  1. Ardent would never sell it. They see it as the cornerstone of their portfolio, and as a publicly listed company, they would be a less worthy investment opportunity, not to mention less attractive without DW
  2. To be honest, the only thing that keeps me buying DW/WWW passes is that I actually prefer WWW to WnW due to more shaded areas/better kids area, never as busy and I live in Coomera. If it was purely for DW id give it a miss this year
  3. Yeah that's true, guess its just personal preference. I always take a backpack, but put it in a locker for most of the day...
  4. Why do u need a big bag? If you are bringing a big bag you'd be wanting a locker anyways so you are not carrying it all day. And it is not more risky than any other ride IMO
  5. GL has item boxes at the station now. No need for a locker.
  6. Reported my post! Haha. Sorry you are the Forum Police. Report yourself for being an inconsiderate theme park attendee. You're letting your own spite potentially spoil other attendees experiences to a park. I just called you out on it! I could say plenty more but you can't see it so I won't bother.
  7. You sound like a massive douche-bag. And a tight ass.
  8. The new burgers at MW at the Gotham Cafe are good quality IMO. I also think these are available at WnW too, not sure about SW.
  9. Pretty simple, if u don't like animals - don't go to a zoo. If u don't like theme parks that are as equally or more focused on conservation & wildlife/sealife as they are on rides - don't go to Sea World.
  10. Yeah, but what makes u believe that Wild is a ride as opposed to an exhibit?
  11. i'm still 0 from 10 rides with audio
  12. Fair points made but there is no point complaining about the detail in their responses. Do I think Todd Coates or the exec team moderate the Facebook page?? There is 1 FT staff member that looks after social media for DW/WWW - she isn't in a position to provide u with answers specific to their operational goals and decisions
  13. Ok, safety reasons would stop any guest from being allowed to attempt to climb steps the entire way to the top. You would have to build an elevator, that could not be done retrospectively. 78m on top? If true that's extremely Deceptive from the ground or on the ride for that matter. Still, given the only method of access (stairs). It is impossible
  14. An observation deck on the top of the tower?? WTF? That is without a doubt the most ridiculous suggestion I've ever read. Even more so that tearing down MDMC to relocate the vintage cars there! - how do u get to the top? - where do u stand? The area at the top would be lucky to fit 4-5 people. - safety? Wow.
  15. yeah, we've had about 6 month average rainfall in the past 4 weeks on the GC - not much building going on anywhere. I guess they would have been working on the indoor section, but no-one is going to have photos of that...
  16. so how did you come to the conclusion it is closing permanently from the quote you just quoted from DW? A new enemy will arise in 2013 = temporary closure for refit/retheme
  17. Scooby isn't great for bigger frames. It has to click in either 2 or 3 positions, not just the one, and there is a total weight bearing limit across the 4 passengers
  18. Or they could potentially just brand it to Ardent's other laser arenas - M9 - which are generic and found in a few AMF Bowling centres
  19. I certainly wouldn't consider rapids and log ride as the major/main rides TOT2, Buzzsaw, Claw, Pandemonium, MDMC are open full operating hours
  20. my father is a similar size ... it really does depend on the ride. Rides i can pretty much guarantee that you can cross out will: MW - Scooby Doo, Space Shot and potentially Arkham Asylum DW - The Claw, MDMC, maybe Buzz Saw
  21. Major shareholders do not determine operating procedure though, so therefore staying a Bank runs DW is completely incorrect
