  1. I already saw it on Rove with that girl. Well.... footage of that whole thing will be up soon.
  2. Bussy's Avatar: 8/10 - had a soft spot for magic school bus, damn nerd... 10/10 for that signature, that really fizzles ma schnizlle, in short.... TOUCHDOWN!!!
  3. Does anyone have video footage of the news reporter?
  4. Crowds sucked butt. I don't think that people paying $60 want to wait for 5 second's worth of freefall on the Giant Drop for 3 hours because one side is malfunctioning and the other has only six seats working. Tower Of Terror - I'm sorry but I've lost all respect for the Tower now. It used to be my favorite coaster, and 98 rides this year certainly defines that, but now, it is just so delapadated when it comes to themeing, and I don't want so stand in a old, smelly tunnel while they attend to reseting the computers due to an e-brake for half an hour. Cyclone - moving along..... WipeOut - I am probably also the Wipeout's biggest fan, but now, with all the bad noises that it makes, I would most probably never go on it for a long while. Am I missing something? All Dreamworld's rides are either not working or falling apart.... or hurt something terrible.... Why?

    My Coasters

Okay, here's some of the coasters I've been working on recently. Feel free to criticise, its kewl .....
  6. How cool would one of these running down the side just at the entrance of tiger island to the bumper cars.
  7. At rove. I just hope I don't see ANY members of roller-coaster on the claw on tuesday night (doesn't matter if you're a AAF guy though).
  8. Rabid wishes he could be there but he's a movie world man (shakes fist). Were you really brady? How did you get in?
  9. No, that's just Telstra with their laggy internet! Personally, I found that there has to be alot of fixing-up to be done before Rollercoaster tycoon 3d gets a decent vote. The coaster builder can get impossible, the graphics at certain points is deplorable, when hiring mechanics etc. you have to wait for the little pop-up to see what or who you're hiring, the fact that you can place benches in queue lines but no-one uses them, the list goes on....... (and on and on.....) I have bought everysingle coaster game (except for that crappy disney one) including ALL of the rct and rct2 expansions, and found that no-limits has the graphics and rct2 has the great part of the nitty gritty part of theme parks. For me RCT3 currently is an advanced Theme Park World, one of the other games I have, very average indeed.....
  10. Yeah, when one of the engineers went overseas to check out which model of gyro swing Dreamworld should purchase, he also had a browse at what coaster Dreamworld should look into. I had a bit of a guess game with him and a)It's not vekoma at this point in time b)it's not an intamin rocket coaster (damn) and c)there's a very, very slim chance it's going to be any sort of B&M ride. But there have been some confirmations into what is giong to be installed into the park over the next few financial years.
  11. Insert Twilight zone music here*. So, have they started the construction? Does this mean we can get some pictures? Too bad I get my license in say..... three years!
  12. I wish I could be Rove! I just had an idea of additional themeing for the claw for after Rove next tuesday.... Place speakers around the area warning people that... ...This area contains toxic wate and is contaminated, You must leave this building immediately, the city below is devastated...... I could go on, but having heard that several thousand times, I'd rather not, for everyone's sake....
  13. ahhhh, thanks for reminding me Pandora! It was about 5:30 in the afternoon (last monday) and as we were walking to the claw, this buggy with a police type light screamed up to the outside part of the central plaza is (the area where the catdog food shack is) and picked up a lady who just passed out onto the floor. Very surprising indeed. I have been talking to a lot of people lately who work at the park, and the first idea at the moment for TOT re-themeing is more tv screens. Now come on Dreamworld, that really is the quick way out. We need a re-doing or enhancement of themeing around the major rides. Its just sickening the vandelism etc. that has been done to the rides and what I find funny is people don't understand why people vandalise the rides in the first place. BECAUSE THEY'RE BORED! Surely not people like us (cough), but there a certainly people with short attention spans who will do anything to fill the time void. No ideas for themeing? You've read my many posts, now Dreamworld, take people from this site, who know what to do and have knowledge about this stuff, and apply it to your park! I understand why certain themeing objects are left the way they are, but you can't apply an excuse for lack of themeing for the whole park! I honestly send out an invitation to Dreamworld like what Rove is doing currently to our prime minister, I know you read these boards, so get on here, and give us an idea on what's happening. I dare you, PM us, or publicly post like we do. We want to get to know you. And you want input right? Save a few dollars in paying for people to do surverys and talk to us! We'll give you input for free.
  14. Oh come on Joz, has The Claw ejected anyone? Actually that would be kind of funny..... ahem, moving on. I think that as SFGAdv is a "theme" park, there will be alot more work done on the coaster to make it more presentable. Remember the claw when the parts were first being shipped in? Man, it looked so dodgy, but now, it is just such a hot ride. Let's hope that Tower Of Terror, GD, Cyclone, all the drawcard rides get a makeover, because they are all showing their age, even though they're still young in a sense.
