  1. The green building is west burgers and the one below it is toilets. I think your scale is all out with what fits in that space there. Movie World doesn't need another 'land' it needs an entire 15-20mil spent on a new MAJOR attraction.
  2. Looks to be meefog in which case it's very cheap to run and maintain. Only downside is rust but as these are built to be outside I doubt that would be a problem.
  3. Batman the Ride was fantastic in it's original incarnation and really is a good example of the Movie World attractions of old. However I agree that in the state it was in at the end JL is a far superior replacement.
  4. I'm gonna wait until the park actually announce the attraction and we know what it is before criticizing... The cars could just be theming after all
  5. Being one of the best executed additions to the park IMO in recent times Id be hesitant to throw resources at changing Village Bean. Time could be better utilised on so many other areas of the park. I'm with joz. Relocate Boot Hill down to WWF area and target the whole original western section of the park for a major makeover including repurposing or demolishion of the show stage. The fright nights maze could easily go back into the tent on the slab and if thought out in advance the new Boot Hill could be designed to allow it to work as a scare zone also.
  6. Disneyland, the greatest theme park in the world is pretty much built around and all about 'outdated' films and shows. Funnily enough, way back in the day there was concept art for a mad max roller coaster when the park first opened. I've actually always thought something like a Vekoma Mad house themed really well as a major attraction (like Hex at Alton) into the western area, probably using the show stage building.
  7. Is this the place is South West Sydney? I'd actually like to see anything on the original original park. With the water slides, giant slide, boat ride, train, etc. Always intrigued me
  8. No, really just lack of proper maintenance and proper money spent on it. It's sister coaster goes right up.
  9. It opened in 1988 with the massive rebranding as a 'theme park'. Was in liquidation within a year!
  10. I called it a monorail because they did. The first thing even me in my young age and my dad commented was that it had two rails. It also ran on diesel. The creature in the lake was a bunyip. There were other half cooked animatronics along the route too. We first went only a couple of years after it opened and already nothing worked at the 'space station' and from memory much of the food court place was closed too. The station was the building where this theatre thing they have is. The reason it's so long is that's where the train pulled up. You watched a pre show and then doors on the other side opened to board the train. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eDtv-lMLt_g
  11. I really wish if they are going to expand there they at least either open the existing attractions or demolish them. It really looks a right shanty town there with all these things that have signage and you can see but are never open. Do they still have the monorail?
  12. I also felt like I would die on free fall at SFMM, was just a scary POS.
  13. Oh Dreamworld especially. The Dreamworld I remember from my childhood was a fantastic park.
  14. For thrills it has to be Dreamworld. Movie World really has 2 thrill rides at best, and one is a bloody SLC. Superman may be the best ride in the country but that's a lot to use up your whole day just for that.
  15. I do indeed have that 'missing' track. If someone wants it for some sort of wonderland collection PM me about it.
  16. Woah ease up buddy it's amazing enough that Mark listens on here. Let's give them one little request at a time hey
  17. I for one am a bit against anyone other than Universal or Disney doing on board coaster audio because nobody else has the budget or know how to impliment it well and the commitment to maintain it properly.
  18. Before even watching the video I knew the track you'd be talking about. I remember it from last year and recognized it straight away as from wonderland. I think I have a copy somewhere in my archives from years ago, it's definitely production music. Private message me about it.
  19. Oh my god for the sanity of us all. USE PUNCTUATION!
  20. I dunno, an indoor wave pool at an aquatic centre doesn't strike competition to me. If you were to build an actual surfable wave pool (ie water dump system not moving wall) you could have something cool and unique.
