So 2 coasters down at once to be ready for the school holidays. i don’t get it? What’s the big deal?
-
Not privy to any details, but it’s certainly an Ad I can see playing in full at cinemas domestically in the lead up to the sept and Xmas holidays, and I’m sure an edited shorter 10-15 second version will hit tv screens

VRTP’s new advertisement taking in all the parks, I think it’s really well done
-
Surely would have been mentioned in their results announcement if it was happening this financial year.

Ardent to shrink Dreamworld footprint

Noted on my last 2 visits the extreme drop in speed required these days as the train moves from just past the train shed and old BB amphitheatre area through to going under the walkway, it slows to literally like snails pace for about 100-150m. -
And I certainly agree with that. If you want people to sit down at watch a video, the room should be set up as so, as it used to be with Batman Adventure at MW. Im certainly not sitting down on the floor, though I was surprised at how many did. Its the sort of video that should be shown in the queue line, so you have an option to watch or not while you are waiting.

Cool... I’m wrong. Have no problem with being wrong either. Guess I have/had lower expectations. All my rides all screens have worked, the only time people used phones in the pre-show room was when we were held up there for 10mins on opening day, but none used them during the actual video. Both times we were encouraged to sit or be comfortable whilst watching the video. Both rides the dots on the floor were explained by the attendant, as were the loose items storage, prior to letting us into the ride area. There is clearly some gaps in training between staff. Hopefully most people enjoy it for what it is.

Dreamworld would have plenty of attraction as a conference and meeting venue if linked to a hotel. I don’t necessarily think it’s the best utilisation of the land, but I have no doubt there would be a market for it -
Whilst anyone would say the pre-ride shows are tedious especially for repeat riders, If you’ve never been on such a ride, how would you know there are flaws in the ride system or production? You wouldn’t. As for these flaws being “significant” I reckon that’s absolute baloney and based purely out of you comparing it to overseas comparisons which 95% won’t be doing.

Why are people getting confused with dates? Q1 FY20 is July-Sept 2019. That’s means they expect to start ground work in the next 5-6 weeks. If you are using Blue Fire’s 9 months as a reference to construction, then that means a June/July 2020 launch. Winter launches are somewhat weird though as it’s not peak. I would say Sept 2020 is a more likely timeframe

I’ve been middle gondola bottom level for all my rides so far

After riding again yesterday, I certainly believe the jolts/bumps are entirely planned and not as a result of clunky ride design. They only happen in 3 scenes that accompany footage relative to bump terrain or action. Yes they can be a little disconcerting the first time, but on repeat viewings you can see it’s a planned effect

Yep everyone with phones out were specifically told no photos or filming both Yesterday and today when I rode. One guy who didn’t seem to listen go a pretty stern face to face warning

Dreamworld Update - 3rd of August
Brad2912 replied to Gold Coast Amusement Force's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Also for those that may not be aware, they’ve now slapped a minimum age on The Claw. It is now a minimum age of 10. I find that pretty extreme for the ride type. I know they had previous done it with GD, which made sense, heights etc. -
Maybe because they are not Looney Tunes characters, so them joining the stable is a bigger deal? I dunno, I have no problem with it. MW has had recent large expenditure and SW is now the focus. VRTP’s results presentation due in the next week or 2 and maybe we’ll hear more

infinitely better not having that walkway blocked. Had no issue with the ride, it just had terrible placement -
I think people may be overplaying it’s flaws. Sure I haven’t been on Soarin’, it may be a pile of crap compared to that, but the vast majority won’t have been on this type of ride before, so have no comparison and know no better. It will be extremely well received. I didn’t realised the jolts were imperfections in the ride mechanic, I thought they were intentional as they seemed to occur in scenes that justified that kind of motion. Think most of the public will feel similarly

My first visit to the park in probably 4 months or so - well whenever Consentino was on, passes expire end of Sept so just got in before they expired thankfully.

Really enjoyed it. have never been on a fly-over style ride until now and I thought it was fantastic! We got held up for a good 10-12mins after the preshow but other than that - great!

Woah! Fantastic news! May have to do a quick stop in this morning

There is no more relevant an IP than Looney Tunes. I would be absolutely pissed if that was ever to be overlooked. Happy to see a Lego ride (if licensing allows) or a Tom & Jerry attraction, but not at the expense of LT.

Where is there? Context is fantastic.
