  1. The more I think about it, the more I agree with others above. It could be a post-loop climb or airtime hill approach. I was thinking zero-g roll because of the mounting points to the track, but looking closer they appear to be nothing like the ones in the image Skeeta showed. I was blown away by how many track pieces there are now, and there were another three containers being unloaded as I took pics on the way out. Just processing them now. @loki75, as I said above, this section is right next to the arch over the road as you drive in.
  2. I'm at the fence now - a support very similar to the ones in the zero G roll is now up. Where it is placed, I can't imagine this being for a loop as there is limited room to turn away after. There are 2 support areas now at the front - a smaller group near the turnaround, and the larger ones right alongside the driveway arch. Pics when I get home from my SLR, here's a few from my fruit phone:
  3. I'm here with the stepson so it's a case of family first, pics later. I have a dozen pics from my SLR, and will take more when we leave. As we were forewarned in this thread, the park is CHOKKAS today.
  4. There's some very twisty track pieces!! Had a quick look through the fence just now.
  5. A Zero-G roll could be a 'loop' to a construction worker unfamiliar with coaster elements...Flash has one. @AlexBTHANK YOU for the pics and explanation. I'm on leave from work atm, and am giving serious thought to driving down from Brisbane for an hour or three tomorrow. With the worker telling you track will be assembled tomorrow, I think there will be a few of us happy snappers to make up for you not being able to be there.
  6. UNITED AIRLINES themed coaster COMFIRMED. In seriousness, unless they're going to tear up the former driveway and build a decent queue, I can't see it being much different from GL.
  7. Of course if a RideOp was stupid enough to try and steal from a guest box, they'd do it in sight of another staff member and the whole next ride's guests lined up at the gates. Can't see it happening ever.
  8. It's certainly not a joke, and don't call me Shirley.
  9. Keep the spline connectors in mind when trying to assemble pieces into elements. @Skeeta I think they were referring to the stuff I've circled in the pic below.
  10. On the road out of Brisbane Airport is this billboard, been there a few months. Just in case people haven't seen it:
  11. I guess - these newer ones don't have the reinforced spline.
  12. With all these upwards curving (non-cornering) pieces, surely we can now confirm a loop?
  13. Hang on, where did "biggest ride they've ever built" come from? Don't know where in this thread I was given the impression it was going to be shorter than Flash in height and length? Is that sentence from part of the insiders' knowledge? I mentioned a few pages back, but again, is the track present indicating and specific elements?
  14. OMG I HAD A DREAM LAST NIGHT THAT IT WAS A __________ COASTER!! Seriously, I am curious about the track already here - can anyone identify any elements yet?
  15. Sure - I can "imagine" a RMC in a Medieval themed area. I wouldn't put it past DW to put something like that in plain sight.
  16. So, DC themed but not JL, Flash, WW, Aquaman, Batman, but another DC theme? Congrats may be soon extended to the below, who voted so in the poll October last year: @mattcrombie @AllegroCrab @SuperV @pin142 @Glubbo @Aw hype @reanimated35 @Tim Dasco @YLFATEEKS @downunder196
  17. I'm sure you can "imagine" one in the medieval fantasy that family is having..
  18. Back in the day, I preferred the drop-catch-drop east side over the straight drop. You could tell the person controlling the queue (back when they had someone doing that!) that you preferred a side, and they'd adjust the numbers in the queue to suit your preference. This was back when everyone queued in the archway, and only the next ride's group were sent into the wait room, when it had actual theming of a mining control room. For the east side, you had the same moment of 'terror' twice. The catch was still right at the top of the tower, so the freefall was almost the same durtion as the straight drop.
  19. What ride constructions elsewhere in the world is everyone keeping tabs on?
  20. ...which is peculiar as I thought the station blueprints were having the ride entry under the lift hill.
  21. Don't really see the need for a DC theme then it there's no theming other than train and track.. Just give it a generic coaster theme. I guess the "World Class" or "World's Best" (whichever it was) didn't apply to off-ride experience? I like the multi-queues.
  22. Silvarret on Twitter posted this pic of a new Vekoma coaster's first drop. I'm wondering again how our Mack will do it: something similar to this or a turn-then-drop?
