Sounds like the PLC programming is not right and the wheels aren't matching the speed of the gondola so there is friction every time they connect.

There have been/are some issues with Supermanat at present (or at least my last update yesterday). I can say that they have nothing to do with safety in any way and they are working hard to get the ride up. This problem is a tricky one though as far as I know.

The train was once the 'Hogwartz Express' when the show building there was used for the Harry Potter experience many years ago. It has remained there ever since.

Well I don't think 'who is responsible' for the altercation comes into it. These people attended a family orientated fun event with a concealed weapon. In my opinion they should be locked up just for that, what possibly justification can you have for carrying such an item to the show? What I think is sad is at the end of the day the Royal is a bloody agricultural show and rides are just a side entertainment offering, I think it's a shame that these type of people are there at all when to them it's just may as well be a local carnival.

As far as impressive YES, LMA was definitely that, it had some great stunts, some cool toys and of course what we all one one hell of a big explosion... BUT As a 'show' and piece of entertainment it well... SUCKED. Had no flow, no 'charm' and most of all definitely no story. PA has all of these and that is what will keep you coming back time after time.

Actually you are... you may not want to and that's fine but as an independent citizen not affiliated in any way or covered by an agreement with the ride operator you are free to say what you like. You are also not crossing any legal ground as you would simply be naming the location that something happened not implicating anyone's liability over the incident. Of course I'm not asking you to tell us anything you don't want to, just know you are safe if you do so. It's very different if say it was something that happened at work because we have very strict policies on disclosure, but that's not the case here.

This is very similar to the situation at Alton Towers in England where the world class park is fed and serviced by a country lane. I can only hope for the parks sake that the locals are smart about this is help rather than hinder the parks development, it will only mean good things for their local economy.

I still remember the first time we ever went to movieworld... The studio tour then was actually really great... visiting some stuff around the site, being taken onto a mock up set and all that jazz. Then you headed over to the movie magic section which was done really well too. Sadly over the years production in the studio died down, eventually the tram tour was cut and then the movie magic section got really really tired. The problem with the studios is they are so up and down with work. Like a tour now there wouldn't be much to see but not that long ago there were several MAJOR projects on the go back to back and heaps to see. It's very hard to keep an attraction going when nothing is shooting. Universal get away with it because of all the 'ride' elements in their tour.

I would be fine if we got the Vekoma version... it ROCKED! All I've heard from people is that MotoCoaster sucks so I wouldn't be putting up much of a fuss at all if we were to get a Vekoma offering.

Comparable to Disneyland? I really don't see how that works given that Disneyland is all about fantasy and FAKE and Australia Zoo is about real live animals. I also don't see how an attraction plus a hotel equals Disneyland. And apart from all that NO WHERE in the world is comparable to Disneyland, the original Disneyland will forever and always be a unique place may be replicated but never copied. Those that have been there will no the place has a certain feel and 'magic' about it that simply can't be duplicated.

On sunday the final room was completely dark and without fog. Also there was no haze or the newly added water mist haze in the main room.

Ok well a while back they were talking about putting in a coaster. This support would make sense because obviously the building itself is not going to be able to support the rides structure so supports like this spanning the building would be required. HOWEVER, I was informed yesterday they are actually expanding the main theatre space to accommodate more seating and this is what this structure is for. Sorry to disappoint everyone.

It will be special, my guess is it will be some sort of staff raffle for tickets plus they will quite possibly invite people back who have been a big part of it in the past years. Timing is about right +/- a few days so I guess we'll see the place go 'dark' for a good 6 months to build the new show. Just out of interest the new show will not be called Hot Wheels. I for one hope I can go to that last show, that thing is an institution and I will be very sad to see it go. The new show will have huge shoes to fill, lets hope its got some big feet.

Could Dracula's on the Gold Coast actually be getting the coaster that was talked about so long ago? Driving past yesterday we noticed a very large piece of black support trussing has been constructed over the roof which looks to have flanges ready to accept track. Could this be the start of new construction?

hahaha yes if a ride op tells you then it MUST be true To be honest, they rarely tell people who will so freely tell the GP all of the real information as to what is happening so you must take what front line staff tell you with a grain of salt sometimes.

I don't believe the CA version uses a self propelled system as you can clearly see a drive chain moving the rider cabin in and out of the load/unload at floor level...

Hey that's a good point about the heat Nev, I never even thought about that. For whoever said we've never had a bad season in terms of rain then clearly you're forgetting the past 2 months, this summer season was BAD for the parks. One thing worth thinking about as was mentioned to me is that now during rain people flee to the shops, thus increasing retail revenue. Once they no longer have to do this I think we'd likely see a hit to retail takings on rainy days... What do you think Nev, I say they just go and build a shorter version of the Freemont Street roof, if you're going to have a big ole roof over main street, it may as well be cool.

I think we'll likely find that it is in fact bigger than that picture and that it's as much a family coaster as Mick Dohan is a thrill ride... if you catch my drift

Well that roof looks pretty good in my opinion but VERY expensive. I'm worried that ours could be a cheaper option and you know, no sunlight means no trees so that would be a shame given main street looks so pretty as it is all landscaped.

Ride will be major. I got all the details from the man himself and whilst of course I'd be shot and fired for posting what I was told... I think everyone here will be really happy and it should certainly shut up the Seaworld is boring crowd. I've been hearing rumours from people that SW isn't getting hippos anymore, I don't know if there is any truth in that though.
