  1. Must be really big if closed for 2 years. That is a long time to keep the ride closed IMO. It will be sad if I can't ride it in 2025 (planning to go in January) but at least I have got the credit in 2022.
  2. Not too sure. Project Zero at Gumbuya is considered a new credit but that may be because the ride was fully refurbished with a new colour and theme. Also that it was relocated 1,000 km not 900m. Maybe up to RCDB?
  3. I agree, would've been good for a "Superman vs. Batman" kind of thing. I feel like there could be a better place Surfrider is relocated (WoO would be great) but I guess it is all but confirmed it will go there.
  4. Lets take a quick look at the scores and what I can say is ouch for EFM/KFF. 6-0 for TNT. I am putting bets on TNT winning and KFF turned into paperclips. Remember you have until Thursday to vote. Some advice: You will really enjoy MW's clone of TNT when it comes in 2024, it is very fast and intense for a family coaster and even goes on a 90 degree coming out of the tunnel, in which even DCR and Superman don't go above that at all. I would recommend not skipping it as it is awesome.
  5. At least there will be a lot of new attractions coming through the next 2 years that will help the capacity. IIRC Last September at one point DCR, GL, JF, WWF, Looney Carousel, Scooby and Looney Splash Zone were closed which is nearly half of the park's rides.
  6. Yes please. It could also pave the way for other old wild mouses to be converted, as well as ground up hybrid mouses.
  7. Something that can be noted is that Movie World was "good enough" to inspire other parks to make attractions similar to the ones here. For example: Gremlins Adventure was also made at Movie Park Germany Main Street at Movie Park Germany is based off Main Street here Looney Tunes River Ride was recreated at Movie Park Germany Batman Adventure The Ride was recreated at Movie Park Germany/Parque Warner Madrid Police Academy Stunt Show was recreated at Six Flags Magic Mountain/Movie Park Germany/Parque Warner Madrid Wild Wild West was recreated as Rio Bravo at Parque Warner Madrid Movie Park Germany/Parque Warner Madrid were originally named Warner Bros. Movie World So other parks around the world must have taken note of us. Yes I know they don't now but it shows how we can be spotted on the international map, even know not as much as Disney/Universal.
  8. The closest I would say we have of a Universal park is Movie World. It may not be as big as them but we do have more coasters than Hollywood, Japan, Beijing and on-par with Singapore. When we get the SFC, Boomerang and Half Pipe we will have 8. IMO I can compare Movie World to Universal more than Disney.
  9. Thought I would start this up for fun. Each Saturday I list two rides from two different parks, and people vote what is best. Voting will close on Thursdays, and on Fridays the results are revealed. One ride is saved and one is turned into paperclips. For example, it could be Superman Escape v Steel Taipan one week. If ST wins it would be added to the list while Superman would be removed. Clones will be counted as one choice, not two. Also you do not need to have ridden the coaster to vote, but it would be good if you have. Let's start off with... TNT (Gumbuya World) vs. Kenny's Forest Flier (Dreamworld) In my opinion I would pick TNT. It is actually really fun and intense for a family coaster and I am glad Movie World is getting a clone. Also it goes fast the whole length of the ride while KFF seems to go slow in the second half. Remember to put results in by Thursday.
  10. It will be sad if it closes permanently. It is the 2nd oldest operating coaster in Australia (oldest is Scenic Railway at LPM) and will bring the coaster count to 3.
  11. In my opinion, I feel like the rebranded Surfrider and Marvin will open on the same day. IMO I feel like they will be ready at the same time so if they are, why not open them on the same day?
  12. Good to see Pandanonium get a repaint. Looks good with the sea theme IMO.
  13. Based on that, it seems Play School Wheel will be relocated from ABC Kids World but the others wont. My guess is Soaring Swing, Candy Flier, BIP Fun Maze, TeaCups and Big Red Boat will be going.
  14. I am guessing it will be themed to DC. If not it will stick out like a sore thumb compared to DCR, Superman, Batwing, GL and JL. Maybe Aquaman as a theme as a new film as a new film is coming out this year, is well known and doesn't have an attraction yet. Maybe use the things they have from Aquaman the Exhibition if they still have them as theming? Overall an exciting two years for the park with the new Marvin ride (first ride in Kids WB in 8yrs) Scooby refurb, WoO and now this. Also exciting for Dreamworld with their expansions too. Planning to go in 2025 (I live in Victoria)
  15. It would be great to see the SFC 450 trains on KFF. The only thing would be instead of vest bars it would be a lap bar.
  16. It is even sadder that we only have 6 inverting coasters in the whole country and we will not be getting more anytime soon.
  17. I agree. Surfrider's queue path is tiny anyway. Doesn't have to be massive, the queue wasn't that big anyway.
  18. My guess is it will be either 1, 4 or 7. I'm hoping it goes to 7, and if it does my guess is it will not be getting a retheme as Spongebob, Storm and Jet Rescue all are blue so it will fit in.
  19. It seems that “Belinda’s Tree House” will now be changed to be “Belinda’s Ball Pit” according to the website. The temporary name currently is “Dreamworld Ball Pit”. @themagician, will Puss and Boots + Gingy be staying or removed? There would be no room for the new BRB coaster if everything is staying, so I am assuming one, if not both will be removed.
  20. Yes I know many people who rode it multiple times. I rode 3 times and my sister 5. TNT had more queues however but Mining Race Coaster is basically dead.
  21. Project Zero is the only coaster in Aus to reach 5Gs and Rebel is also tied with SX360 at Aussie World as the only spin-and-spews to reach 5Gs.
  22. Yes when the gondola spins freely it is very intense and everyone coming down to ride the new coasters should try it out IMO. Gumbuya actually have broke some records in terms of G-Force with Project Zero being the only coaster with 5Gs and Rebel also being the only spin-n-spew gyro swing with 5Gs. I can see why it is 14+ to ride. And the Project Zero actually gets queues unlike Buzzsaw. Not as big as TNT/waterslides but bigger than the flats. Mining Race Coaster gets hardly any queues since TNT/PZ opened. Good ride for the park with it also being the second tallest and fastest coaster in Australia, and only one of two coasters to reach 150ft (the other being DCR)
  23. You should as most states are back at school. Unfortunately you wont be able to ride Scooby but it will be good to go before Doomsday/Superman/Batwing closes.
  24. Yes it is really great. I went on the Rebel when I went a week ago and I can tell you it is one of the most intense flat rides in Australia.
