  1. Certainly much more chance of this than a Disney or Universal park!
  2. I am just going in gut feeling here and NO actuall hard info but I'd be surprised if the attraction is open at the start of September. But you never know!
  3. Oh the hilarity! I think my favorite part was the scooby video in the first one.
  4. Amazing what a difference a few days makes or crowds! I was at the park with the family on Saturday and it was pretty busy but the HSD show was pretty well flawless (apart from reverse car missing). You did well to find a manager still responsive for all 3 parks with the business split several years back.
  5. I seem to recall reading a while back that Disney cut this staff member to cut costs and it was now much easier for the more candid photos to slip through.
  6. To be fair anyone going to the park yesterday had to be kidding themselves if they didn't think it would be awful. Terrible weather all week (and holidays) and then the sun comes out and every man and his dog (and his family) would be heading down before their holiday ended. Added to that the weather was not meant to fine up yesterday so the park probably had not planned for this big attendance.
  7. It's really not an option to change the station as its a built structure from the past but the thing with Disney's loading is mostly to do with station an vehicle design and not so much about staff... Your typical Disney station has people entering from above and lets then see several loading cycles before their turn, so they already know what to do. Then pretty much all Disney ride vehicles are a simple design, easy to load. Sadly that means you probably will never see a Disney ride with a suspended coaster design, and likewise any rides like this will always are longer to load than a Disney people eater.
  8. Holey shit, parkz having a sense of humor!
  9. Actually I disagree to an extent... I think the audio (when it's working properly and in sync) does actually add to GL as the ride is relatively slow and the audio track actually does enhance the experience. Likewise California Screaming has a great sound track and whilst not on board the audio on big thunder mountain also improves the ride. But on Arkhan being an intense face paced compact ride with as you said a great rush of wind and roar of the train I doubt the audio will make a huge differenc.
  10. Everything is cooler with Blue LEDs
  11. Good pickup. Don't know what I was thinking when I wrote that!
  12. Actually that wouldn't work for the large logo at all. The brightness of the sign would never be enough I covered in Perspex. Each individual LED in that sign has its own protective 'hood' to shade it from the sun and that's how it is so bright. It's actually based on LED video screen technology just without the red and blue LEDs to complete the image. I'm certain the minor glitches in the sign will be solved permanently very soon
  13. What is it with everyone solving the parks problems with a trip to bunnings???
  14. No difference in the back? I found the back to be less than half the ride experience you got in the front.
  15. Haha I'll pay that "you're all wrong" comment. After my own experience and all these terrific reviews I'm still amazed at just how transformed this ride is. Such praise to all those involved in the design. And yes bugs are bugs, but they will be worked out no doubt.
  16. Those new seats are built like a brick shithouse! Check out the welds on the frames, they aren't going anywhere
  17. Forget looks, the Kumbak trains win all over the Vekoma ones for comfort with no upper body restraint. Plus I think the industrial look of the Kumbak train works well with the theme here.
  18. To be fair, we don't even know this guy isn't allowed to share that information. There is always a degree of information employees are allowed to tell guests to satisfy their curiosity. It's not like any of that information is really company secrets. I'm starting to get a bit annoyed at your posts One Day Holiday basically talking down other members and coming off all authoritative in your information when really you are just going on your own assumptions.
  19. Yes they have quite an extensive art department with a very talented team of graphic artists. They produce anything from ride signage to brochures, theming designs and even screen content for the Outback Spectacular. All in house. My apologies One Day, you clearly have a superior knowledge of the inner workings here than I.
  20. Who said the maps are for 5 months? The maps change all the time. The park has a very talented art department and I'm sure the maps will be updated soon. It actually takes a fair amount of time from completing the artwork until a map is in a guests hand.
  21. In the early days you'd visit a mocked up set and usually they get some guests involved there too.
  22. I don't think that's a mistake about the buttons in the station. It's easy (as I found) for the staps to be too tight on the rider, so allowing the buttons to loosen the strap makes it easy for the Ops to alter them for you when checking if they are uncomfortable. Soon as the trains leaves the station the straps are going to lock anyway.
  23. And many other rides also at many parks. The entrance sign and maps should only say AA because thats what it is. The theme is that Joker has taken over and this is what he is doing to you. It wouldnt have that on the sigh out front now would it.
  24. Agreed Are you an IP Lawyer Cruiseshipfan? No? Then just drop it. Any further postings on the matter will be deleted.
  25. Yes and most all FP lines still have a wait associated with them. Some can be 20 odd minutes
