  1. I'm not ruling out more animal/marine life in the castle area if it were to be removed. It's very close to the Fairy Penguin and Dolphins, maybe too close for a serious ride? Still plenty of room at the former Viper & reclaimed area for ride/s.
  2. Read this thread, your answer is in it. I'm not telling you which page though...
  3. Well spotted Gazza, looks great. The trialed 'spear' did seem a bit much, assuming it affected performance..?
  4. Zombie Evilution, the lasertag game. ___________________________________________ Are we expecting the MW coaster to have any track on the ground by the end of the year?
  5. Beta November 9! Full Release November 17! (I've got the 18th off work, as the 17th is in the UK). The updates are coming thick and fast now. Keep an eye on their Twitter/Facebook/YouTube accounts, including Community Managers Bo Marit and Ed Lewis. Conformed in the last week or so: Mine Train Name Rides/Attractions Height markers for coasters RGB colour picker Day/Night switch Wooden Track elements (Woodies coming too!) 2000 object Blueprints Mechanics New mascot - Ellie, a Western Cowgirl Western Themed assets Sci Fi theme Soundtrack for anyone who's an Early Bird/Thrillseeker. (One Track already available)
  6. No, they haven't "shut down the park", they've advised Dreamworld to not re-open. They're not locking the gates or anything. I'd like to see the memorial in a quiet corner of the park, not in Gold Rush (or whatever replaces it, if it is removed).
  7. Ultimately, no, not in the negative. The very small number of people wishing to avoid 'theme parks' could not offset the number of people who had planned to go to Dreamworld, and are at Movieworld instead. As this is my first post in this thread (I have been on it since yesterday), I wish to express my sincere condolences to the friends, family and loved ones of the victims, survivors, staff and emergency services involved. Such a tragic accident. Thankfully, most people posting in this thread have been respectful, considerate and empathic. Emotions in our posts at this time are only natural, but posters need to be mindful that their posts can distract readers from the tragedy about those directly affected. I agree with the poster a page back, I would like to have seen better moderation of this thread as a lot of first time visitors are seeing this thread as their first time on the Parkz forums/website.
  8. Geez. I'm sure VRTP have offered support and to help DW out if they can, but that's as close as it gets. Maybe they're confused because of MW/SW/WNW being owned by the same comany, @Santa07 ...?
  9. I'm yet to ride DD, but I group it into the same level of thrill as the old Enterprise/Reef Diver. Maybe even better as the direction reverses during the ride. As mentioned already countless times in this and the construction thread, it's not an extreme ride, and never was advertised as so. I'm amused by the people who feel let down by the ride.
  10. Thoughts: It's extremely unlikely this will be anything other than DC themed, considering the location. Upcoming DC movies in order until 2020: Wonder Woman, Justice League (Part 1), The Flash, Aquaman, Shazam, Justice League (Part 2), Cyborg. Sure the DC rides are comic based, not movie or tv based, but I expect it to be from one of the above, unless this ride is a Villain, with entrance from the DC Villains area. Wondering if the size of the footprint have turned people off considering Mack building an extended/unique spinner such as Cobra's Curse. Are people not giving a second Mack elevator in MW a consideration? Guess we're thinking of a longer train.. Cyborg themed spinner? (I'm just posting this so rappa can have a laugh.)
  11. ...to be clear, the Beta will start for anyone who's pre-bought, be it Early Bird or Thrillseeker. The full game goes live just one week later.
  12. This isn't a P-plater's dinged-up car we're talking about here. If any of a coaster's poles is damaged the ride is taken offline until it's certified safe again by the park, manufacturer and probably local authorities. I wouldn't be surprised if they replace the whole thing as a precaution, which would involve the track being dismantled in the area the pole supports. ...but we're tangenting here.
  13. I've been watching Uthris' Renaissance Fair and Sivarret's Fantasy Valley (especially the Asian area, as the game has no Asian theme yet!).
  14. Can you provide more information please? Where did this come to you from? "From Mack" - they made the rumour up?
  15. That Storm pic is great - the Adults are the most scared.
  16. I think so. What element is in Mack's repertoire regarding dive loops, hammerheads or Immelmanns? I see the out-and-back nature of this coaster now. Any chance it'll go over the swamp near GL?
  17. Be patient Ryande - people will post pics as they take them. Us asking won't suddenly remind them to post them.
  18. Hulk's first half is awesome, the inclined launch powerful and well themed. I mean, it is my avatar. From memory someone on here has ridden it 40 times...? Just to throw the Joker card into the mix, dueling coasters have been ruled out, right? /S
  19. Yeah I'm a big Star Wars fan, and know a few cosplayers who do it every year, but have never been to the event. Maybe next year. Also, if people are ashholes on this forum and are annoying you, remember: http://www.parkz.com.au/forums/ignore/
  20. I think some people in this thread are getting the Big Brother House and "Eviction" Stage/Auditorium mixed up. They're separated by a few hundred metres. External developments are apparently going to resume the BB House site. The Stage/Auditorium site is land that DW can demolish and either extend Gold Rush, or add a new themed area into.
  21. So the construction thread comments about the floor not dropping (from abundance of bodies) may still be correct?
  22. ...how about an announcement of an announcement date?
