  1. The beauty of Movie world is the Indian theme of mystery lodge would fit into western town perfectly, without any change. And at a million bucks it's very cheap! I also agree a soarin ride in the showstage area would be a PERFECT attraction for movie world.
  2. I thought Mystery Lodge was actually incredibly well done. It's not your heart stopping thrill ride granted, but it's a pretty damn good little show that you don't expect to be there.
  3. I waited 3 HOURS to get on X (the original) and then the next visit another 2 HOURS, but you don't travel to the other side of the world and then pass up on a one of a kind ride. Other than that probably 80 minutes to ride splash mountain on one visit.
  4. Not even going to answer that given how many times that question has already been answered.
  5. It looks that way but it's just the perspective. It's more in line with the height of the blue supports for the Superman Top Hat. It certainly does look impressive though.
  6. I had to quote this whole post because serious WHAT EVENT WERE YOU AT? In no way is this years event toned DOWN from 2 years ago, it's the complete opposite. This is in no way a family friendly event and the actors and entertainment reflects this. I have attended fright nights for the last several years and this year is definitely the most adult so far and the amount of people I saw running screaming on main street says to me there are plenty of actors. I'm not sure what you are expecting but this is exactly like the number 1 halloween event which is Universal in Orlando. Except there you have more than 1 hour waits for EVERY maze all night. I think the mistake people make is they hit the mazes first and then miss out on time for the rides they want to see. The event runs till 11 pm so why not do the mazes after the rides shut? I know I cannot fit everything I would want to do at the event in one night, so maybe your're missing some of what it has to offer.
  7. So it works by sensors installed all through the ride/que? How about just use the disney system which beeps at the front of the line attendant telling them to issue a card to a guest, which they carry through the que, and hand in at the end where it's swiped. Ride time updates which goes through to the stanby/fastpass system and all through the park? To be honest, this won't get installed. Installing equipment in a theme park/ride requires a lot of regulations and approvals.
  8. Any site that advertises Fright Nights is OK with me But seriously, some constructive criticism is that success is all about point of difference. It's no different than 2 theme parks installing the same ride, you need a point of difference. Theme park review is successful because its point of difference is that it's not just about hard core theme park nerdism, it's fun. Parkz is much the same, make your site stand out. This is why I like the Thrill History facebook page, it's different and thus is interesting.
  9. I agree on the pricing also. As for Dave, nice when a new member seems to actually get the spirit of what Parkz is all about!
  10. It works/worked well. The new soundtrack for this parade also works great IMO, it's a really solid parade offering for the special event.
  11. Careful Dave, don't try and take on the multi national superpower corporation that is the might Outsiders... very appropriate name that one
  12. It read to me as the woman was recounting what he said, or did I read wrong? Given that's one of the highest responsibility roles at the park I would say they are very equipped to speak to the media.
  13. ^ It's s very simple maze concept but extremely effective!
  14. See she completely lost me with her "people are killed all the time" line. Every death us too much. After each fatility steps are always taken to make sure they don't happen again. The Big Thunder death saw a change to procedures and maintenance at Disney. The ejection deaths of overweight people saw a redesign of intamins restraints, and changes to existing rides. The solution to stop amputees falling out is probably to stop the amputees riding. It's no different, it's just unfortunate that she is affected.
  15. Hope everyone enjoys the preview tomorrow and the event works out a win for the park and you guys. Should result in more for the future.
  16. Standby for a new song to be stuck in your head for eternity!
  17. This parkz member has nothing to do with the movie world parade.
  18. I'm definitely unbiassed on this one but yes, I do like.
  19. And you never know what other luck you might have either Having said that obviously this is a PREVIEW event so attendees should be prepared that its a whole 2 weeks out from the event so there may be many finishing touches left to add around the place...
  20. I think you guys will like the parade
  21. LOL only just read your sig Clearly not the Gateway
  22. What time does dreamworlds noise curfew get lifted? They wouldn't be able to put people onto the ride till then.
