  1. I'm in America at the moment, so no, I meant there was a preview about 2 hours before I posted
  2. Well there was a preview tonight for a select few people who had completed major parts of the puzzle and the ride will be announced to the public tomorrow at mid day. The coaster will be an Intamin coaster, feature a vertical lift hill as well as 6 inversions. It seems to be similar in style to Maverick, although with no launches.

  6. The hostel I have been staying at hasn't had internet, so I haven't known about the comp. I am working on it as we speak. Hopefully I can knock something up!

Hey T-bone - and all others that may have noticed this - the SE logo is actually on the side of the launch room, as it is in real life, however because of the shadows that are cast by the simulator you cant see it. I'll eventually work out an environment to go with the re-creation that does show off any special touches that have been added (such as the logo). It is actually a texture on a 3D model, and no, jpg images cannot be added directly to NL files (as far as I am aware or have seen anyway ) I have also worked on the car crash scene and have removed that kink, however I am still not quite happy with how the track is sitting and I have to re-do much of the 3D tunnels to accommodate the modified track, so I will not upload an updated version till I have the 3D work complete. I have also been working on re-scaling the track so that it is the actual length as indicated by the Movieworld website. Gazza your idea of saving the track as an element worked wonderfully! I just have to re-jig the track a bit so the forces are all in check! I have also tried to make the trains yellow (how could I forget that?) however for some reason the simulator still renders the car as red....maybe I will have to give the trains a custom texture? As time goes on I will also make custom supports, however for the time being I am lazy and am going to stick with pre-made ones - except for the top hat of course!   10. Hey all, Here is my recreation of Superman. You will need to copy the folder called "Superman" in to your the "objects" folder inside the "NoLimits" folder, as well as putting the Superman track file in your "tracks" folder. I will be packaging this file so all you have to do is follow the prompts, but my windows computer is being stupid at the moment and wont do it. I will update this post when it has been packaged. If you don't know what I mean with the files, feel free to PM me and I will help you as much as I can. The track is about 80m longer than Movieworlds stats, but I believe that they may just be talking about the track after the launch (wich is aprox the right length to be what they are talking about.) Here we go with the stats! Length: 842.8m Height: 40m Ride Time: 1 min 36 seconds (from restraints down to restraints up) High Speed: 103 km Launch Speed: 100 km Launch Force: 4 G's If you spot any inaccuracies, please feel free to let me know about them and I will try and fix them! When this track is updated I will be including more detail on the internal sections of track, as well as outsude the building, but for now my 3D modeling skills arent quite up to scratch for work like that Don't forget, comments of any kind are always appreciated!   12. *Shakes fist at show techs* I have just finished the first run on my latest show, and have another run in a few weeks...I will be overseas for this run so I really hope no one changes anything! First show that I wont have been to that I have designed/programmed....eep! And yes, I agree that the kiddies like colour etc, but when the show has been running for how many weeks now, and the techs are still getting cues wrong....well, I don't know what I can say!

  15. But it is much easier to move a mirror weighing 100g compared to a head weighing upto 30kgs.....in the case of the blue streak, I dont think it would matter if it was slightly distorted because of the small amount of time its seen.....
  16. Wouldnt a moving mirror unit (such as the Intellabeam ) be able to move the 'blue streak' accross the wall a lot faster than a moving head unit??
  17. And an Intellabeam is a moving mirror fixture.....The iSpot is a moving head.....very different fixtures!
  18. And PayPal can withdraw funds directly from ANY Australian bank account now. Granted it does take a while to process, but it still gets the money where it needs to be without using a credit card.

  20. With todays technology, the original actors dont (usually) have to leave a major city to be able to record more vocals for another attraction (or 3D movie). The biggest issue I can see would be the amount they could want to be paid to be involved. But then again, they could love the idea and record more dialogue for little to no fees. I would love to see this as maybe an attraction both at Movieworld and Sea World, I believe that it would be good to have the parks "tie in" with each other, other than by being owned by the same company...

  22. The vortex effect at the end of Scooby Doo is created by a Laser, not by a simple light with coloured gel and a gobo...
  23. From memory I think it was stage 6....drove past it the day after the fire and it was still smoking LOL

There was also a Simpsons "show" where some cool live 3D animation stuff was shown as well as an eposode of the simpsons that was made only for Fox studios (it was a variation of the eposode where Bart rings Downunder to see if the water really does go down the toilet the other way). And I remember one of the characters in the corney show was called Leonardo DeKangaroo
