  1. The majority of posters here (as has been discussed many times over now) are well aware that Wild as it was initially pitched/promoted is for the most part dead & buried.
  2. Didn't think of that! Or maybe we should declaw them and muzzle them permanently just in case?
  3. A roller coaster worth of any substance would not be going slow enough for you to notice what animals you are flying over/past. Plus I don't think the animals would be too impressed (nor the activists - rightly) about a roller coaster hooning through their enclosure. Can just imagine it now 'coaster e-stops over tiger island, maintenance crew mauled'
  4. Sounds like a typical water park in peak summer season to me..
  5. Interesting that you would recommend that approach to the mazes. My regular has always been to skip the 'pre-show/opening' and be as close to the front of the lane way to the studios for when the gates open, that way you are in your first maze within 1-2 groups, then straight into the other studio maze, where the line usually hasn't blown out yet as people are still entering the park and tend to loiter or be drawn to Main Street first due to the scare actors and smoke. I've always found I've had the 2 studio mazes done within 30-45mins, then head for the sound stage maze where you're looking at a 45-60min wait, then have dinner, superman, Arkham, last maze, green lantern.
  6. Whilst I agree mostly with your statement Mickey, there is a fine line between rookie enthusiasm and straight up cockiness/arrogance, with the line generally drawn when that enthusiasm clouds judgment and said rookie posters refuse to accept/believe rational information or advice. Everyone deserves respect here, but this is also a fun community where I believe a bit of jovial banter is also part and parcel of the game, providing it doesn't get overly personal.
  7. Interested in what scares have appeared in The Ripped given everyone has said it had little to none. I'm planning on skipping it unless time prevails next week, so if all of a sudden it's changed I need to know! I have no patience for people complaining about queuing for Scooby at a night event. Just cannot get my head around it, nor would I even consider it an option unless is done every maze and other ride, and didn't want to re-do mazes Did it hurt? How many kids do you already have?
  8. When does the creative process begin for fright nights? I.e. when did they start planning, decide on the maze themes (save for the internet poll) for this years event? Would they consider upping the ante in the future and making the event 18+ (Only for a couple of select nights to avoid damaging value to U18 VIP holders/families etc).
  9. Took my son on Mini Driving School today, he turned 2 last weekend. He absolutely loved it. I was really impressed to with the detail and the size of the attraction. Well staffed, didn't see a single instance of people playing 'bumper cars' as some had suggested. 1 cycle wait in queue (5mins), the only thing holding up efficiency in load/unload is the size and the fact the cars can obviously stop anywhere in the building, so can be a bit of a walk around to find that last available car. They do a great job of it though. 5 min wait for the licence photo card, great touch for the kids. All in all, a great attraction! As for the rest of the park, usual issue with F&B outlets closing early. 3:15 Gotham Cafe closed already, sweet shop closed before 4. Only place to buy a post mix drink after 4 was the little kiosk near entry/exit, which had run out of post mix coke (hello just attach another box of syrup!). Park was fairly busy for a Friday in school time. Scooby closed at about 3:45 to prepare for FN. The new entry sign has nothing on the old castle (even though that was getting dated). As I was walking out at 4:15 the Terror Tour people were trying to get in the park, but were told they couldn't enter until 4:30 and they were kicking up a stink.
  10. If anyone has a News Limited subscription (I've used all my free articles) there is a story about WnWS on the front page of the DT website
  11. We all know they are using the land vacated by SV to plant dirt and rocks.
  12. Don't think most people look up rides on wiki. The general public are not enthusiasts.
  13. New guys rolls in and asks for the old heads to get banned for going off topic. Rightio..
  14. I thought you hadn't been since the change over from LW so how would you know??
  15. And you're just a punk kid who knows nothing... How's that for a generalisation. Exactly the same as saying all ride ops are lazy. I'm not saying there are some that arnt, but that's the same in any role in any workplace. Plenty of them are great, and take pride in their jobs. Efficiencies between countries are not comparable realistically due to differences in wages, workforce structures, management efficiencies, systems, engagement, the list goes on. Just because it works in 1 country doesn't mean it works the same, or is reasonable to expect it to, work the same elsewhere
  16. How do we know that all these you tube commenters are not rake thin, and Kingda or anyone for the matter might be large? Comfort is relative to size, weight, proportions, which no 2 people will be the same.
  17. Was about to write something similar Alex. Minimum age for Ride attendants is certainly 18. Though maybe in kingdas parallel universe, where Arkham runs 2 trains and rides can be miraculously uprooted and relocated to the other side of a park at little expense, ride ops are 12 years old and learning algebra whilst pressing buttons
