  1. Thanks @AlexB. The response I was after. @themagician would a window fan work better? replace a few windows with a slimline box fan, with louvers to close in bad weather? as for the power. Quick Edit: What if the AC Unit was retrofitted into the nosecone somehow?
  2. Bit of an over simplification, but couldn't they just lower the track for the maintenance bay, and cut a hole in the roof above the normal track? The lowering the track, in my completely non-expert opinion seems to be the expensive part but the benefits are quite vast, for such an iconic park transport ride. Also the cost could be funneled into the Atlantis budget for some creative accounting to justify it.
  3. Should mention VRTP also sponsor Brisbane Roar (Soccer) and Brisbane Heat (T20). Not sure about the Bullets (Basketball) or Bandits (Baseball). Pretty sure they don't sponsor Broncos or Reds but feel free to correct me.
  4. Bluey is a huge success for Australian TV and has won awards and TV deals overseas which was reported in mainstream media. Giggle and Hoot recently (within the last 2 months) announced they aren't returning to TV next year. Bananas in Pajamas is still very popular with kids.
  5. Just FYI for people who didn't, you can do the same at Movieworld.
  6. Try using < and > next time once the video is paused to move forward frame by frame.
  7. Arkham has its 25th birthday on Boxing Day 2020. If MW are to close it, being proactive is always better than reactive and can give good lead time for its closure, allowing last rides. I don't think it will close for another 3-5 years though seeing as it looks to be pretty well maintained, although, anyone know when the lift hill chain needs to be replaced next?
  8. Siam Amazing Park in Bangkok. Around 1/2 the park was closed for maintenance as they had a huge anniversary coming up.
  9. Even more off topic, and I know its only minor but I do like the how HWSW goes around the slides. Our parks need more ride interactions. Be it, rollercoasters over paths or with other rollercoasters.
  10. The Coney Drop. Its in the title man.
  11. If it is, my only theory is you are on a ship being knocked around by rough seas / the serpent?
  12. Coaster Bot on Youtube posted his 100 of 2019 survey. DC Rivals got #9. Full results and explanation on how the voting worked here --> https://coasterbot.com/blog/gca2019 Video here -->
  13. A maybe from him literally means maybe. Don't get your hopes up.
  14. Does anyone know what the minimum height limit will roughly be? expecting @HussRainbow87 to have a good idea?
  15. Trash movies can be fun. Also relevance and licence costings im sure played a big role in the lineup.
  16. I thought I read somewhere that energylandia are getting this? or am I wrong?
  17. which happens to also be when Dreamworld is opening their new rollercoaster...
  18. Arkham its self cost 50% more than that, back in 1995. According to the RBA, adjusting with inflation, thats $28million in 2018
  19. George Miller is very vocal about wanting to film 1-3 more Mad Max movies and is rumored to have written them and even as far as story boarded the next one, and Tom Hardys contract is for 3 more movies but there is issues with the studio or something that is holding it up. @Flynn_Smith it was me that said a duelling coaster, but the biggest issue with that is the cost. I'm not one for facts on costs but I assume a duelling coaster would cost around the $40-$50million mark. Benefits are, keep an inverted (if they went that path), 2 coasters for the space of 1 and increased park and ride capacity and a good crowd sponge.
  20. Wasn't it the first with the extended run / helix?
  21. Not to mention, body slides don't have block brakes and you have to wait for everyone to clear before the next person can go. Any higher / longer and slide time stretches out and queue time builds
  22. Is an LED screen out of reach? an LED screen would work well when there is still light around and could even be used during the day for VR ads like Movieworld and sponsorship ads for revenue/offset costs. (During non wave periods)
  23. Pretty easy to prove if its legit too. odd such a claim isn't being backed up.
