  1. Have a look at the last car. It's higher in the 2nd pic. Also if you have a look at the nose. In the 1st pic it's a bit behind the 2nd pic. They are clearly not the same.
  2. The pics are ok but there to big to actually look at them. Not very good if your on dial up. Good thing i aint. Maybe edit your post so you can crop the pics. It'll be better if the pics were smaller or @least make them fit the screen. Other than that the pics are ok.
  3. Great pics esp the last one. Would have been great if SE was on the top hat though. The WWF pic is awesome.
  4. Sorry to sound like an idiot, But what idiot would take a video camera on a ride that goes upside down? Last year i bought a new sony video camera that had infra camera. So i took it on the scooby Doo ride to film it. The footage didn't turn out well as the infra red wasn't very strong. I've also filmed Wild West falls, The Duck dodgers (Daffy Duck) and the Loony Tunes river ride. My point is why take a camera on an upside down ride?
  5. As usual i'll be @ DW just b4 an attraction opens. It happended last year when i went up 1 week b4 wiggles world. I hope the new ride will be awesome, and gazza you have great ideas there. It'd be cool to have a masterblaster ride.
  6. It's not totally about MW or Warner Bros but it's close enough. Hollywood banks on Aussie film industry Friday Apr 21 14:46 AEST The Australian film industry, riding on the back of Superman, Julia Roberts and Oprah Winfrey, will help inject about a billion box office dollars into Hollywood's coffers in coming months. Among the blockbuster films Hollywood studios will release in 2006, four, including Superman Returns and Charlotte's Web, were made in Australia. The quality productions confirm Australia as a favourite shoot destination for Hollywood studios and their $US100 million-plus ($A136 million) productions. Australia also has a track record of making highly-profitable Hollywood films - ensuring studios return to make films downunder. Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, shot at Sydney's Fox Studios, was the second highest-grossing film in 2005, collecting $US850 million ($A1.15 billion) worldwide, just behind the UK-made Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire's $US892 million ($A1.21 billion). Superman Returns, also made in Australia and set for worldwide release on June 29, is a frontrunner to be king of the global box office in 2006. "Without question, Superman Returns certainly has the potential to be one of the biggest grossing films of 2006," Paul Dergarabedian, the president of Hollywood-based box office tracker, Exhibitor Relations, told AAP. The studio behind Superman Returns, Warner Bros, and the Australian film industry have plenty riding on the superhero film being a success. Superman Returns reportedly cost $US250 million ($A339.7 million), making it one of the most expensive films ever made, but if it cashes in at the box office it will resurrect the Superman franchise and lead to profitable sequels just like Spider-Man. The two Spider-Man films, starring Tobey Maguire, so far have earned $US1.6 billion ($A2.17 billion) for rival studio, Sony Pictures, at the box office alone. Warner Bros successfully relaunched its Batman franchise last year with Batman Begins, which made $US370 million ($A502.75 million) at the global box office. Ausfilm's LA-based film commissioner, Tracey Montgomery, said early buzz indicated Superman Returns would be a box office winner. "I had lunch today at Warner Bros, and they are very excited about it," Montgomery said. Charlotte's Web, starring Dakota Fanning and with Roberts, Winfrey, Robert Redford and John Cleese providing the voices for some of the classic novel's animal characters, is also shaping up as a box office winner. The film was made in Melbourne and rural Victoria last year. "Family films generally do well and Charlotte's Web is a huge title," Dergarabedian said. Another Hollywood-funded family film made in Australia is the George Miller-directed animated movie Happy Feet. With the voices supplied by Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman and Robin Williams, the film about a group of singing penguins will also likely be one of the hits of 2006. The other major Australian-made Hollywood project is the action film Ghost Rider, starring Nicolas Cage and based on the popular comic book of the same name. This film, too, was made in Victoria. Hollywood continues to eye Australia as a film-making destination. Montgomery's office in LA is currently in talks with Hollywood studios about 27 potential feature films being made in Australia. There are also 30 potential independent films, 15 TV dramas and 15 European-backed projects also looking at Australia. Hollywood producer Rob Marsala, who made the small budget comedy-drama 48 Shades in Brisbane last year, said the Queensland capital was the perfect place to shoot the project. The film is based on the award-winning novel by Brisbane author Nick Earls. Marsala said the production was overwhelmed with support from the Queensland government and locals. 48 Shades will be released in Australian cinemas in August, then internationally. "There were so many advantages to shooting in Brisbane," Marsala said. "Firstly, the Pacific Film and Television Commission were behind us from the outset and the local Brisbane community was so supportive. "We had everyone from Tourism Queensland, Suncorp Stadium, Queensland University of Technology and Brisbane Boys College help us out so we were able to get amazing production values on our budget." ©AAP 2006