  15. I think it is a great little park. The themeing is very decent on a lot of the rides, just needs a bit of touching up to make it better. And they are doing so, take their new entrance that's being constructed for example, that'll be nice.
  16. Okay, let's check up: -TOT was $16 mil. and GD was $12 million if it was a stand-alone free fall tower. -Guessing from my 98 rides this year on the TOT, the launch is about about two G's and propels to 100k/ph by the time you leave the station. Just letting you know that the maximum speed of the TOT is 160k/ph and that it currently goes about 154-156k/ph. Also, you may not realise it, about one k/ph or so can make all the difference especially on coasters like dragster. -The e-brake section of the track (that's the track behind the station) is approx. 15 metres or so, and the station is about 6-7 metres but these are only approximately, I can actually find some real numbers from Bob because he's so kewl. -The the height of the slope is approximately 15 metres high (from logic that is, drop height 100 metres and height 115 metres) but in order for that to work, you'd expirience about 6-7 G's, but that's just No-limits though, which remids me, 1.5 is now out and it's great, nolimitscoaster.de , go there. Anymore info is found at dreamworld.com.au or even here.
  17. It's actually on at 9pm, afterall, Rove Live is, well, live. checkout anything else at rove.com.au . Basically they'll get people in at 9pm, organise them, and get them ready for probably a 9:40pm start when rove goes to sit down at his desk and talks to corinne and Pete.
  18. I hope it's not going to have that "fresh butt" smell. Some of the seats already have crap marks the way it is.
  19. Mine doesn't work! I have downloaded it, and i double click on the file, and it comes up in task manager, but nothing appears on the screen. HHHEEELLLPPPP MEEE!
  20. Okay, I know some administration and engineers very well. PM me your complaints and I'll print them, and give them to even Stephen Gregg if he's around. And I know what guys have gone through the holidays. Yesterday included: -The WipeOut starting to make some very bad metal crunching noises. -Cyclone, well, everyone there just doesn't work, not even the lights..... -TOT, e-brakes....... - For a while with GD the east side was down due to one of the cable holders playing up, which is funny because I've been saying for the past three months that this particular one sounded like it was rubbing against the gondola. Go figure. And even with one side down, the west side only had 6 seats out of the eight working due to "there wasn'y any parts." -The Claw for once hadn't broken down, but ir was only on velocity 3 1/2. It was just such a sedated ride. When we went on Friday with the sunrise crew, it was doing nine. And another thing point out is that we had to wait three hours for GD. And this wasn't even at the peak times during the day either.
  21. And for us north-folk people.... ...."hey did you know that my cutlery set was made from Australia's largest steel coaster?"......
  22. Okay, so for Cyclone let's hypothetically adjust some things: a)Let's add decent themeing to the Cyclone queue, for example, add a motor to that big silver ma-jig to have a very slow, daunting spin and have dry ice, or even just a smoke machine inside the machine at the top, spilling smoke down the sides. This would also mean that on the ground around the tube, there would be a layer of fog, so a sequenced amount of spotlights, lasers, whatever, shining through the fog. Also, make those screens bigger. No-one wants to to watch the news on granny's 15cm black and white, and i don't want to watch it on a 34cm lcd screen, it just doesn't grab my attention. Now doing all of these will occupy riders queue time with something to look at, hence no-angry mobs bothering dreamworld about how long they had to wait. B)Give those ride-ops walkie talkies damnit, so they can relay what's happening faster. C) Have a ride-op (during busy periods) do only counting people in and organising them to get in to positions before the doors open. Also, as it is a emergency situation (although you wouldn't know through the lacck of themeing) have the lady tell them to rush or else they'll get... er... injured. Sirens help. Just some ideas though.
  23. Trust me, Dreamworld most definitely have no money problems. Look at the claw for example, alot of extra scenery if you ask me which is a nice touch to Dreamworld.
  24. Just reckon that something like a B&M flyer would go so well either on the island or at the old Thunderbolt site (preferably). Can you imagine how psyched guests would be how this new type of coaster puts you into a flying position? A lot of people really get wrapped about the Giant Drop or the Cyclone, but a flying coaster (not vekoma, and no, it will not be from vekoma), how tops would it be? To fit with the themeing I would call it, Thunerflyer! No, actually, some names like Tsunami, Whirlpool, Tornado, you know, something tacky to go with the natural disasters theme.
  25. Because no one likes odd numbers, very simple answer indeed. The only reason why the Tower Of Terror is excused is because it is divisible by three. Make any sense? Real answer. Just to put on one more carriage would require a lot of adjustments to the area where you queue before you enter (extra doors etc.) extra fittings for room adjustments, trim brake adjustments, and ultimately to add another carriage just wouldn't be practical from the Cyclone's point. Plus chances are Dreamworld won't be adding another train as a) arrow really don't exist) and why spend pointless amounts of money when you can optimise other ways that are cheaper and cause the same effects?
