They are impersonators. if they got one of the previous actors back, that is awesome to hear. The old impersonators that played that character used to be pretty awesome.

It’s a good thing that new parade is coming, otherwise pretty soon there won’t be anything left to do at the park.

Very true, however at some stage one has to take some responsibility for the message that he or she is putting out there, and how it is being perceived. If they don’t, you have a boy who cries wolf situation. Marketing 101.

Hopefully they invest in some lifts for the slide tubes to be carried up..

Who the hell knows what the guy was referring to, but many people took his “you can’t compete with us” statement to be about the upcoming announcements, which in turn are; New Parade, using it as an excuse to do extended trade.. whoop de doo. New Slide for a badly neglected water park (finally!) Meerkats for a park that up until Covid hit, only the international market cared for. Credit where credit is due, not even village cared for Paradise Country until only a few years ago, using it as a silent park mainly sold to the international guests as a way to try to steal some of that market from Dreamworld. So good work to them for finally acknowledging it’s existence and doing something with the place, but honestly, the place could be so much more. I think an announcement that ground is being broken on Hotel V would be more exciting than this.

It’s a new parade with some extra bits and bobs here and there. When the COO says “it’s a big announcement, no one can compete with us”, a new parade and some new (old) characters is a bit underwhelming. Yes WNW finally gets some investment, but it’s hardly the game changer that was alluded to.

It’s a new parade. You can sugar coat it all you like, but it’s just a new parade.

What if it’s something as underwhelming as a new parade for Movie World? Will people be excited still?

The world class Hotel V - Sea World and Hotel V - Movie World resorts.

So, announcement for Hotel V this Friday then? It will be interesting to see if they mark the occasion in a big way, most Park birthdays here seem to be more about a foot note on their website, maybe a small cake on the day, which is a shame.

The big question, who has the balls to jump up and say “this is shit”, when the current show offerings satisfy (assuming) the general day guest, the target audience of the parks?

To me, it seems Dreamworld’s announcement has more meat to it than the village announcement, atleast so far. Has there been any formal announcement about hotel v other than the report in the GCB?

Dreamworld… abc kids world is a shit show, as is Dreamworks. They need to seriously up their game in their children’s ride department. For abc, 3 incredibly low capacity rides in an area that is decaying left right and centre, next to a cesspool of an abandoned river and island. Honestly maybe it’s time to fill that river in, and expand a new abc kids world into the island?

The showtime FMX shows are average at best. Showtime FMX are best destined to do shows where there is no creativity, just stunts, fire and loud noises. Movie Worlds entertainment and shows used to be first class, now, well they are essentially just fillers to say they have entertainment. Village can do good entertainment, the shows at Paradise Country and AOS are prime examples of good showmanship. They should show that good showmanship in their parks as well.

100% agree on the Tiger island being the best themed area. It has its flaws, but overall it is the best example of Immersion and escapism in our parks.

That’s fair enough, but I feel it’s a tad rich to go sherif on the guy when we don’t know the full story, or even who it is. Whilst if being done illegally is not good, is it really our place to belittle this person?

How do we know that the pilot behind this video isn’t licensed, and has the necessary approvals to do these shots?

I am sure the guy has some tricks up his sleeve. It’s very interesting though to see him interact in such an online Facebook group like that, and not on here.
