When you say a different feeling of smoothness, how do you mean?

Amazing that the ride can keep the passengers safely in, but it has trouble keeping themeing attached, I think the problem with keeping tyres on is the fact they are only attached in the middle, and are rather heavy, and are unsuported at the sides, so a lot of stress would be on the anchorage point, however with the superman statue it would be a bit easier to bolt it on in more places. Im guessing with the MRT logo means something like "Metropolis rapid transport", or "Metropolis rail Transit" or something along those lines, but it would have looked better if at least the front car of the train had the superman logo as the main feature. Just a question with the 196 cm height limit, roughly how many people would be excluded from riding?

Well, to tell you the truth i havent found RCT3s themeing very limited at all, they have just gotten rid of a lot of the stuff that wasn't good (such as giant soccer balls and footballs) Ill get some more screens up soon.

Looking good. The H2O zone looks pretty nice, but a couple of issues i have with it is the fact there seems to be little colour co- ordination, aqua supports but a white tower. The other thing is how the slides have little dips peppered through them, its no fun trying to work up speed, only to go airborne when you hit the dip in the slide.

Today i had my work Christmas party, and during it i managed to get some close up shots of the ex WL rides currently on site. Also, after speaking to the owner, i have been told they have been in discussion for some time with a QLD operator (Not one of the major ones) to establish a small amusement park on site, so hopefully these rides will be operating again soo. Just reading the press release on this sites main page, it says that the ride pumps over 90 litres of water a minute. 90 litres of water per minute for the whole ride would have the flow rate equivalent of a mini can of coke flowing from each lanes outlet every second. Might be an error there. i think 9000 litres would be more accurate.

Im not entirely sure that it is now a standard "clone" layout parks can purchase, they are just examples. Both of them are fairly unconventional and space inefficient layouts. I think they are more just demonstrations of the companys capabilites.

Is that the one thats across the road from RMIT?

Summer is the peak time for DW anyway so they dont really need any extra help in attracting people, It would make more sense to run stuff like that at a time when they need more guests in.

Here is my first proper park in RCT2; An themed waterpark called "Water Temple". Features include a wave pool, kids pool, spa area, speed slide and several intergrated master blasters. BTW does anyone know how to stop master blasters from being closed because the exit is dangerous? Jeeze, fast typing there Bussy, good work. So was the wave pool shown the one at Sunway Lagoon? And how do WNW know for sure that DWWP is going ot be a duplication? Have they seen the plan? for all they know it could be radically different, theres even a possibility for the park to be worse than WnW. And anyway, complaining about it wont help. Its the card they have been dealt so they will just have to deal with it.

They could solve this problem in a number of ways: -Using a path cooling system that sprays water on to the paths to remove heat (Some waterparks have this) -Using materials that are poor conductors of heat (such as timber decking or marine carpet) -Shading the footpaths -Providing an alternative to walking.

What you need to remember is that there are no land buying costs for DW, but WnWSC has to pay for land in what would be an expensive area. Also, waterslides are fairly cheap, according to NGBSs website, a master blaster can range from US$500,000 to $1.5 million. Keep in mind that a master blaster is basically the upper end of what you can spend. At the other end of the scale, a simple short slide for use in a kids area (like the one in blue lagoon) would cost AU$500 - $1000) For a regular flume body slide, the cost is around $1000 per meter. So overall the costs of building a waterpark is much less than a theme park, so it would not be too bad.

What about the body slides (Twister, Flumes and Extreme H20 (But nobody really knows about the capacity of them))? Im not really a fan of wave pools or lazy rivers (I prefer a faster pace) so i might just brave the lines. But nightime sounds good, I love night swimming. Just another question, what are the slides like at night in terms of ride experience? are they well lit or do you get a cool ride in the dark? Also, if you are alone, what options do you have on the multi rider attractions (Mammoth, Speed coaster and Terror Canyon) Can you just line up and get paired with a stranger, or can you use a single person tube (like in the wave pool) or can you use a dual person tube with maybe a sandbag in the front?

I will be coming up to the GC in early-mid January and I was wondering what sort of queues the park has during this period. Also, because I am staying nearby i would be able to visit the park at night durind Dive in Movies, what are the queues for rides like at night and during the Dive in Movies? Thanks

Well firstly, I would like around 3 regular flume slides since they are fun even if they are simple. Then I would have a large tower with several thrill slides coming off it, such as a speed side, freefall slide, bowl slide, steep downhill one with turns etc. http://www.proslide.com/products/bodysliding.htm In the middle of the park would be a wave pool, but a large one with waves that can be ridden , not just small ones that bob you up and down. I would also put in a race slide, but it would be the kind where there is an enclosed section with turns before the open speed slide part, this sort of layout is good because it would differenciate it from super 8, it would have variety and gives riders a suprise since for part of the race they dont know how they are going against the others. http://www.pki.com/attractions/attractions...cfm?ride_id=121 Around the park would be a lazy river, with many branches that split off and rejoin, on these branches would be enterances to master blasters which would sort of go parallel to the lazy river acting as a thrilling form of transport, these master blasters would be designed so they interact with other rides too and parts of them would be somehow obsucred from view to make predicting the layout and keeping bearings difficult for riders but with many deviations and crosses over the river and all around, there would also be a couple of long "cross park blasters" that people could use to rapidly get from one side of the park to the other in one go by riding a master blaster, the system would be similar to the one used at wild wadi in Dubai.Visitors would have a choice, they could ride the lazy river the entire way, ride master blasters the whole way with short sections of riding the main lazy river in between, or a combonation of both, so there would be a lot of freedom. An important feature of the park is a large water playground with tipping buckets, with several sub sections for toddlers, younger kids and older kids. One of the master blasters would run right through the heart of the structure, right in the firing line of water cannons and the tipping bucket. Another tower could include a collection of 5 raft attractions, similar to mamoth falls. These could include an enclosed slide with turns, an open slide with turns, an open freefall slide, a Proslide bemoth bowl, and a proslide Tornado. Tropical plants would fill in any gaps, so in around 7 - 10 years time the whole place would look wonderful. I am not sure of the theme, prehaps some sort of balinese resort paradise, but as long as the gardens were lush anything would suit. Further on down the track after the park has opened it would be nice to see a coaster like roller soaker at Hersheypark.