  9. I know it's not roller coaster news but thought i'd post it anyway. http://news2005.syd.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=94657 Terminator could be heading Down Under Thursday Apr 6 11:24 AEST With or without Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Terminator could be heading to Australia. Hollywood producer Andy Vajna says Terminator 4 could be shot on the Gold Coast. "We were thinking about Australia. We have been looking at the Warner Bros Studios down there but it is early days," Vajna told AAP from the set of his current film, Children of Glory, in Hungary. "That would be probably early next year." The Terminator was released in 1984 and was the breakthrough role for former bodybuilder Schwarzenegger. Terminator 2: Judgment Day came out in 1991, followed by Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines in 2003. The films looked at the ethical implications of machine intelligence as well as what it means to be truly human. US company Warner Bros has slated Terminator 4 for a late 2007 release. The script has been written by John Brancato and Michael Ferris, who have penned screenplays for Catwoman, Femme Fatale and The Net. "We have the script ready and we are now looking for a director and figuring out what the next step is," said Vajna. Little else is known about the project, and original Terminator Arnold Schwarzenegger, now governor of California, is yet to commit to the project. If he does, it won't be in the title role, says Vajna. "We would like Arnie in it as a cameo," said Vajna, who produced the Terminator 3. "We want to go on with the Terminator and turn it into a real sci-fi picture and there is a very interesting role for Arnold if he decides he wants to do it. "But I am not sure where he is with his politics and all that, we will see." If Terminator 4 does come to Australia, it will provide a welcome boost to the local movie industry. Vajna's film credits include the Die Hard movies, The Scarlet Letter, Judge Dredd, Medicine Man, Basic Instinct 2, Nixon and Evita. He is yet to work in Australia but his current film, Children of Glory, has a strong Australian connection. The film tells of a bitter battle in the pool between the Hungarian and Russian water polo teams at the Melbourne 1956 Olympic Games. It is being shot in Hungary in Hungarian and will be released internationally with subtitles, starring Kata Dobo and Ivan Fenyo. "Even though the games took place in Australia and it will feel like Australia, it is being shot in Hungary," he said. "The revolution is clearly one of the most important moments in Hungarian history and of course this match in Melbourne is of historical value." Vajna said many of the original Hungarian water polo team of 1956 would return to Australia in December to mark the 50th anniversary of the games. ©AAP 2006

  11. Sorry got no tips but how did you score an interview?
  12. At DW on the Eureka Mine Ride the height bar is just before you board the ride not at the start of the que. So to see if your tall enough you have to push past ppl then climb up the stairs just to check your height.
  13. Before SE arrived i could carry my bum bag on every ride except LW. Now that MW has SE i'm now forced to purchase a locker for $7.00. (all day) I don't have a car. What's the point in paying for the SE lockers if i'm going to be there all day?
  14. Try this http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MOVIEWORLD-DISCOUNT...1QQcmdZViewItem I have a "Adults @ kids prices voucher for Dreamworld" You must be a QLD Resident though.
  15. OMG i must have done that like 4 times and never got caught once. I couldn't be bothered walking all the way around.
  16. I've just returned from the GC and they had 1 train going the whole time i was there. It was bloody pathetic the line up was shocking. After waiting 45mins my sisters were next then it broke down. I complained about running 1 train and the lady said that they run 1 train to cut costs. Well MW if you can afford 12mil for a ride you can afford to run 2 trains. Anyways SE is a great ride and you get good air time. The front row rocks. Just one more thing. what are they doing at China Town between Scooby and Lethal? That area was blocked off so we had to walk right around.
  17. I'm getting very excited as this time tomorow i'll be on SE. I just hope that my Virginblue plane lands ontime. SE here i come.
  18. OMG i loved that show. Would be really cool if it was back on. If c9 can bring back Family Feud them i'm sure someone can bring back It's a Knockout. The first FNL will be on c10 at 7:30 PM on Friday 17th Feb. It goes for 90 mins.
  19. I never received any vouchers every 4 months? But then again maybe it's because i live in Melbourne. I totally agree with the discount food, bev and lockers. There a really no benefits of getting a 12 month pass when comparing it to DW. BTW i'll be renewing my pass on 23rd Feb.

The Batmobile, an integral part of the legend of Batman, is a design hybrid of a Humvee and a Lamborghini that combines the functionality of a tank and the finesse of a sports car. In the past the Batmobile has been presented as a contemporary vehicle, but with a slight sense of exaggeration and extremity to it. This new Batmobile is no different although a little more extreme.
