreamworld website shows that they don't stick to 1 font, so adding another to the list isn't going to kill them as a company. The sign is striking, visible, and an effective use of their space. No one is going to mistake the name of that theme park now.

Does it light up pretty and look like it says Dreamworld? Cool. Job done. better than Gold Coast street lights.

Honestly @REGIE takes the cake for most personal growth on this forum. I used to ignore his(?) posts but now I actually read them. He listens to feedback and acts on it. Can't fault there, unlike some others on this forum...........
