  1. The Scooby Doo IP's they have are also based on the films and not the Hanna-Barbera cartoons so it would be even more strange to suddenly pick up a H-B IP
  2. If you look closely, you'll see a back of house access road that runs right between the kids area and the area in red that you've marked. In order to utilise that in the kids area they would need to shift the road to outside of the park boundaries and move a large section of the back of house area. I don't see that ever happening
  3. Introducing blindfolds for when you're riding the train, that way you don't know when you'll get held up. You won't be able to see it happening either but you're not missing much.
  4. When the hypercoaster climb was first being talked about, figures like $300-$400 were being thrown around. At least village had some sense and didn’t go with that insane idea. Although I agree, for just a walk up and down $50 would make a lot more sense than $100
  5. I'd rather not go into details in a public forum but feel free to get in contact with me.
  6. DW also reached out to a Psych to be on-site in case it was too much for Kim and she needed someone to talk to. They were very accommodating
  7. Okay, I've talked to a couple of my contacts who work at DW and they have told me the details around this segment. Sunday Night/Channel 7 reached out to the park outlining what their plans were, including bringing Kim through the park. The park was more than happy to allow Kim and the Sunday Night team to visit the park because Kim was involved. If it was just Channel 7 trying to bash the park again, they most likely wouldn't have been allowed. They were brought into the park 1-2 hours before opening and continued filming once the park was open. Kim left after the walkaround with her was done and the Sunday Night crew stayed to film the last of whatever the needed. The entire time they were chaperoned around the park by management. Any further questions?
  8. That was a joke for those of you who took it seriously...
  9. If you look closely at their hi vis vests, you'll notice "MACK Repo"
  10. Word around town is that MACK are footing the bill for this extensive maintenance as they were the ones who instigated it. If Mack calls and says "We've got to come and check the track in a years time, we'll pay for it and send our engineers down to oversee it" You're not going to dispute that, you're going to provide them with whatever they need.
  11. Stopped by MW today too. Grabbed some photos. The strapping under the camelback hill is to secure the supports. It wraps around the supports and then anchors to the ground near the base of the first drop. The top section of track from the camelback was also removed and was being bolted back into place when I got there again later in the day. When I was at the McDonald’s across the road, I saw the track piece completely detached and hovering above the hill being held by a crane and being inspected.
  12. Alright I went to DW today, here’s some pics I managed to grab. I also noticed that the jelly belly store has had all of its vinyl wrapping removed and was closed so I’m not sure what’s going on there but I’ll let you know when I find out.
  13. OMG NO! I can't believe what Ardent have done to this park.
  14. There will most likely be a generic maze this year with no specific IP behind it.
  15. Anyone know the average life expectancy of someone that snorts coke compared to someone that drinks only poweraids? @AlexB @Skeeta You two seem to be quite knowledgeable on a lot of things.
  16. Yeah, I thought the only people saying Buzzsaw was closed for i-ride constructions were the tottas?
  17. It sounds like she didn't have a chance at a good name from the start...
  18. "nothing has gone wrong before, they would have told us about it... right?"
  19. The real question is, should we be concerned with DW removing planned maintenance?
  20. DW are in no position to blow millions of dollars relocating MDMC, only to blow a few more million to put a new ride in its place. If DW did build a new ride, don't you think they would more likely make use of the abundance of land that's currently sitting dormant behind a fence?
  21. You only have to press four different buttons because none of them are labelled.
