  1. The second lesson is an online program run by this fellow... his name is Push, the E-Stop. topics covered include: - what does an e-stop look like? - where is the e-stop? - how do you press an e-stop?
  2. I’ve heard that the first subject covered at the Training Academy is how to print, laminate and display “attraction closed” signs
  3. VTP would lose it if local or state governments actively invested in a competitor that would wipe them out. I can’t see it happening, and as a local I would have massive issues if millions let alone a billion dollars of tax payer money went to opening a theme park when we still have multiple schools with kids having to sell chocolates to get air con.
  4. It ain’t happening. We don’t have the population to sustain a Disney Park, nor the international tourism numbers, due largely to being so far away. We may get a themed hotel/resort one day, that would be about it
  5. Melbourne is colloquial referred to as a city that experiences all seasons in a day. does that mean it does everyday? Of course not, but it IS common. Your blind defence of your city is getting old. Every city has issues and positives. Melbourne has a great music scene, sports cultural. It also has terrible roads and abhorrent weather. On that note big guy you need to calm down a tad.... Suns getting real low...
  6. Lick of paint and she’ll be like new again...
  7. Good to see that are being respectful to the ol’ Girl...
  8. Why should Parkz (a Business) supply another business with a free avenue to promote itself?
  9. Except a lot of the people wanting to collect stamps are not the demographic for DC Rivals...
  10. If that’s all that is in the pipeline there won’t be a DW to put the coaster in... Depends on taste. I’d argue there is a lot more Batman fans than Consantino fans (well I don’t need to argue it, it’s a straight fact). I’ll see both as I have passes for both, but if I had passes for neither - a new Batmobile and DCR beats a magician and a still delayed SV, especially in terms of a long term commitment to a park which is what an annual pass is. It’s been near on a decade since I have not had passes to DW, and the last year or two I’ve probably only kept them as a figurative (and probably misguided) show of support through embattled times, however I don’t see a solitary reason why I should renew this year. I’ll (hopefully) get to ride SV before they expire mid year, and then there is nothing on the horizon except some shaded seats that the park down the road has. Without some MAJOR announcements coming mid year with what will likely be terrible financial year results (no doubt presented in some way to not seem so terrible) I wouldn’t be surprised if they have less than half the passholders they had 2-3 years ago
  11. Been to Melbourne plenty of times, and spent the first 21 years of my life in Sydney. Sydney & Brisbane are infinitely easier to navigate. If Melbourne was planned to be that way then it must have been designed by the same guys now calling the shots at Dreamworld...
  12. Can’t remember a single time since opening when I haven’t take loose article on GL and left them at the station in the boxes
  13. Can’t be base level redundancies when they they are hiring base level employees.
  14. Nope. It will provide a minor uplift and give passholders an extra ride. I don’t see it being the saviour and driving a large spike in extra passholders or interstate visitors
  15. To be fair he is an acclaimed award winning magician - I can’t speak for his books or movie, but he isn’t just a run of the mill hire-a-magician that does birthday parties for kids. The slow reveal tease builds chatter, interest and hype so from that angle I don’t think it was a poor marketing ploy
  16. Big brother is not owned by DW. They have no say in its production. People getting disappointmented may as well complain to McDonalds that they want better pizzas at Dominos. Magicians have a strong history of theme park shows, my thoughts are this will be a one off for Neon Night though.
  17. 100% Consentino Wonder if it’s for Neon nights or school holiday shows
  18. Yes and when the channel 10 2019 broadcast presentation took place in Nov 2018 it was clear the idea was shelved with zero mention of BB and I’m a Celeb returning. Networks don’t “hide” major productions for surprise release as they need to forward plan production and sell advertising space, of which value is attributed to hype, not secrecy
  19. Big Brother wouldn’t be being revealed by DW, it would be revealed by the broadcaster. Production schedules are locked in well in advance, I’d be absolutely dumbfounded if it turned out to be BB (nor does it have anything to do with space or the authoring of books).
  20. TPSN thinks it’s J K Rowlings’ fatter and less successful sibling...
  21. As Mickey said, from my understanding the delays are due to structural issues with the building, not the ride itself.
  22. Not a single theme park operator or even a billionaire with cash to burn with consider doing that though, the value is in the land. If it’s being levelled, it’s to put 2000 homes on it, not rebuild a theme park
  23. Whilst I can’t stand the show, I’d imagine Dr Who would have a higher global audience than 50m. “Their show” indicates a couple or group. This is Dreamworld so it’s likely to be something cheap, and no longer relevant in anyway, but currently getting some media attention. If I had to put 2+2 together to get 5, I’d say they are getting a Mr Squiggle show. -60th anniversary in the media a lot lately with Woolies doing merch and mint putting out coins. - space = “the man from the moon”. - 50m whilst I can’t find figures, it was on air for 40 years so I imagine those numbers would be quite possible - completely irrelevant to kids of today which wouldn’t surprise me with DW.
