  1. That facade looks like both a shopping mall and an airport terminal. Easily could one of these.
  2. I don't understand what I have done wrong. I only suggested the idea and said that a ride-op told me about it. Never before did I say this was definitely going to happen. Of course all info is sketchy at this point.
  3. I have been told by a ride op (not that they are always reliable) that Gold Rush is being re-themed to an airport/flying theme to match the i-Ride theme, and Buzzsaw will be renamed.
  4. The cost of running and maintaining TOT alone is the reason why DW is suffering financial problems. The experience is not worth the cost of maintaining it and all of it's test runs.
  5. It's only been closed since mid June due to the amount of problems it was having. It did reopen for a couple of days in early July, however closed again and is set to reopen in 3 days from now. That's not even 3 months so far, whereas Buzzsaw has faced closure since end of March (that's 5.5 months), wouldn't you rather complain about that? I have noticed that they have finally posted that the RIP is closed. This attraction has been closed since July and is now set to reopen at the end of October, however the closure has only been posted on the website since yesterday. It's interesting the amount of extended maintenance they are doing on their attractions. Hydrocoaster, Buzzsaw, TOT, Hot Wheels and the RIP have been closed for very long periods. PS Why has this been made a new topic? TOT is literally scheduled to open in 3 days...
  6. I think the most likely theme for this attraction is an airport terminal. It would be cool if they made up some fake airline and incorperated typical airport shit and made it a kick ass theme.
  7. The Jetsreams are not listed as a standalone attraction but are still listed on the sidewinders page Mach 5 is also opening in December which is cool.
  8. A futuristic designed facade contrasting with historic facade designs to me would be highly effective to make the ride stand out. Despite it not looking like everything else, it would contrast well and I applaud DW for this design choice. At the end of the day, this design could be much worse and doesn't appear to follow typical DW thinking.
  9. 1.5 to be exact. but i decided to use the swedish rounding method and round it to 0dp
  10. Hot wheels maintenance has bee pushed back by 2 months. New date is 15 Oct.
  11. There are now large weeds growing out of the abandoned Jetsteams plunge pool. The whole Mach 5 area is now looking very neglected. There is still no changes with these slides and they have remained in the same state since January, and in just 3 weeks time Jetstreams would have been closed for a year, and Sidewinders closed for 9 months. I would hope that they are pending demolition because the whole structure is a complete eyesore and it looks terrible without its shade sail. If Village Roadshow is going to let these slides rot, please, please just install a shade sail to make them look somewhat normal.
  12. A good write up, but a shame that little information about his recent visit would be disclosed. Surely not all of it would have a reference to the rapids incident. Many comments such as friendliness of staff, current rides and attractions under maintenance and the quality of current attraction offerings could have been mentioned. One question that was floating through my head was... "I wonder if he had to pay for a ticket full price during 2017?". Also thought there were going to be interviews from previous engineers and opening day staff?
  13. The reason why it is fenced off is to prevent the cigarette smoke from damaging the historic buildings which Dreamworld want's to preserve.
  14. Plot twist: what if it was a replacement SkyLoop 😂
  15. That is even more depressing than Friday’s update from Roache.
  16. For the first time in awhile, public feeding at Ray Reef has re-launched.
  17. Why are the 2 sets of BBQs just before the mammoth falls stairs still accessible by guests? One set have covers over them, and the others can still be used and there is no seating out. Also - the buggies are out back now, as seen through the mammoth falls queue Zero change to Mach 5. one thing which I noticed is that slides which had duel slides seemed to have pumps operating the whole day despite not being used, this was confusing as it doesnt seem like a good way to cut costs. Despite black hole being shut, its pumps were operating the whole day which looked to be full water levels.
  18. I was there today too. they certainly are not painting it. They have been moving up and down and inspecting a certain portion of the track. They seem to be focussing on the track which wraps around the lift hill.
