Remember when you used to go to DW and you wanted to take photos of rides or scenery etc and used to get frustrated because people kept walking in front of you just as you were about to take the ‘moneyshot’... ... these days you purposely wait for someone to walk into frame and then take the shot to prove you ain’t the only person in the park....

At the park now and absolutely LOVE the new upcharge attraction $20 for 15 minute tinny hire on the river, including high-vis shirt hire! Half price discount if you take a net and remove some algae while you are out there And the kangaroos and emu’s have recently been replaced with.. bobcats..

Yeah I’m totally sure VTP is super keen on the financial outlay required to purchase and basically re-invent DW, all with the aim of dimishing their current competitive advantage held by MW... there are times when having a monopoly on a market is counter-productive. This would be one such time.

Agree with the above ‘best mazes’. Film Vault & Evil Dead probably the best imo... i also thought The Walking Dead was great (even though at the time I had never seen the show), the use of good scenes and changes of directions etc were great

Before the current incarnation of FNs it was a more family/young kid friendly event, but that changed about 6 or so years back, I don’t think parents are that naive to think it’s still that way, more so they think their children won’t be negatively impacted by that imagery (and they may not). I personally wouldn’t take a 5 year old there, but I can’t speak for others choices.

To add another VTP marketing fail...I noticed there were ‘made for tv’ (digitally added) billboards for Rivals on the track fencing during the GC600 2 weeks ago. All it was the logo, and it only took up about 60% of the available black rectangle it was added on. If I wasn’t familiar with the logo and what it was, it would have been completed missed or misunderstood. I can almost guarantee any person not familiar seeing that around the county would I have had zero clue what it was

Whilst I understand the economic benefit of them moving to restricted hours (weekends/holidays) I think that does more harm than having out of action rides, on the proviso the out of action rides are well referenced online and at park entry so people know what they are paying for. Day entry fees shouldn’t be a dollar over $40 for adults based on the current offering (something they’ve realised with the 30 for $30 offer). Moving to weekend trade negates about half their workforce, which results in redundancies which won’t help them with any positive media or community goodwill. I just think they need to make a decision and either invest some serious money in now, not in 12 months, or just put a For Sale sign out the front

Not sure if it was all ticket holders or just members, but I received a survey/feedback from VTP yesterday about FNs. Good opportunity to let them know what you liked, didn’t, and what you would like to see in the future! (Everyone pls put you would like to see 1 or 2 nights for +18s only! Haha)

Tbh, for any guest that complains that there are Xmas decorations up prior to Halloween I would support managements decision to swiftly remove them from Park, on the proviso they be given free Easter themed merchandise on the way out.

Why? Whats 2 days difference make? If they already had the Necessary high-reaching equipment out for take down the FN’s stuff, may as well put stuff up at the same time

That’s been known for a long time, SW is for now the new permanent home. Fingers crossed they find a way to work it better second Time around as it was a pale comparison to prior years

$79 for adults during Kids Month is pretty much as cheap as it has been. You can sometimes score passes around that price from scoopon/groupon. Or wait for the next buy 3 get 1 free promo

If there was ANY concern whatsoever of the same thing occurring, the ride would NEVER open again.

I’ve never once seen GD depart with only one person on the ride... given the supposed time frame, and a complete lack of media or social media coverage, I’m calling absolute BS

Ahh.. remember the trams from the tour, and now I think about it I do recall seeing them outside PC car park when I first visited there about 18 months ago. Completely forgot about them!

It doesn’t say nor mean that operator error didn’t contribute or cause the accident, just that there was no maliciousness involved on their behalf that could see them be found personally liable

It wasn’t directed at someone... it’s not like users regularly swear here... if the worst thing a kid manages to see/do online is stumble on this forum and see a swear word, then I’d be pretty happy.
